The axle/springs should be rated to 5100 if that is what is printed on sticker. I am forced to "upgrade" or replace springs out of pocket. While waiting in a parking lot, I was reviewing the settings available on the lower center display, one of those options was for "Camera." Inside this menu I found and made adjustment for options like brightness, contrast, tint, color, and black level... and while most of those seemed to work well, and I was able to make suitable adjustments to the camera--the tint and color options seemed to ha
... ve no effect on the image. So, I opted to adjust tint from the default/middle value all the way to the left/lowest value and save the settings. Even then, with that saved, I was able to switch to the camera and could see there was no difference in the image still. I then remained with the vehicle, still parked with the engine idling, waiting another ten minutes or so before preparing to leave. When I put my vehicle in reverse gear, I was shocked to see that the camera displays had gone completely black. I could no longer see the rear images when backing up. I tried going back to park and again to the rear setting--still, there was no image being displayed for the cameras. I could see some items on-screen still, like the button to switch camera views and to toggle the parking sensors on/off. When switching camera views/angles, the system would continue displaying the same two black/empty displays. I tried turning the engine off and back on--but that didn't seem to have any effect, the system remained broken. I was able to use the rear view camera on the reviewer mirror--but the normal backup cameras remained non-functioning. I promptly tried opening the camera settings again to reset all of the brightness, contrast, tone, color, and black level settings to the default values... but still, the preview area was black and no image could seen. I've verified the outside of the vehicle... these cameras are not blocked at all. There was nothing that could've cause these to go dark. I also filed an online complaint with Mopar on 7/11/23 and have not received an electronic reply, either. This is a known issue on 2017 Ram 2500 trucks and something must be done about it. My vehicle is not braking safely and I fear to drive the vehicle at this time. Furthermore, our life circumstances require me to often pull a trailer, for which I am unable and uncomfortable with doing at this time. Please help. Dealership is reporting that this could be up to an $1800 or more repair for me to pay, out of pocket, which is unethical. This issue was originally repaired under warranty and persists. We wonder if the same thing happened to them but not as much damage. One recall involves the heater for the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve, and the other recall involves wiring and electrical connectors in the system that controls air flow for heating and air conditioning. Subsequently I did some research and found the the NHTSA denied a Defect Petition DP20-004 for a complaint that had been filed by Mr. Surjit Singh for the same failure in his 2013 Mercedes E350. I also found many other on-line complaints about leaking rear brakes lines in 2013 model Mercedes E350 cars. I recommend the NHTSA re-investigate this serious car defect.Read more

Driving West on I8 from AZ into San Diego my vehicle would lose all ability to accelerate and start decelerating on the upward climbs of the Crestwood Summit highway pass through the Cuyamaca Mountains. The 2013 Ford F-150 had an issue with the transmission randomly shifting while driving. Ford issues a Customer Satisfaction Program, 19B05 to attempt to address through reprogramming. It was later followed up by a Safety Recall 19S19 and supplemental 19S07 to expand the recall. ... ram 19N01 to actually replace a component called the Transmission Molded Leadframe assembly and also extended the coverage. My truck had several instances of random down shifting while driving so upon taking to the dealer it was found to be part of this Customer Satisfaction Program. The part has been on order for about 9 months and no resolution in sight. Ford has said that since this is part of the Customer Satisfaction Program, and not a Recall, that they are not obligated to provide any other assistance. As a daily driver I cannot count on the truck to be safely driven but have little option. I've had numerous instances of random shifting at highway speeds leading to temporary and sudden issues with control of this 6,000lb vehicle. On some occasions after stopping at an intersection and then accelerating into traffic it will not have shifted into 1st so while accelerating into traffic I'm left not able to move quickly with other drivers taking evasive action to avoid hitting me. I don't know how to elevate this as a priority with Ford to secure parts and get these trucks fixed in a timely manner or offer other options for loan vehicles before someone gets hurt.Read more
