THIS WAS AS CLOSE TO A DISASTER AS I EVER WANT, THE PERFECT STORM IN DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING, WITH MY TWO SMALL GRANDCHILDREN IN THE BACKSEAT, AT NIGHT, IN A STORM THAT WARRANTED A SEVERE STORM WARNING. THE RAIN WAS COMING DOWN IN BUCKETS AS I MET ANOTHER CAR ON A CURVE. I HIT THE DIMMER SWITCH AND MY LIGHTS WENT OUT COMPLETELY. IN A PANIC, I HIT IT AGAIN AND THEY CAME BACK ON IN FULL BRIGHT MODE.
