Multiple electronic and sensor issues with the display screens and infotainment center. Time/time zone change from 12-hour format to military time off and on sometimes multiple times a day. Dash board routinely goes black and not displaying any information. The infotainment screen would not respond to menu button for the audio and climate control nor could you access it through the touchscreen menu. The radio would stop working randomly. I had to go to the dealership to get this corrected it would not restart on its own even if it was left overnight. The audio button also would not work. The car would not recognize the profile connected to the key fob routinely. After service, the car took over 8 minutes to lead the infotainment system. The blind spot warning would not function properly continuously. The car was taken into the dealership multiple times, it was assessed by "engineers" 3 times, and it had a total of 3 infotainment systems in this vehicle with 2 replacements since leasing the vehicle. These issues continue to remain and there seems to be nothing that Infiniti can or will do to fix these issues permanently.Read more

... t my turbo is blown. How? So, they replace the turbo and then say the rear coupler needs to be replaced. Repairs done and Infiniti said all fluids are good, everything is great. However, I might see slight smoke and a burning smell for 100-150 miles as theres a thin layer of oil on the turbo that will burn off. Oil change isnt due for 5k miles and I checked before my short road trip - all is good. Past the 100-150 miles and the car is SMOKING and SMELLS OF BURNING... Call infiniti, this is normal it will go away. Check fluids again, as no lights on the dashboard and oil is fine. Come back to get my car, check the ground as I always do and no oil/fluid and proceed home. 10 mins from my house the car WREAKS of burning smell, will not accelerate, no dashboard lights. So, I sit there and let it cool down - check again everything looks good. Try again, car will not go. Fluids look fine - oil, no spikes in temp, and no lights. Next day, no fluids under the car. Car accelerates but lunges me then stops going. Car smells bad, smoke.. go to check the fluids and NO OIL in the car out of no where. Infiniti tows it and it sounded like it was going to blow up. Also, a tink tink tink sound started out of no where. This is dangerous as the vehicle could had started on fire. I still dont know what is going on as Inf. has the car right now. GM and Chevrolet describes this as a known issue but insists my VIN is not affected. The issues continued to persist leading to frequent battery replacement that was ultimately due to contamination of electrical components. Fuel system parts were all assumed faulty only to find it was ultimately the fuel control module, another electronic component listed faulty but GM/ Chevrolet assumes my VIN is not affected. This car was purchased to be a family vehicle, but had proven to be an unreliable death trap. The first incident that caused concern was 2/14/2017 on the highway with speeds up to 70mph. Thankfully, that day was full of heavy traffic that did not allow drivers to reach high speeds. If I had been going that fast when the engine lost power I can only imagine what that would have meant for me and my family. I know I am not the only owner of a Chevrolet traverse with these concerning issues. I find it irresponsible for GM/Chevrolet/Buick to mass produce vehicles with these issues and fail to acknowledge the hazard they represent. Knowing they have produced a lemon that cost the sticker price, repair cost, and potentially human lives and failing to remedy the issue astounds me. They diagnosed the problem as a brake vacuum pump that locked up and broke the belt too leaving us with no brakes at all. Champion Chevrolet worked us in and replaced the vacuum pump and belt.And got us back on the road for our vacation. We had to pay for a tow truck $100. An overnight stay at a hotel $150. I’m concerned about the tires, rims, alignment and suspension being damaged by jumping over the concrete curbs. I’m requesting a free inspection at a local Chevrolet dealership to thoroughly inspect and repair any damaged parts and a realignment. I also am out of pocket $250 for the tow and hotel room. I feel I’m being fair to ask for reimbursement and repairs. The dealership didn’t charge me for the repairs of the vacuum pump and drive belt as it was covered by a special recall (N182202780). ... led me down the driveway by the open door. The vehicle continued down the driveway & crossed the street, hitting a fire hydrant in my neighbor's yard across the street. I never physically got into the vehicle to do the steps required to put the vehicle into reverse, i.e. putting my foot on the brake & depressing the transmission shift button. I contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle after the incident & explained what had happened. I spoke to Francisco, but he said there was nothing he could do unless I wanted to pay for diagnostics on the vehicle. I explained that the vehicle had clearly malfunctioned since I was not physically inside of the vehicle to put it into reverse. I asked him to document the incident, but he said he was unable to & suggested I contact Infiniti Consumer Affairs. I did that immediately after speaking with Francisco, & gave a detailed description of the incident. I was given a Case Number at that time. I called another Infiniti dealership to explain the situation to ask about diagnostics, & was informed that the car's computer would not give an error code for the car going into reverse. I called to speak to my dealership service advisor & was able to schedule a diagnostics appointment at no charge. I did an internet search & discovered it could be a linkage issue, which is a safety issue & the recommendation was for the vehicle to NOT be driven. I have since scheduled an inspection with Nissan Corp. but the rep was not receptive to my request for repairs. I supplied a video to the dealership, but Nissan said they did not have it.Read more

The Hydraulic Control Unit / Anti-Lock Brake System part No. 68085397AB taken off my vehicle has a date code of 8201. This is within the defective date range that was not supposed to be used in vehicle production. We bought the car new and it's never been in for any brake related work. The dealership says our VIN is not on the list of covered vehicles so we paid $1,578.41Read more

While driving on the freeway at 75 mph transfer case went into neutral. No power to wheels. I managed to coast off the freeway and then towed to dealership. I am writing to report serious safety concerns regarding my 2017 Infiniti QX80. The vehicle has exhibited two primary issues: 1. Unintended Braking: The vehicle has a tendency to suddenly and unexpectedly brake, particularly when driving over specific road surfaces, such as brick-paved intersections. This behavior is extremely dangerous as it can lead to accidents, especially in high-traffic area

Frequent Battery Drain and Failure: The vehicle's battery drains rapidly, requiring frequent replacement. Despite multiple visits to the dealership and attempts at repair, the issue persists. This problem significantly compromises the vehicle's reliability and can leave the driver stranded, particularly in emergency situations. I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Infiniti dealership multiple times to address these issues. While the dealership has attempted repairs, the problems have persisted. The frequency and severity of these issues pose a significant safety risk to myself and other drivers.
