DURING THE CLAIM ALLSTATE REFUSED TO PAY FOR A NEW FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER (INFINITY PART NUMBER 54401-JK00B) AND DEMANDED A USED PART, TAKEN OFF A SALVAGED "JUNK YARD" CAR BE USED. I INQUIRED ABOUT THE TESTING

BECAUSE ALLSTATE WOULD NOT PAY FOR A NEW PART I COULD NOT GET THE CAR REPAIRED AT THE DEALER AS THE DEALER ONLY PUTS NEW PARTS ON CARS. SO I TOOK THE CAR TO CALIBER COLLISION, 1203 AVE K, PLANO, TEXAS 75074. CALIBER WAS ABLE TO "WORK THE SYSTEM" TO GET ALLSTATE TO PAY FOR A NEW PART. MY UNDERSTANDING IS BODY SHOPS DELIBERATLY PURCHASE USED PARTS FOR A LOW QUALITY SUPPLIER THEN REJECT THE PART AND THEN ALLSTATE ALLOWS A NEW PART TO BE PURCHASED. JUST A LITTLE "FOOLING" THE INSURANCE COMPANY. SO COMPLIANT #1 IS WHY ALLSTATE IS ALLOWED TO PUT UNTESTED MAJOR STRUCTURAL PARTS FROM JUNK YARD CARS ONTO CARS ON US HIGHWAYS. THIS IS SIMILAR TO THE STATE FARM BONDING VS. SPOT WELDING REPAIR DONE ON CAR ROOFS WHICH CAUSED INJURY AND A MAJOR LAWSUIT. MY COMPAINT #2 IS THAT CALIBER RE-USED THE SINGLE USE "CRUSH NUTS" WHICH SECURE THE SUSPENSION TO THE UNIBODY DESPITE BEING SHOWN THAT INFINITY LISTS THESE AS 1 TIME USE PARTS WHICH MUST BE REPLACED. I FOUND THIS OUT WAS WAS TOLD THAT IF I PURCHASED THE NUTS I WOULD BE REIMBURSED AND IF I INSTALLED THEM MYSELF MY WARRANTY WE REMAIN IN FORCE. NOW I CANNOT GET CALIBER TO REIMBURSE ME THE $17.28 FOR THE NEW CRUSH NUTS. HOW CAN BODY SHOPS BE ALLOWED TO NOT FOLLOW AUTO MANUFACTURES SAFETY DRIVEN REQUIREMENTS AND RE-USE CRUSH NUTS THAT ARE ONE TIME USE ONLY. ANOTHER MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN ON THE SAME REPAIR.Read more

INFINIT HAS ISSUES WITH THEIR CONVERTIBLE TOP MECHANISM. THEY RUN A METAL TO PLASTIC GEAR THAT STRIPS AND FAILS. THIS CAUSES THE TOP TO SOMETIMES STOP MID CYCLE AND THROW AN ERROR CODE. THEN THE OWNER IS UNABLE TO SECURE THE TOP. I HAD TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER WITH THE TOP IN MID POSITION, NOT SAFE. FRANKLY NOR IS IT TO SAFE TO TOW IN THAT POSITION. IN MY CASE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME MORE THAT ONCE.

AFTER A CHARGE THE CAR WAS DRIVABLE. I PICKED UP AND DROPPED OFF AT MY MECHANIC. THEY TESTED EVERYTHING- BATTERY COMPLETELY FINE AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. CAR WAS FINE WHEN THEY DROVE. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY IN MY 2013 INFINITI JX35 3-4 TIMES. DEALERSHIP CONTINUES TO SAY THIS IS NORMAL. RECENTLY, MULTIPLE EXTERIOR LIGHT BULBS HAVE GONE OUT AND THE 'INSTRUMENT CLUSTER' SUDDENLY WENT DARK WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I CANNOT SEE METERS LIKE GAS, SPEED, ETC. I CANNOT HEAR OR SEE MY BLINKER OR HEADLIGHT INDICATORS. ADDITIONALLY, ALL THE POWER CONTROLS INCLUDING SPEED CONTROL NO LONGER
