When breaking the pedal starts to bounce and make a super loud noise like if the rear tire is flat. It does it sporadically at low speed breaking making it hard to stop the car. I have taken it ti the dealer numerous time and the Infiniti special mechanic cant find the issue. Also, when driving on the highway the slippery sensor turns on slowing down the car suddenly almost causing an accident.

The dashboard on this vehicle seem to be failing in such a way that it has become extremely shiny & sticky and causes major visibility issues. Nothing that we have used to clean the dash works to remove the shininess. This has gotten so bad that the glare caused makes it very difficult to see out of the windshield.

On 7/13/21 afternoon, I parked my car in a parking garage of Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, IN. Around 6 pm, as I was backing out of my parking spot on reverse gear and turning the steering wheel, the car seemed sluggish. So, I pressed the accelerator -- lightly, I believe . The university police and medic arrived promptly, as did two of our friends. One friend drove my wife and me to IU Health Hospital emergency in Lafayette, IN, and the other friend waited at the accident spot for AAA to come. Apparently, AAA came a little later and towed the car to Nissan of Lafayette body shop. Based on the x-rays and CT scans done at the emergency, the attending physician's assistant told me -- apparently, after consulting with a neurosurgeon -- that I suffered two fractures in a neck bone ("transverse process of cervical vertebra"). She gave me a hard collar and asked me to wear it 24 hours a day, expect when taking a shower, for 6 to 8 weeks. She also asked me to see a neurosurgeon, whom I will see on 7/26/21. The body shop person I spoke with next day told me that the car would likely be totaled (the car is still there). Since then, I have been thinking why the car moved so fast and also searching the web to find out any reason for it. Could it be an instance of the "sudden acceleration" problem? I must say that I have been driving Infiniti cars for many years. I have been very pleased with them so far, as well as the service provided by Infiniti dealers, especially my current one, Dreyer & Reinbold Infiniti of Indianapolis. I have decided to inform NHTSA of this accident so that no other person driving an Infiniti car meets with an accident like this.Read more

Two weeks after having my G37 serviced at the Las Vegas dealership the engine shut down while driving on the freeway at full speed. The car rapidly lost power and speed. The gas peddle was unresponsive and after decelerating, the car would only move forward at very slow speed. Their vehicle inspection report provided to me two weeks early reported the heater hoses and connectors where inspected and did not require replacement. When I Questioned this they stated it was a plastic part within the heater hose that failed and they don't check that. I consulted the maintenance manual for the car and at now mileage or time point does infiniti recommend replacing the hose. I have had this car serviced at an Infinity dealership every 7,500 miles since bought new. At no time did they ever recommend replacing the hose. This may be more of a safety issue with Infiniti's service program than the car. But the car computers response to the condition also but driver safety at risk.Read more

I am writing the complaint to inform you and request an investigation into the Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) passenger seat sensor. I recently purchased a 2011 Infiniti G37x sedan with approximately 62,251 miles on June 28th, 2021. This vehicle has had one owner prior to me and has a clean CarFax report with no issued accidents or collisions reported, based on the overall evaluation from
... an independent repair shop. The main issue experienced with the G37x vehicle and the reason for the manufacturer should create a safety recall was the air bag seat sensor was malfunctioning, as verified by an independent mechanic. I have experienced other vehicle manufacturers issue voluntary recalls and repairs because these passenger occupancy sensors may degrade and fail to detect a passenger in the front seat. This appears to be a very common recall issue. The fault code presented from the ODB-II confirmed to be the air bag seat sensor was malfunctioning and required to be replaced/repaired completely, or all the airbags would not deploy at all to the passenger and both the driver. I am therefore requesting that INFINITI/Nissan North America to investigate and note this experience/issue with the air bag seat sensor and issue a recall for this particular issue to the owners of such affected vehicles. I deem that there is a risk of many vehicles that are having a similar issue with the seat sensor which will cause the air bag system to not function properly in the event of an accident or collision when the air bag would needed to be deployed. I am writing the complaint to inform you and request an investigation into the Infiniti Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) passenger seat sensor. I recently purchased a 2011 Infiniti G37x sedan with approximately 62,251 miles on June 28th, 2021. This vehicle has had one owner prior to me and has a clean CarFax report with no issued accidents or collisions reported, based on the overall evaluation from
... an independent repair shop. The main issue experienced with the G37x vehicle and the reason for the manufacturer should create a safety recall was the air bag seat sensor was malfunctioning, as verified by an independent mechanic. I have experienced other vehicle manufacturers issue voluntary recalls and repairs because these passenger occupancy sensors may degrade and fail to detect a passenger in the front seat. This appears to be a very common recall issue. The fault code presented from the ODB-II confirmed to be the air bag seat sensor was malfunctioning and required to be replaced/repaired completely, or all the airbags would not deploy at all to the passenger and both the driver. I am therefore requesting that INFINITI/Nissan North America to investigate and note this experience/issue with the air bag seat sensor and issue a recall for this particular issue to the owners of such affected vehicles. I deem that there is a risk of many vehicles that are having a similar issue with the seat sensor which will cause the air bag system to not function properly in the event of an accident or collision when the air bag would needed to be deployed. This Item is called the rear cross member that attach's the rear shocks, drive axle and brakes.
