I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape from Metropolitan Ford dealership in Eden Prairie, MN on 5/15/2025. The very next day the engine light came on. I called them, made an appointment and brought it in thinking that it was a sensor. They checked it out and tried to charge me $1000 for the fix. Fast forward to 12/12/2025 I was driving to work and as soon as I entered the interstate the engine light came on as well as the temperature gage going through the roof. I found that I couldn't accelerate and slowly drove the car off the next exit. I was able to get it to my mechanic right there, where he said I had a slow leak in the coolant and gave me a rough estimate of $1000 possible fix but he couldn't do it then. He advised me to keep the coolant filled and took it out of the "limp" mode so I could drive it. A week later I went out to my car and it was in the "limp" mode again, I had it towed to the nearest service station where they came back with the issue. A coolant intrusion. The engine was no longer functional. I went back to the dealer and they told me it was my problem to deal with and that they had no responsibility to do anything. That's when I found out about the recall that they knew about and ignored and sold me a car that they knew was problematic. I'm hoping to join this class action lawsuit because I'm out $12,000 the largest amount that I ever paid for a car and I don't have a working car. I still owe $5000 on this one. I thought going to a Ford dealership and spending the kind of money I spent would protect me from this exact thing. I'm devastated and really don't know what to do.Read more

In September 2023, at approximately 78,000 miles, this vehicle exhibited 'Drivetrain Malfunctions' inc
... luding Fault Code 0x222626 (EME: internal fault - active short circuit requested) and 0x22271C (Overvoltage in intermediate circuit). The BMW dealer (Fields BMW) failed to diagnose the root cause and instructed me to 'keep driving'. Since the release of Recall 24V-608, it is clear these 2023 faults were early indicators of the coolant pump short-circuiting. This persistent electrical instability has now resulted in a permanent failure of Cell Supervision Circuit #3, causing the high-voltage contactors to open and leaving the vehicle disabled. The dealer is currently attempting to charge for diagnostics and battery removal. I am asserting that the lack of a timely remedy for the coolant pump (which was only recently shielded per the recall) caused a power surge that 'fried' the internal battery circuitry. This is a safety issue as the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of propulsion while in motion. I request that NHTSA investigate BMW’s refusal to cover battery failures caused by the electrical interference of the recalled coolant pump."Read more

The ABS warning light, Traction Control warning light, and Emergency Brake light are all lite up on the dashboard of my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport. ABS is not working on my Jeep. Mechanic shop checked for codes and said the ABS control module is bad and needs to be replaced. The shop qouted me $1,500.00 for parts and labor and that was if they could find a new ABS control module somewhe
... re. If part isn't replaced, I'm told that brakes could fail or Jeep could seize up after being driven so many miles. Mechanic shop said ABS control module for Jeeps is on National backorder and they are hard to find, can find used ones at salvage yards but they are priced three and four times what they normally cost brand new and they may or may not be able to flash the module to match my VIN on a used one. In other words, can't get a new one because they are not being produced any longer, and there's no guarantee that a used one will work. Online forums have confirmed all of this information also, as there are thousands of people who are having this same issue over the past year or so. I have spoken with several online dealers who sell OEM Mopar parts and they have confirmed that this part isn't even being produced any longer and there is no replacement part for it. So all this to say, my Jeep is parked, undrivable because of a safety issue due to this part (ABS control module) not being produced by anyone any longer.Read more

am reporting a problem with the Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking system. The vehicle has repeatedly given collision warnings and applied braking when there was no vehicle, person, or obstacle in front of me. ... has occurred about ten times while I was driving. Four of these incidents happened recently with a passenger in the vehicle, which confirmed the issue was not driver error. In several instances, the system gave rapid warning beeps and then applied braking even though the road ahead was clear. One time this occurred at highway speed with no traffic in front of me. Another time it occurred on a lightly traveled local road with no visible hazard. The braking was sudden and unexpected. On one occasion, a leaf may have passed in front of the sensor, but the majority of incidents occurred with no visible trigger. There were no warning lights or messages before the events, only the collision alert immediately followed by braking. This behavior creates a safety risk because the vehicle can brake unexpectedly without an actual obstruction, which could lead to a rear end collision or loss of control. In fact on the rear door is sensor and a camera. In fact I can park the Tucson out of the vehicle. The sensors will ensure that it will not collide with anything. Same is true in a very tight parking spot. Anyway the other 4 passenger doors have several warning signals. From low ibeeping to very loud annoying audio sounds that you cannot ignore. I’ve contacted Hyundai Motor America and they’ve denied my complaint. They claim that the extent of the “warning is a red light on the dash”. My local dealership kept my Tucson for 11 days not knowing what to do and how to resolve this problem. I’ve come to reply on the audio warning system, and as a Senior Citizen, not to look at the dash to prevent collisions. This is very serious ,especially, if that door is not locked while I’m driving, any thing can push open the door, resulting in injury or death to people in the vehicle or on the road. This was a very stressful and unsafe situation. I had to pull over onto the shoulder with a line of cars behind me. My car was towed to the dealership. The dealership said they could not find anything wrong with it. However, I experienced a clear and serious problem. Not only did I miss work, but I also had to pay $238.95 for the towing service. After researching, I found there was a recall issued on December 18, 2023, for a fuel pump failure that can cause the engine to stall while driving, which increases the risk of a crash. However, this recall did not include the 2022 model year, which is the year of my vehicle. The recall describes exactly what happened to me. Honda should include the 2022 CR-V Hybrid in the recall and therefore; replace the fuel pump module at no cost to help ensure everyone’s safety.Read more

On at least 3 of these occasions, i barely avoided being rear-ended by the vehicle following me. The final issue that I have noticed is a problem with the odometer. It has appeared to work normally most of the time, but I have noticed times where I didn't think the odometer accurately reflected the distance I had traveled. I was able to synch the odometer with the trip odometer on a local road that I was quite familiar with. The trip odometer registered 1.8 miles while the odometer only registered 1 mile traveled. All of these issues happened multiple times and are intermittent. I have had the vehicle to Hyundai dealers on 5 occasions, and they claim to have not been able to duplicate any of the problems that I have been consistently logging in to a "diary" that represents a list of when I have noticed these issues. I have been in constant contact with Hyundai, but they promised to send out a factory rep, then reneged, instead relying on the local service techs. Said techs had the vehicle for nearly 2 weeks, but only drove it for 16 miles (until I called AFTER a determination was made and they hurriedly drove it an additional 22 miles to give the appearance of a more complete exam), using less than a quarter tank of gas. To me, this wasn't a thorough exam and appeared to be a cover-up to avoid having to buy back the vehicle. Following the tow, all four tires developed visible bulges consistent with being dragged while immobilized, creating a significant risk of tire blowout at highway speeds. Steering and alignment became unstable, with grinding noises and loss of predictable control. The hybrid underbody shielding was also damaged, leaving components exposed. These conditions have persisted despite repeated notice to the seller and service administrator. A repair facility has confirmed the vehicle is not safe for long-distance or highway travel. The vehicle must regularly be driven at interstate speeds, and continued operation poses a serious risk of crash or injury. 2020 SantaFe Limited AWD with ~81200 miles. This is the 3rd or 4th time the P07410 code pops up with the Engine Check light. Hyundai said they found no issues and cleared the code, again. There was once when the code came up and it cleared itself after 50 miles. Not sure exactly what the cause is and Hyundai is saying "there is nothing wrong". Most recent occurrence Sept.4.2025.

on 8/1/25 service steering assist light came on, vehicle was driven to the auto repair shop with no hard codes to diagnose.
