The vehicle experienced hesitation, delayed acceleration, and multiple warning lights while driving. The loss of power was severe enough that the driver became afraid to make left turns across traffic because the vehicle would not accelerate quickly or consistently when needed. This created a significant safety risk, as the driver could not reliably judge whether the vehicle would clear an interse
... ction before oncoming traffic. A diagnostic trouble code related to the turbocharger control system was retrieved during the first visit to the dealership. The vehicle was brought in for a recall inspection involving potential engine bearing wear and oil pressure issues, but the recall inspection was not performed on the first visit and was rescheduled. On the way to the recall appointment, additional warning lights illuminated and the vehicle again lost power. The dealership kept the vehicle and stated that further diagnostics were needed. Over several days, the dealership reported that diagnostics were being performed, but no diagnostic results, measurements, technician notes, or recall determination were provided. The manufacturer later confirmed that they had not received any diagnostic information from the dealership and could not proceed with the recall case. The dealership verbally stated that the turbocharger issue was “not related to the recall,” but no documentation was provided to support this. Instead, the dealership sent a cost‑sharing repair proposal without identifying the failed component, the cause of the failure, or whether the failure was related to the recall. Warning lamps and reduced performance first appeared on the initial date of symptoms and continued through the recall appointment. The recall process remains incomplete because the dealership has not provided the required diagnostic documentation.Read more

This engine uses a metal timing chain inside the engine. Infinit chose to use plastic guides and tensors to keep the chain in place and not wear stretch. This choice of PLASTIC results in the eventual failure of the components that are needed to keep the chain in place. First signs of impending failure is a rattle inside the engine. Eventual the chain will break loose and destroy the engine.
... The parts themselves can be purchased at any auto parts store for under $50.00, however labor is in the thousands or engine complete failure. OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR on 2016 INFINITI Q50t - Took vehicle in for oil and filter change 2 days ago. I drove the car about 40 miles, without incident. Went back to same place for state inspection yesterday. I drove about 2 miles from the inspection place and park in shopping lot. Went in business to shop for about 30 minutes. Returned to vehicle and drove about 100 yards through the parking lot. The
... car appeared to lose power and made a jerking movement as if it didn't want to go. I drove out onto a very busy street and we were almost rear ended by other traffic. I pulled up in another parking lot to assess the problem. I could not determine what was causing the car not to pick up speed. I drove to an AutoZone: battery checked out at 90 percent good; no electrical problems noted either. I drove off about 1 block from AutoZone: the CEL came on for the first time. I went back to the AutoZone to get them to check it out. The diagnosis code is P0720: vehicle speed sensor. I went back to the inspection shop the next day and I was told the same code. I took the vehicle to the dealership and I was told that I need to replace the whole transmission. I purchased the vehicle about 8-1/2 years ago; garage kept; only put 60k miles on car since purchase. Car has approx. 108k miles now. This is not only a problem with 2014 -2015. When I purchased the car in 2018, I feel like the dealership should have informed me that this was a problem with Q50s. This is not just an issue with previous years; this is a problem with 2016 as well. This vehicle is very clean/outstanding: no accidents, no body damage, immaculate leather seats, no repairs in 8-1/2 years and all of a sudden this fault code comes up with no previous indication that the transmission was not working properly. There needs to be a RECALL for this vehicle due to this common issue.Read more

own a 2019 Infiniti Q50 3.0t Sport with approximately 80,000 miles. The issue continued even after replacing spark plugs and ignition components. The dealership/mechanic reported possible internal engine damage and metal shavings in the oil, indicat
... ing potential failure of internal engine components. The vehicle has been regularly maintained with oil changes completed on schedule. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many Infiniti and Nissan vehicles equipped with the VR30 3.0 twin-turbo engine. Numerous owners online report similar symptoms including engine knocking, turbo failure, metal contamination, loss of power, and premature engine failure at relatively low mileage. The issue creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle can lose power, hesitate during acceleration, or potentially fail while driving in traffic or on highways. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate repeated engine failures involving the VR30 engine platform used in Infiniti Q50/Q60 and related vehicles.”Read more

The vehicle has experienced ongoing electrical and safety-system related malfunctions shortly after being purchased as an INFINITI Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in April 2025. In June 2025, I received notification through the INFINITI app regarding a major
... engine recall involving engine bearing failure concerns affecting my vehicle. I brought the vehicle to Harte INFINITI for inspection regarding the recall and my electrical concerns. During that visit, dealership personnel acknowledged there were multiple vehicles experiencing similar engine bearing issues related to the recall. Despite my concerns, I was told the vehicle was “safe to drive” because no diagnostic codes were present at that time. The problems continued to worsen over time. On February 26, 2026, during a routine oil change shortly after expiration of the basic warranty, I was presented with approximately $2,600 in recommended repairs despite previously being told there were no issues with the vehicle. Most recently, the vehicle developed Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) malfunction warnings and Lane Assist malfunction warnings involving critical driver assistance and collision-avoidance systems. These warnings raised serious concerns regarding the safe operation of the vehicle because they involve systems designed to help prevent collisions and maintain vehicle control. I was concerned that these systems could fail unexpectedly while driving, potentially increasing the risk of an accident or injury to myself, passengers, or others on the roadway. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for inspection, where I was presented with an additional repair estimate exceeding $4,600 along with diagnostic charges. Despite the active safety-system malfunction warnings, I was again advised that the vehicle was safe to drive.Read more

