While driving the car the engine suddenly stopped completely and we rolled the car to the side of the road. Had this happened on the highway a bit earlier it could have been a major accident as it was snowing heavily and there were snow plows and semis at high speeds. With both control arms going out at same time, I feel this is a dangerous, quality control issue from Infiniti. The local Infiniti dealer researched the problem and found that there is a defective sensor in the passenger seat bottom. CVT have been told by one Infiniti Dealership the the fluids never need to be flushed, changed or filled. Then I hear about the Transfer Differential which I am assuming is the Transfer Case is leaking and that it would need to be replaced entirely along with the rear coupling costing nearly $10K in repair (Estimated $8,500 alone on these two items). I have found online people and even other Infin
... iti dealerships where these fluids are flushed and refilled regularly of which in discussing with the dealership these findings, they advised they never have to be flushed, but it is recommended through forums and other dealerships of such. In finding more about the history of my car, I have found that it has NEVER had a flush of the Transfer Differential or CVT or other factors of changing fluids. I advised I recently had a burning smell along with grinding. They only say I need to completely change that out. If I have a leak, then that should have been the first directive in fixing the seal (since this is a sealed compartment). I have 3 times where the power wasn't going to the transmission where I almost got into accidents. Thankfully, the other driver's were able to merge or brake as these were primarily city streets. I found a video where a gentleman had the same issue, the CVT was replaced, and the issue only got worse. How is this allowed or possible?Read more

On 12/11/21 my vehicle had limited turning (left or right) capability. The vehicle has < than 23K miles, was purchased at Bommarito Infiniti, and has been serviced at the same dealership since I purchased it. ... ty because it was supposedly a reliable vehicle, based on my prior history/ownership of a 2006 G50. I made timely payments for 5 years, performed all of the required maintenance, and took my car in for all of the Infiniti “recalls.” After the ability to turn failed, I took the vehicle to Bommarito Infiniti for a diagnostic and routine oil change. The steering diagnostic found 3 leaks on the steering rack and pinion., (no oil was visible on the ground). I did not have any warning lights for low steering fluid or service required indicators, but the dealership stated the power steering fluid was low. I contacted Infiniti Consumer Affairs department for review of the faulty part, considering that I had less than 23k miles on the vehicle. Stewart at Infiniti Consumer Affairs stated that the claim for repair assistance was denied due to the vehicle being out of warranty and the "lack of service history" with Bommarito Infiniti. When I questioned him about defining/explaining what he meant by the lack of history, he could not explain his statement. He placed me on hold, and then returned only to reiterate his previous statement. I then informed him and verified with the dealership that I did not deny any required repair or service that was recommended/required. The dealership also stated that the rack and pinion that was installed on my Q50 had to be a faulty part because this is the 1st time that a 2016 Q50 with less than 36k miles has ever needed this part replaced. My car just displayed red and white flashing indicators on the dash and automatically screeched to a halt, completely out of my control, in the middle of a busy intersection. Because the road was damp from rain, my car actually skidded. I was not going to hit anything, there was no car or object in front of me. I was driving at abo
