I have been attempting since July to get the recall repaired. I went there in July after calling and making an appointment but they did not have a loaner car so I left. No one could tell me how long the repair would take. Attempt # 2 called Infiniti of Coconut creek and explained that I was calling to get an appointment to have the recall for my steering repaired and I wanted to make an appointme
... nt . He told me to come down. I explained to him what happened last time and I didn't want to make an unnecessary trip and I wanted to make sure it was something they could fix today or that they had a loaner car available for me. I then asked for a supervisor who advised me they had no loaner cars and he was not sure how long the repair would take. He said that he would check with the tech and put me on a list for a loaner car after a 10 minute rant on how they have no loaner cars b/c customers like me don't bring them back. That was 4 months ago never to hear from him again. Attempt # 3 in November called again same run around, sent emails to both Infiniti and Infiniti of coconut creek and heard back from the Service manager same person I spoke to in July (although he denies it. I recognize his voice. He stated that they needed to order the part, that it would take 2 to 4 weeks and once it came in he would call me to schedule the repair. Much like last time no call back. It's now been over 5 weeks and I still have not heard back regarding the repair of my recalled car.Read more

I recently have bought this car. I had heard an issue with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and the belts where making a chirp during 1,500- 3,000 rpm. I took it into the dealership 10 days after I bought it while the vehicle was still under factory warranty and they said they inspected the belt system and could not replicate the issue. Later in the year I was able to get a video of the vehicle mak
... ing the noise and called and scheduled another appointment. After I made the appointment I started researching online I came across I was not the only Consumer having issues with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and Infiniti put out a Service Bulletin # ITB17-004 in regards to this issue. Looking at the bulletin I discovered that my vin fell in that spectrum of vin related to the service bulletin. I was able to get my car fixed the tensioner and serpentine belt got replaced with my extended warranty. Infiniti would not fix my car because it was past the time period on the powertrain warranty even though my my car only had 36,000 miles when I first discovered the issue. I understand the difference from a service bulletin and a recall. But I want to report this issue because there is obviously a quality issue with these serpentine belts and tensioner in specific to the 3.0 twin turbo engine that could cause a safety issues for consumers. I am advocating for other consumers and their safety because if this serpentine belt and tensioner where to fail while in motion making the car stall and over heat while on the road this could cause sever danger to patrons of the highway and could result in death. This service bulletin issue needs to be turned into a recall.Read more

I was driving on Business Highway 85 in Thomasville, North Carolina on a clear, cool day. There were no other cars on the road, and no overpasses. While traveling at about 60 miles per hour, all of a sudden there sounded a loud bang overhead, like an explosion. I immediately pulled over to discover the sunroof was completely shattered, appearing to have exploded from the inside out, with the glass
... pointing upward toward the center. Luckily, the sun shade was closed or glass would have flown all over myself and my son in the backseat. Also fortunate that no other cars were on the road, as glass would have flown at any cars behind me as well. I reached my destination and cleaned up the glass and vacuumed it so as not to endanger anyone while driving. I have not had the car inspected yet, but it is available for inspection. There was no warning whatsoever of this happening, and I am certain nothing fell on the car. There was nowhere for anything to fall from and there was nothing in the crevice but shattered glass.Read more

Passenger air bag sensor is faulty, Infiniti suggested the only replacement is a new $8000 seat.
Incident date: Sep 10, 2021
The Air Bag Warning Light on the dash blinks continuously and the Front Passenger Air Bag Status Light remains on whether or not the seat is occupied. I took the car to the Infiniti dealer. The Service Advisor said the Occupant Classification System Control Unit or OCS sensor needs to be replaced but Infiniti no longer provides this part; and furthermore, Infiniti advises against owner replacing
... the unit with a used part. I asked the Service Adviser what solution does Infiniti suggest and he said Infiniti does not suggest any solution. I contacted Infiniti Consumer Affairs Department. The Infiniti representative said the vehicle is more than 10 years old and Infiniti no longer manufactures the part; therefore, there is nothing they can do. I then asked the Infiniti Consumer Affairs Department what will happen in a situation where the airbags would normally be deployed considering the airbag warning light continues to blink and the “PASS AIR BAG” “2 OFF” is lit? I was told to ask to contact the dealer for their response. I wanted a response from Infiniti proper, the manufacturer, so I asked again. And again they said to contact the dealer. The dealer said all the airbags would be deployed at the same time and that there was no safety issue. Quoting from an Infiniti Service Bulletin Owner's Letter in the past: "If the red air bag warning light in your vehicle continuously flashes after the vehicle is started, please take your vehicle to the dealership as soon as possible. In the interim do not allow passengers to ride in the passenger seat. If the dealer fails, or is unable to make the necessary repairs free of charge, you may contact the National Consumer Affairs Department, Infiniti Division, Nissan North America, Inc., P.O. Box 685003, Franklin, TN 37068-5003. The toll free number is 1-800-662-6200. You may also contact the Administrator, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration..." My vehicle gas fuel door opens electronically/automatically. Once motor is turned off, then you can push the door open and proceed to unscrew the gas cap and fuel the car. I recently found out that this simple process malfunctioned and I had to pay Infiniti to unlock the door, so I can fuel my car! To my "Disappointment" I was advised by Infiniti, that a little, tiny part {actuators that power mec
... hanical devices (windows, sunroofs, seats, etc.)} is what's needed to resolve this issue, only it will cost me, out of pocket approximately $800, because the extended warranty, which I had at the time {car shield} does not cover it; even though, that may present a safety hazard for me should someone decides to put sugar, water or other substance into my gas tank, because I am now exposed and unprotected! Having a premium car with all the wonderful features, never bought me to focus upon a fuel door release, but now, I realized that Infiniti did not install and inside option to open the gas fuel door, in case of an emergency like this! In contacting Infiniti, I asked why didn't they install the same inside release for the fuel door, as with most cars and their feedback was "my car was built without an installed backup {inside fuel door release capability} and that's just the way it was built!" No further explanation, accommodations, customer satisfaction, discounts; just no more conversation from Infiniti! To date, I feel very unprotected, hoping that no one will mess with my car and push the fuel door open for malicious reasons. I've already spent over $100 with Infiniti to get the fuel release door opened, but paying another $800 is too steep, when Infiniti should have provided this extra safety for my vehicle. Why was this model chosen to be left without additional protection and backup to protect our fuel door access? I hope you will create a "RECALL" on this fuel door power actuators for at least this 2010 FX35 model, because it does in fact present a safety hazard.Read more

... ppt to have concerns checked.. ie transmission hesitation and electrical . I brought it in got a loaner. Many days later it was ready and I could pick it up they could find no issues they fixed nothing but the groan in the gas tank that's it. They said they couldn't duplicate it. So I reiterated to them to make sure that they understood that it was done at random and it's still being done at random months later. So I brought the car home and I've just been dealing with it not knowing what else to do cuz if they don't take the car and actually drive it like it's their own they probably won't experience it just driving around the parking lot. And even though they had it a week and could have done that I guess they didn't. Well then back in the end of August beginning of September my car wouldn't start I had to put the key fob next to the button in order to start it which I didn't figure out till later lots of electrical things were happening at that point added to what I already had so I brought it to them and they said it was the battery it was under warranty so they changed and explain that that should take care of all of my issues and if not bring it back in. So I've made another appointment for today and I'm bringing it back in because the hesitation is still there there's more electrical issues there's always been a Bluetooth electrical issue there's now rear camera, volume sometimes work sometimes blows your ears out, vibration in engine compartment, unlock door open door it sounds unlocking again repeatedly repeatedly and liftgate stillRead more
