I was driving my car and heard a loud sound and then my airbags went off. I lost control on my steering and was able to coast the car to shoulder. The airbags deployed even though there was no collision with another car. Under further inspecting it looks as if all the bolts came loose on the drive Trane. I have no idea why the airbags went off. I did sustain an minor injury to my hand. police
... were called, fire trucks checked for possible fire hazards. I looked for recalls and or air bag malfuctions for this year make and model but did not find any. Had I not been in the far right lane I could have been in a serious accident. The airbags deploying scared me. Both the driver and passenger side airbags went off. I was the only one in the vehicle.Read more

Incident date: Mar 20, 2022
On three occasions the headlight assembly became unsealed allowing moisture to enter the sealed headlight assembly, thus short circuiting the HID bulb and ballast. This affected both the drivers and passenger headlight assembly the first time and just last week the driver's side light, again. We have seen other JX35, as well as QX60 models having moisture in the headlight assembly (light not funct
... ional), and were told by the dealership that they currently have two other cars (same model) on the lot with the same issue. Searches on line show this is a continual problem with these models (JX36 and QX60). The manufacture is not standing behind their product and this is a safety hazard as the vehicle is without a, or both headlights.Read more

The vehicle on at least 4 occasions has stopped accelerating when driving the vehicle (first time I believe was fall 2021, this last time was Spring 2022). Most of the times that the issue was noticed, the car was was moving at slower speeds (35 or less). The engine remained running but pressing on the gas pedal didn't make the vehicle increase it's speed. The first time it did this we took it
... to the dealership to inspect. They could not replicate the issue and they said that no error codes showed up. We left with no repairs or answers. It happened 2 more times after that. Each of those times we were able to stop the vehicle and get it to go again or it would start to respond to pushing on the gas pedal and would accelerate. The 4th time this happened I was in the middle of an intersection turning and it wouldn't accelerate. I was able to slowly roll into a gas station. I tried stopping and turning the vehicle off and on again to see if the problem would go away, however each time the car only slowly inched forward. I parked and then the vehicle started acting weird. The AC shut off and the steering wheel locked. There were three error lights that came on. The first said "FCW Malfunction See Owner's Manual" and second was "IBA OFF" and then the "! inside a triangle" appeared. These appeared only after stopping the vehicle for the last time right before it wouldn't start again. The vehicle was towed to the dealership. The error reading they got was c1601 and they believe the alternator needs to be replaced. This doesn't seem to line up with the issues we have been having nor the error warning lights that appeared. The last time this happened my child was in the car with me. Had we pulled out to turn and the car wouldn't go we could have very easily been hit by oncoming traffic. It is very troubling that the dealership doesn't seem to really know what is wrong with the car.Read more

While driving on a clear day with no traffic in front of me or debris on the road at approximately 45 mph, a master warning light appeared on my dash with an accompanying warning signal and simultaneously the emergency braking system engaged and brought my vehicle to a sudden stop. As quickly as it started, the warning and braking ceased and left me stunned and terrified. Had I been in traffic o
... r on a highway, I am quite certain that I would have been rear-ended. Luckily, that was not my fate yesterday but this defect is serious and dangerous. I have contacted the dealer and dealer service department. The service department informed me that they could inspect the vehicle in 4 weeks. The dealer said that there are multiple computers in the vehicle and that computers can be glichy. This vehicle has had multiple computer issues since I first leased the car starting approximately 5 months into my lease. I have received a malfunction warning on numerous occasions and have had it in for service where they told me that they inspected the vehicle and all systems seemed to be working fine even though I showed them multiple pictures of the warning. The dealer told me that I should disregard the warning and that customers complain about it often but that it just indicates that there is snow, ice or debris covering the sensors. This is not consistent with my experience.Read more

The car does not start once it is parked, ignition is turned off and car is locked. The car requires a jump in order for it to start. Once it is jumped, the car has malfunction alerts, the battery light is lit in the vehicle and some features of the car do not work (i.e. lane assist, auto feature light is flashing, but when pressed nothing happens). My safety has been put at risk because the car
... could possibly shut off while I am driving, I could be stranded somewhere with my two young sons due to the car not starting. Once the car is shut off and locked, it does not restart. Luckily I have AAA and I have been able to get jumps 4 separate times over the past 2 weeks, but some are not that fortunate. I picked up the vehicle on February 14, 2022, so this should not be happening. I leased the vehicle from Kings Infiniti and have taken the car to them to get serviced every single time. The 1st time, the battery was changed because they thought that was the issue. The 2nd time, the telematics control unit was changed because they believed that was issue. The 3rd time, the battery was changed because they discovered the connection to the negative terminal in the battery would pop out causing the battery to discharge and the car would not start. Today, was the 4th time I took to vehicle in to Kings Infiniti and they kept it because they want to determine what is wrong. Also, when I brought my car in this morning, there was another person with the same 2022 QX60 experiencing the same problems as me and he purchased his car on Monday. Since I now know this problem is not solely my car, I want to inform you so Infiniti can be made aware of this major issue. No one should require a jump to start a brand new car. Something is happening once the car is turned off, locked and then attempted to re-start. In addition, when this happens, you need to press the "open door" button on the key to open the car because you are unable to open the door by simply touching the handle.Read more

My steering wheel heater used to work normally, meaning an acceptable temperature, and divided evenly through my steering wheel. It is now only getting SUPER hot, to where I cannot even hold it, on the bottom left part of the steering wheel. The rest of the steering wheel is cool.

2013 JX 35, rear subframe is cracked. With this vehicle only being in service approx 9yrs, i find it hard that a frame issue is even possible. This sounds like a manufacturer defect than anything else. Inspection at my local dealer found the issue when I brought it in from oil change. 3rd party service centers have all stated that there is no way that this truck has a subframe issue

The timing chain needs to be replaced on my vehicle with under 80,000 miles. Researching the issue i found that this is a very common problem with this specific engine. This is an $80,000+ car brand new and it did not last 80,000 miles. This is an obvious part malfunction due to the design of the vehicle. Infiniti should do something. It is a costly repair.
