WE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR FRAME RUST. WE TOOK IT INTO A LOCAL ISUZU REPAIR SHOP ON 12-22-2010; THEY TOLD US THE FRAME WAS RUSTED THROUGH AND THAT THEY NEEDED TO ORDER A PART TO FIX IT. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SEVERAL MONTHS BECAUSE THE REPAIR SHOP CANNOT GET THE PART FROM ISUZU. THEY ALSO CANNOT TELL US WHEN THE PART WILL COME IN. I IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT MY CAR TO THE CLOSEST ISUZU SERVICE CENTER WITHOUT THE RECALL LETTER THAT I AM SUPPOSED TO GET FROM ISUZU, YET STILL HAVEN'T. UPON THEIR INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF THE RUST AND THE FRAME BEING CRACKED. ABOUT 1 1/2 YRS AGO THE CHECK ENGINE CAME ON IN MY 04 AXIOM. I TOOK TO THE SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS MISFIRING. I HAD THE SPARK PLUGS REPLACED, AND THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. WE THEN REPLACED 2 OF THE COILS, THEN THE SPARK PLUGS AGAIN, WITH NO LUCK. I HAVE EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER WHEN PULLING OUT FROM A STOP SIGN, RESULTING IN SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS FOR ACCIDENTS. THE ENGINE HAS BEEN KNOCKING FOR WELL OVER A YEAR, AND WHILE I'VE HAD 4 MECHANICS LOOK AT IT , NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. I HAVE TO LET THE VEHICLE RUN FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE DRIVING TO TRY AND AVOID THE ENGINE STALLING, AND I STILL HAVE SOME PROBLEMS WITH IT STALLING. I HAVE A 1998 ISUZU RODEO THAT WAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR EXCESSIVE CORROSION ON THE REAR LOWER LINK. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY RELATED PROBLEM. THE REAR SECTION OF THE VEHICLE FRAME IS ROTTING OUT AS WELL.
