That inspection confirmed aftermarket brake pads, rotors, and related components of unknown origin installed on both the front and rear, missing OEM hardware, improper lubrication, and wheel bearing issues contributing to the noise. The inspecting dealer documented that the braking system must be returned to OEM specifications before safe operation and further diagnosis could continue. Despite this, the manufacturer has declined to require OEM remediation, and the vehicle continues to operate with unauthorized aftermarket brake components. The grinding noise has continued and has since shifted toward the rear. The condition is reproducible, documented by video, and confirmed by independent inspection. I believe the vehicle was returned to service in an unsafe condition involving a critical braking system.Read more

I received a letter several months ago for: Manufacturer Recall Number25C41 NHTSA Recall Number25V541 I called the Ford dealership to schedule the recall repair and they told me parts were not available. I explained to them I had a recall letter stating parts were now available and to schedule the repair. The dealer said they had the parts on order and they have not received any yet. I asked them
... if I could get put on their schedule for when parts came in and they agreed. They said they would call me as soon as they had parts to make the repair. Meanwhile, I received another recall letting from Ford saying parts are available, please schedule the repairs. I have been calling Ford recall hotline and the Ford dealership for over two months trying to get the safety recall repairs completed. They will not fix my compromised airbags and I am not getting any support from Ford to get this resolved.Read more

Since we bought the vehicle in 2019, the passenger-side seat sensor didn't always go off when occupied. We asked the dealership to check it out in 2020 or 2021, however, due to the problem being inconsistent it couldn't be fixed. The inconsistency of the seat sensor has continued though the years, but lately, it has become more frequent. I am the usual occupant on the passenger side and I weigh

I have been saying that my vehicle is a safety hazard since April 2022. I have had it to the dealer 4x since then in addition to opening up several cases with Inifiniti Customer Service, but nobody has been able to protect my family and I and remedy the situation. At times the vehicle will not accelerate even when I push the gas all the way down. Then it will kick in and surge forward. I also
... have told them that at times it feels as if someone has rear ended me. There is a recall out there for cars manufactured through April 2020, but mine was manufactured in September 2020. Infiniti's recall is #R21A3 and the NHTSA ID is 21V373. I have experienced the same exact symptoms as those covered under this recall. Now Inifiniti is telling me that my transmission needs to be replaced as a result of metal shavings in the oil. Again, this could all have been caused by this fuel pump issue which was on their radar in 2021 and 2022 when I brought my car in the first time. Infiniti has failed to help me in every step of the way beginning with their Service Tech not fixing the issue back in 2022 through 2024 when I have consistently expressed my concerns while the car was still under warranty.Read more

The car had an internal transmission failure and caused most of the transmission fluid to leak out between inspections. Upon removing the cv axle on driver’s side, the seal was fine and replaced along with cv axle. The fluid drained and was only about half a liter (needs about 4.5L normally). After servicing the transmission fluid, the dealership did their assessment and came to the following c
... onclusion. “ Good Afternoon Sir We found the transmission system requires replacement due to an internal fault, including damage to the transfer shaft and bearings, with potential additional internal damage. Replacing the transmission can help restore smooth gear shifting and overall drivetrain functionality. To replace the transmission, you are looking at $9000.00 out the door. My apology on taking much longer to diagnose this properly. If you have any other questions please let me know. ” The drastic transmission failure which makes noises and engages and disengages while on cruise control shows the failure internally. Many metal pieces were found among the fluid when drained. This could and still can easily leave someone on the middle of the road with no time to drive to the shoulder. Car still has less than 100k miles with the severe transmission failure and the fluid leak which occurred prior to the transmission making noise. Essentially, the internal components caused the leak which the caused even more damage. I’m quoted $9,000 for the repair which occurred really early in the car’s life. I do a lot of longer trips away from home and can easily be left stranded in the middle of nowhere or even cause huge accidents when in heavy fast moving traffic if I lose drivability or if metal components fly off. The cv axle moves in and out of the transaxle side meaning the shaft can pop off as well.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding a safety-related windshield defect on my 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring. My vehicle is included in Lincoln/Ford recall 25C60 (NHTSA 25V730), which involves windshields manufactured with air bubbles in the laminate layer that can impair visibility and violate FMVSS 205 – Glazing Materials. Although my windshield does not show the “large air bubbles” d
... escribed in the recall, it has a different but significant defect: visible distortion when sunlight hits the glass. This distortion creates a warped, uneven visual field that interferes with my ability to see clearly through the windshield during normal daytime driving and is a distraction. The problem is consistent and repeatable under direct sunlight. The dealership inspected the vehicle but refused to replace the windshield because it does not match the exact bubble-related condition described in the recall. However, FMVSS 205 prohibits any glazing defect that impairs driver visibility, not only bubbles. The distortion I am experiencing clearly affects visibility and therefore presents a safety concern under the same federal standard cited in the recall. Based on the recall description and the nature of my defect, it appears possible that my windshield was produced using the same manufacturing process or materials that led to the recalled windshields. My issue may represent an additional manifestation of the same underlying defect. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as a potential related safety defect and consider whether the recall population should be expanded to include windshields exhibiting distortion rather than only those with visible bubbles. I can provide photos or video demonstrating the distortion in sunlight.Read more

