... DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IT WOULD COST $2202.50 TO REPLACE THE ITEMS. HE STATED IT WAS NOT A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM BUT FROM WHAT THEY HAVE SEEN IN THE PAST WHEN IT HAD OCCURRED THE ONLY THING TO FIX THE PROBLEM WOULD BE TO REPLACE THE ITEMS MENTIONED ABOVE. THEY RESET THE AIRBAG LIGHT AS A 1ST STEP BUT STATED THAT IF IT CAME BACK I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE ITEMS BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IT COULD PREVENT THE AIRBAG FROM DEPLOYING IF NEEDED.
