I am writing to report serious safety concerns regarding my 2017 Infiniti QX80. The vehicle has exhibited two primary issues: 1. Unintended Braking: The vehicle has a tendency to suddenly and unexpectedly brake, particularly when driving over specific road surfaces, such as brick-paved intersections. This behavior is extremely dangerous as it can lead to accidents, especially in high-traffic area

I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Infiniti dealership multiple times to address these issues. While the dealership has attempted repairs, the problems have persisted. The frequency and severity of these issues pose a significant safety risk to myself and other drivers. My car has been at the auto care shop for over a month, as this is their first encounter with this problem. They have proposed several solutions, but they are not confident that any of them will completely resolve the issue. I believe this malfunction poses a risk to both myself and others on the road, and I am seeking assistance from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Prior to the onset of the clicking sounds, there were no warning signals, but I did notice an airbag warning light had appeared. I am concerned about the potential for the airbags to either deploy unexpectedly or fail to deploy in the event of an accident. This malfunction resulted in the destruction of my home’s foundation and caused bodily injury to both me and my passenger. This was a life-threatening event and could have resulted in severe harm or death to anyone nearby. I took the car into the dealership to diagnose the reason that I was getting a Seat Belt light and they said that the guide suggested to do a zero point reset on the seat. When they attempted this they said that it failed and now the system has an airbag light on. There is no more seat belt light on now for the passanger side, but there is a hard error code for the airbag system on the passenger
... side. The Dealership now says the cost to repair is over $8500 when the car is only valued at $10000. I saw that there was a voluntary recall on a 2016 edition and it said that if the zero point reset should fail then the OCS module needs to be replaced, but now they are saying tha the OCS module and Seat need to be replaced. This looks to be like an issue with the model itself. The reason this is a safety issue, is that now the airbags will not work on the passenger side. This is caused by the zero point procedure that Infiniti has instructed their techs to do. I believe they are causing issues and had this not been needed then I would not have had an airbag issue. If there was an airbag issue before this procedure then the symbol was not correct and was false. It was a safety issue since the Passenger side airbag will not deploy in this case.Read more

It is available for inspection. Fire hazard caused burn on passenger, smoke inhalation. Smoke/fire started while driving at 55mph, resulted in sudden breaking and pulling off the road. Hello. My vin number is not showing unresolved recalls, but I believe it is based on my experience. I was parking my car, which involved turning my steering wheel all the way to the right, and heard a crunching, clicking sound. The recall was issued due to a grounding issue with the steering components that could cause an electrostatic charge to build up. If the airbag clock spring broke, the driver's side airbag could deploy accidentally, which could result in a crash or injury to the driver. When I called Sewell Infiniti in Dallas, TX, I was told they had no recalls showing for my 2017 QX30, and to look at it would cost $240. I am currently not in a place financially to be able to afford this, but am concerned for my safety. I bought this car used from Carmax, but have since taken it to Sewell Infiniti for service and repairs. Please advise the best course of action as I am truly scared to drive my car due to this potentially deadly situation.Read more

Cylinder two the brass fitting came out of the transmission, no power when trying to accelerate, for whatever reason the front driver wheel rubs and messes up the tires, the pcm will throw a wrench symbol from time to time.