Incident date: Jul 30, 2025
While driving the crankcase sensor malfunctioned and caused my vehicle to stall without warning, this is a safety issue because of you are driving at highway speeds this will prevent the vehicle from being controlled properly to get to the side of the road. This sensor does not give any engine codes suggesting that it needs replaced until it goes out completely. The check engine light did not come
... on until after the component failed. I ordered a new part directly through Ford and even they said "yes that part will go out without any warning at all and will shut the engine down completely". When this sensor went out, it also caused pressure to build up in the engine which in turn has led to several other components that now need to be replaced. I have a had a mechanic look at it, and it now requires a turbo intake hose and a new turbo because the pressure that was built up in the engine due to the crankcase sensor going out burst the turbo intake hose and prevented the turbo from working correctly. It's approximately $4,000 in repairs due to a $150 part going out.Read more

My vehicle experienced turbocharger failure consistent with these known defects, resulting in loss of engine power, which presents a serious safety hazard, particularly during highway driving, merging, or intersections. Sudden loss of propulsion increases crash risk and endangers vehicle occupants and others on the road. In some cases, turbo failure can occur with little or no warning, further increasing risk. The failure was confirmed by INFINITI/Nissan service departments, and the vehicle remains available for inspection. CarMax insurance approved the engine repair, acknowledging mechanical failure; however, they declined to approve turbocharger repair specifically because INFINITI has issued a known TSB and extended warranty covering turbo failure, deferring responsibility to the manufacturer. Despite the vehicle being within the extended warranty limits, Nissan denied coverage, claiming the vehicle has a “branded title.” This claim is unsupported by VIN reports, the loan originator, and CarMax’s own title search prior to leasing all confirm the title is not branded. Nissan has provided no documentation supporting its assertion. Nissan N.A. reviewed and closed the matter despite the known safety defect and lack of evidence for the title claim. While driving at approximately 65 mph on the I-405 freeway in Irvine, CA during rainy conditions, my 2019 Mercedes-Benz C300 suddenly and completely lost acceleration without warning. At the same moment, a Check Engine Light illuminated on the dash. I was forced to coast across all lanes and stop in the emergency shoulder in a very unsafe area with high-speed traffic passing close by in low visib

I contacted AAA and the vehicle had to be towed because it was not safe or driveable. My girlfriend was also in the car and both of us experienced significant fear and distress during and after the incident. My mechanic retrieved fault code P019185 and stated this is a known software problem with the engine control unit that requires a Mercedes software update and reset of mixture adaptations per a manufacturer LI/service document. This means the manufacturer appears aware of the defect and the required software fix, yet I received no recall notice or safety warning. A sudden total loss of engine power at highway speeds creates an extreme crash risk and life-threatening danger to the driver, passengers, and surrounding traffic. There have been other serious drivability issues with this vehicle in the past (misfires, coolant pipe failure, etc.), but this incident was the most dangerous. I am reporting this because this defect appears safety-related and could easily cause a fatality if it happens to someone else at freeway speeds. A few months ago, I received an email from CarFax letting me know that my vehicle, a 2019 Infiniti QX50 with 2.0L Turbo Engine had a major recall (NHTSA Recall Campaign No. 25V-437). The letter indicated the recall was due to issues with the engine bearings which could lead to a catastrophic failure. I wasn't sure what this meant, so I took the car to Austin INFINITI. The technicians checked the o
... il pan to see if there were issues. My understanding is that the oil pan should have been removed, drained of all oil to ensure there were no issues that could lead to the catastrophic failure of the engine. None of this was done. I was given my car back and told all was okay. Unfortunately On the evening of November 10, 2025, my vehicle’s engine suddenly seized while driving at highway speeds. Fortunately, I was able to coast onto the Frontage Road. For my protection, the Police Department arrived quickly to park police vehicles in the front and back of my car with their lights on to avoid a nighttime collision or worse. I had no idea why my engine suddenly lost power while driving down the highway and continued to refuse to start despite repeated attempts to restart the vehicle, the engine would not start. I was scared to death and this situation has exacerbated my current diagnosis of PTSD for which I am currently in treatment. This was a horrifying event that could have cost me my life. I can't eat or sleep and experience nightmares that my car died, then I am hit by a car driving at highway speeds as I tried to exit the vehicle. My wife and I are both terrified of driving the car now. I tried to resolve the issue with my local INFINITI dealership and even contacted NISSA/INFINITI executives. I was met with disregard, disrespect and a $1,700 bill to replace the starter that burned out as we kept trying to start the car. The starter burnout was a secondary cause due to the primary issue of the engine seizure. Infiniti disagreed and insisted on the $1,700 for the starter.Read more

