I found the service manager, he went out and got a technician, the tech stuck his head into the jeep and said it was antifreeze. I told him I don’t know what it is, but I feel weird. They proceeded to lift the hood and there was black smoke, the tech said the “PVC” hose was disconnected. I didn’t know what that was, I left the jeep there. I didn’t feel well throughout the weekend, went to my Dr. Monday March 20, 2023. I had a very bad headache, short of breath, nausea, just feeling really bad and run down. I was told it was possible carbon monoxide poisoning, especially since that PVC hose not connected would distribute exhaust into the cabin. I was then taken back to the emergency room on Sunday March 26, 2023, I couldn’t stop vomiting, stomach hurt so bad and headache. I reached out to the dealership, and informed them what happened. They never replied back. I need help please, I’m a disabled U.S. Air Force retired veteran with COPD and other medical conditions. This situation is unacceptable. I’ve tried to get a meeting with the owners, on several occasions. Since they had my engine taken apart and just sitting out back of their dealership for months. When operating the vehicle the steering will suddenly without warning go from power steering to a very stiff steering which someone of limited upper body strength would have great difficulty maintaining control of the vehicle. I was informed that my vehicle was unsafe to drive and the car generated safety malfunction codes with the technician. The car needed to have the ADES Control Unit Replaced and the parts needed to repair the vehicle was on back order. I received a loaner vehicle all within 30 -45 minutes after arriving. I was very stressed and in a state of shock that I broke down crying. Had I drove my normal commute to work that day, it would’ve been fatal. The Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in Louisiana is the worst place to encounter.I’m 42, and never had a vehicle accident. Medical treatment was needed after this incident. My car was serviced days before this happened by the Infinity dealership because the shifter malfunctioned while driving. Warning notices displayed on the screen so I pulled over and was unable to get the car back in drive. The vehicle generated a code upon arriving at the dealership. I was told it was not covered under the manufacturer warranty because coffee residue was visible on the shifter. I had my new car less than 60 days and incurred a $900 bill from the Infinity dealership to replace the shifter. I was in a loaner for almost a week. The collision malfunction occurred 5 days after I received my vehicle back from having the shifter replaced. It’s been over a month now and the part is still on back order. Brand new vehicle, 2 incidents that generated safety codes, x3 car payments on a car unsafe to drive.Read more

... ries, the vehicle shifted into drive after restarting the car. Was able to drive the vehicle straight to my local Infinity Dealership. I arrived prior to 7:30am and was promptly assisted. The car received a malfunction code and was shuttled home by the dealership while further diagnostics occurred. The dealership called to let me know the shifter malfunctioned and it wasn’t covered under the manufacturer warranty due to visible coffee residue. The car wasn’t safe to drive so I had no choice but to pay for the repair. The dealership had the shuttle service pick me up at my house and bring me back to the dealership in order to put me in a loaner vehicle while servicing. I was required to pay for the part so it could be ordered. The total cost was $748.80 for the part “new shifter”/labor. The shifter was on the desk but I was told the coffee residue was cleaned off of it. I picked my car back up on 2/13. I had a major incident that occurred on the vehicle on 2/15 that I just submitted for review. The car had a safety malfunction sensing a head on collision that forcefully stopped the car while I was driving around 40-50 mph.Read more

They EyeSight continuously disables. Dealership cannot find any codes or issues with it. They say it is the weather, dirty windshield, clouds. It has been happening since week 3 of ownership. I clean the windshield all the time, there is no clouds. I have another Subaru with EyeSight and it doesn’t disable like this one. 90% of the time the system disables itself as soon as I turn it on.

The incident was completely spontaneous and posed a huge threat for not only myself, but drivers around me. After towing the car to my nearby mechanic I was told it was a possible problem with the Hydraulic brake/control assembly and ABS system. The estimate for repairs was nearly $3,000. My car is available for inspection upon request. After research, it appears it is a relatively common problem with my car’s make and model. Ford models of years previous to mine have seemingly had a similar issue, as well as others that were the same as mine. The damage possible with this manufacturing error is inexcusable. I get "phantom braking" on average about every 2-3 hours of highway driving with cruise control enabled. All of a sudden without any road obstructions or vehicles ahead, the car will suddenly break hard even at highway speeds. Sometimes it happens when I approach an underpass or get to a section where the pavement is darker than before.

While driving on the freeway at 60-70 mph, in 20 degree weather at night, the engine suddenly, and without warning, stopped. A dash error message showed instructions to put the car in park and push the start / run button. Somehow no one was hurt and the vehicle did not get into an accident, but it came to a stop in the middle of the exit ramp, which had a steep uphill grade. The van was unable to be restarted. A Good Samaritan helped push the car to a nearby lot while car was in neutral. It was unable to be started then and two and three days later. The roadside assistance couldn’t be provided until a few days later because the incident occurred at the beginning of the weekend. The vehicle was finally towed to the closest dealership today. The dealership said the software update is available for the recall of potential loss of motive power, which appears to be the issue we experienced. They said it would take 2-3 weeks to look at the vehicle due to their backlog. I called the dealership where we bought it, and they said the same. Also, based on initial research, it seems the software update will only give advance warning when an electrical short is about to cause the engine to stop so the driver can have advanced warning and presumably drive to safety without an accident. Unfortunately, the manufacturer still needs to address the root cause and build a solution to prevent the electrical short from happening in the first place. The situation is troubling and the manufacturer and both dealerships are even stalling in getting us a complimentary loaner vehicle. The glass windshield of my 2020 Hyundai Venue SEL began cracking in two different locations obstructing my view while driving. I was not able to locate any chips from road debris in the cracks.