On April 17, 2026, my 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe experienced a sudden and complete electrical failure while operating on a public roadway in Texas. The vehicle lost propulsion and became completely disabled in active traffic during dusk/nighttime conditions. All electrical systems failed simultaneously, including lighting and hazard lights. The vehicle could not be restarted, moved, or recharged r
... oadside and was effectively “bricked.” This created a serious safety hazard because the vehicle was stranded in traffic with no hazard lights or electrical warning systems available to alert surrounding vehicles. Police officers responded to protect the vehicle and occupants due to the dangerous roadway location. Due to the low ride height/body configuration of the vehicle, a specialized tow truck was required, causing the disabled vehicle to remain exposed in traffic for more than five hours. The vehicle was finally removed around 11:00 PM and transported to a Mercedes-Benz service center. Mercedes-Benz service documentation confirmed: Internal failure involving the 12V battery system Consequential overload/failure of the 48V system Multiple diagnostic trouble codes Vehicle shutdown conditions The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. The condition was confirmed and inspected by Mercedes-Benz technicians and police officers at the scene. Prior to the total failure, dashboard warning messages and malfunction alerts had appeared. After repairs including replacement of the 12V and 48V systems, the vehicle again displayed warning messages on May 7, 2026: “Cooling System Malfunction – Reduced Drive Power – Service Required.” Because this warning resembled the precursor symptoms before the original total shutdown event, the vehicle was immediately returned to the same Mercedes-Benz service center to prevent another dangerous roadway failure.Read more

On 7/25 I responded to the Recall & drove my 2021 Ford Eco-Sport vehicle into dealership due to1st Recall regarding the "Front Half Shaft" where there is obvious contact with transmission. Upon picking my vehicle up from the Gerald Jones Auto Group Dealership April 2026 and heading out of town I noticed that the vehicle was driving a lot rougher than I'd expected especially after an entire month of having the vehicle to repair completely, of course, I canceled my trip and immediately called the dealership and explained my concerns regarding the feel of the roughness of the vehicle & that I was not comfortable because I hadn't experienced this before. I was asked to bring it back. After waiting for the recheck I was informed that there was a hose disconnected in the rear afterwards I was advised to call the dealership with any other problems. I started home noticed that there was still a slight skipping or hesitation around the 15-50mp range I called & got voice mail & I left a detailed message about problems. I had to run an errand, on the way home as I moved onto the busy interstate the vehicle really started skipping & hesitating much worse than before & a noisy fan sound coming from the mid right side dash area that hadn't been there! I called the dealership back as instructed & left another message. I waited an entire day no one returned my call. I called again on the next day was told to bring the car in again a 2rd time. The 3rd time car was checked there I was informed it was a transmission issue not part of Recall the cost of repair would be totally my responsibility according to Manager, which is not fair!Read more

Hyundai has refused to correct recall 292 and 283. I do not feel safe driving my children in the third row with the open recall. I have requested a loaner while the recalls are fixed. Since recall 292 has no timeline on repair, I feel Hyundai should issue a buy back.

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding the driver assistance system (ProPILOT Assist) in my 2024 Infiniti QX80. The behavior of this system creates a potentially dangerous driving condition. When ProPILOT Assist is engaged, the vehicle consistently delays braking until the last possible moment, then applies sudden and aggressive braking rather than smooth deceleration. This creates a high r
... isk of rear-end collisions, especially in moderate to heavy traffic where gradual speed adjustments are expected. In addition, the lane-keeping function appears unstable. The vehicle tends to drift or “hug” one side of the lane instead of maintaining a centered position. At highway speeds, the system makes abrupt and overly aggressive steering corrections, even when the vehicle is already within lane boundaries and at a safe following distance. These sudden inputs feel unnatural and reduce driver confidence, requiring constant manual correction. Overall, the system behavior is unpredictable and does not align with reasonable expectations for a driver assistance feature. Instead of enhancing safety, it introduces unnecessary risk by combining delayed braking with aggressive steering inputs. This issue occurs under normal driving conditions on clearly marked roads and does not appear to be an isolated event. Given the size and weight of the QX80, these system responses could lead to serious accidents if not addressed. I request that this issue be investigated, as it presents a significant safety concern for drivers and others on the road.Read more