Vehicle: 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country Engine: 6.2L L87 V8 Recall: N252494001 – L87 Engine Loss of Propulsion I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety defect involving my 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country related to NHTSA Safety Recall N252494001 (L87 Engine – Loss of Propulsion). My vehicle experienced a sudden engine failure consistent with the condit
... ions described in the recall, resulting in loss of propulsion. Due to this failure, General Motors authorized a full engine replacement at an authorized GMC dealership. After the engine replacement was completed, the replacement engine also failed in the same manner as the original engine, again resulting in loss of propulsion. This second failure occurred despite the vehicle being repaired according to General Motors’ recall procedures and specifications. Loss of propulsion creates a significant safety risk, especially while driving at highway speeds or in traffic, as it can lead to sudden power loss without warning and increases the risk of a crash. Despite the replacement engine failing in the same way as the original recalled engine, General Motors is now refusing to replace the second failed engine or provide a permanent remedy. As a result, my vehicle remains unsafe to operate and unresolved under the existing safety recall. I am concerned that the recall remedy is inadequate and that replacement engines may also contain the same defect, creating an ongoing safety hazard. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter to determine whether the recall repair is effective and whether additional corrective action is necessary to protect vehicle owners.Read more

... e or a caliper on rear brakes. However it was brought to my attention by the mechanic that the left side of the rear sub frame was rootted out by rust and broke almost causing a major accident. I have been to the Infinity of Naperville three times this year and muliple times over the course of 2yrs for maintence and the rear sub frame passed the inspection everytime! This should be a saftey concern for all of these Infinity QX80 vehicles in illinois that are exposed to salt with this kind of metal for a frame. This product that Infinity manufactured completly broke while driving after being inspected and passed just 3 months ago. I am also conserned about my main frame also. The 1st pic I have icluded is my rotted out sub frame and the 2nd 3rd pic is the rotting main frame!Read more

When I start at a low speed it's like it does not know which gear to go in. You push on the gas and it does not move much and then launches forward. It has done this since I purchased it in April 2025 used. When in auto stop and the engine starts up with my foot still on the brake, sometimes it will lurch and buck. Buick dealer did do a transmission fluid flush and it still does the same thing dail

today ( Dec 30, 2025) . my wife was driving my HONDA ODYSSEY on Highway 287 east NJ ( closed to livingston NJ ) . Here is the whole thing : The ODYSSEY suddenly stopped while my wife was downshifting. At that time, there was a car in front of our car at least 30 feet away. Once the car stopped almost completely. Some red warning letters were shown on the front dashboard. But since we all filled
... in in a big panic, no one saw what those words were. At that time, we felt the minivan vibrating. That is all we could recall since we were still trying to calm down. I am not sure it was still the same problem with the transmission we reported months ago. That is the whole store for today. And I also attached the last note I sent to you. Hi , To whom it might concern, To further the conversation, we had talked with the local Honda dealer, and they had test-driven it several times, but they insist there are no problems at all. They suggested that we replace the transmission fluid to improve the performance. We replaced it in the dealer store. But from the fall of this year, 2025. We feel the odyssey has the same problems again : 1. The vehicle struggles to accelerate quickly when the accelerator is pressed. 2. The vehicle accelerates, but there is a noticeable jerking sensation. 3. After pressing the accelerator, the engine RPM increases significantly (the engine noise also grows louder), but the car itself does not accelerate immediately. It takes several seconds before any noticeable increase in speed occurs. I checked online I noticed that in some cases, some odysseys stop on the highway and cause some injuries, which is terribly I also sent a note to Honda USA, and I got a reply, but it is useless. I do not know what I can do. I saw there was some recall (due to the transmission) on Othe dyssey touring model and elite models, but I wonder if there is any recall on my Odyssey EX-L model.Read more

While driving on the highway and using the hands free feature on iPhone, I said, Hey Siri, and somehow it made the automatic braking on my 2019 Infiniti Qx50 engage unexpectedly. This is not the first time it has engaged unexpectedly and there are also instances when the sensors engage without anything nearby.

The front brake pads are showing extremely uneven ware. Outer brake pad is at 2mm and the inner is at 7mm due to a spring issue on the front caliper. There is also a lip on the left rotor. The tech used 25-NA-365 to help identify the issue. However, my VIN is not covered under this repair. The result is a $500 out of pocket repair for something that should be a mfg defect and not wear and tear. As
... this was already outlined as an issue with other 2024 Chevy Colorado's I am asking this to be expanded to cover my vehicle as well. The issues was also causing my brake sensors to "detect" new brakes and I had to inform the vehicle that I have not had brake service done to trigger this alert.Read more
