... ffic, so we went to the far left lane and pulled on a narrow shoulder the left, with four lanes of traffic to our right. It was not a safe situation, and I felt in immediate danger of being hit by oncoming traffic. We tried shutting the vehicle off and powering it back up but the message was still there and the car would only proceed slowly. Feeling like we were in immediate danger, we drove it on the shoulder with hazards on to get it to the next exit so we could pull off. It would not let us get enough speed to safely exit the interstate. We had to cross 4 lanes of 70+mph traffic at a slow pace with the hazards on. Once off the highway, we pulled into the nearest parking lot and tried to find answers. It was Sunday so dealers were closed. After about a half hour the car re-started without the warning on the display. We drove it home on back roads rather than the interstate and took it to a Chrysler dealership the next day, July 7, where they couldn't identify anything wrong with it, and there were no active check engine codes. Reddit and message boards are full of similar situations for Chrysler Pacificas and advised reporting the issue here. I resumed driving it after the dealer and it happened again yesterday (July 14). This time I was close to my home so I drove the vehicle directly there. I'm not using it now and I'm trying to get it in to the dealer again. I checked it this morning before I left for work. I was driving the car with no issues on [XXX]- made two 30-minute trips with no issues the same day. During a 15-minute drive, the car was fine until I was at an intersection 12 minutes into the drive [XXX] and [XXX] ). I was stopped at the intersection for maybe a minute, and when the traffic light turned green, I released my brake and went to accelerate when I got the following display message
... : "Engine Stopped Steering Power Low." The engine turned off, and I couldn't get the car to budge in drive or reverse. When I tried pressing on the gas pedal, it wouldn't budge and felt very stiff. I'm thankful this happened at a smaller intersection on a Sunday evening because my car wouldn't start back up and was stuck in the dead center of this intersection. Cars going East and South all had to drive around me. This put my safety at risk because I had to hop out of my car and redirect people around it until a kind passerby pulled over to help push my car to the right-side turning lane. I was standing in the middle of an intersection on a road with a 35-40 mph speed limit. After pushing the car to the curb and calling a few towing places (maybe 20 minutes later), I tried starting the car again, and it started with no issues whatsoever. I drove it the rest of the way back (for 3 minutes) with no problems, and I made another three 20-25 minute drives on it today. Nothing sounds wrong with the car; it's running with no issues. I would take my car to the dealership for a diagnostic, but I can't afford to right now. I will put my battery on a tender and use a multimeter to check the voltage within the next few days. Regular maintenance has been kept, and the car has never had this happen prior. I've never received the "Engine Stopped Steering Power Low" message prior to this incident. They said they saw metal parts in the fuel and their estimate to fit the truck was $18,000! I had it towed to another automotive place, I just needed another opinion. Then I heard about 2 recalls Ford had this year, 1 in January and another just ramping up. The description of the problem sounds exactly like my issue however it didn't cover the 2017 models! Now that I know they are there, I can see a very subtle shade difference where they are. 2nd Item: The forward collision warning occasionally brakes, showing a vehicle ahead when there is no vehicle ahead, and conversely, when set to speed control assist, it sometimes does not see a vehicle ahead or show one on the screen when there is one, sometimes speeding up to within a dangerous closeness of the vehicle ahead. I took it to a repair shop and they were getting CVT codes for the transmission. I looked online a found that many other people had these same issues as well as a Class Action Lawsuit that was settled a few years ago for 278 million for these problems

I did see that there have been reports of this previously and class-action lawsuits for this issue. The Kia dealership guy said they had a customer that this had also happened to and when we went to get a rental car Enterprise told us that they also had a customer with a Kia in the last two weeks that had the same thing happen to them. I don't feel safe in this car. It's brand new, and should perform as such. When it misfires, I can barely drive past 30mph. It shakes violently, and I don't know whether it is safe to be driving it. ... rked with Plaza Infiniti in Creve Coeur, who has looked at the vehicle a few times and identified that there is no part replacement other than OEM that can fix this issue. However, the part has been discontinued. Today, I reached out to Infiniti directly, and with a sad heart, they refuse to even listen to me. Now, I have a vehicle that has a safety issue and no way to fix it. The part number 87300–1NL6A, is the lower seat assembly for the passenger side of my 2012 Infiniti G 37XS. This part also has the occupant sensor which is directly affecting the airbag. The sensor is not replaceable separately of the lower seat assembly. The Audi MMI system which is there in car infotainment and system management main frame. Has developed a habit of totally going blank, causing loss of phone connectivity, navigation continuity, as well as use of all of the manufacturer supplied safety systems. ... ppen very sporadically, as much as 10x on a 7 mile drive and then not at all on the next drive. In an age where holding your phone while operating is illegal it is a very disturbing problem. The Audi fix is a software upgrade, at owners expense, ($458.00)that so far has eaten up 9 hours of my time and is still not done. I have had to upgrade systems like this in other vehicles I own and I am able to accomplish this on my own garage. How long before someone hurts someone critically while they are trying to get their system to reconnect and are not able to pay attention to their surroundings. I feel a system such as this should be better warranted when you consider the amount of components it controls.Read more

The passenger side front brake overheated while driving at highway speed. We stopped the truck after smelling the burning odor. The rotor was blue and radiating heat. The driver's side appears normal. Inspection revealed the lower caliper piston was stuck. The piston boot was removed and significant corrosion was found. Truck has 60,000 miles. We are the original owners.
