My vehicle had check engine lights on throughout the last couple of years. Every time I bought it to the dealer, they ignored it and said the light went off. The machine doesn't pick up anything. I’m unable to address recall NHTSA 25V572, Ford program 25S89, a rear camera issue affecting my 2015 Lincoln MKC. The dealership made two attempts ordering parts on backorder to address the recall at my service appointment today. After receiving parts last week, Ford told dealers they do not recommend installing these parts to address the recall—the dealer also said they do not know the proced
... ure or replacement parts Ford will recommend to address the rear view camera recall on a later date. They also believe Ford will now replace the entire camera vs replace components. I have no problem with the approach to replace the camera if that’s the case. And I also realize this is not the dealership’s fault; however, there is a huge disconnect and communication gap from Ford quality that must be addressed. It’s been challenging to order parts for this recall and wait months, only to discover Ford no longer knows how to address a fix my vehicle needs. I appreciate if NHTSA could investigate ongoing issues and delay for this recall. I’m happy to provide more details if necessary. Thank you!Read more

There has been two recalls on my motorcycle. My bike passed the first inspection, i took my bike in two weeks ago for the 2nd inspection, per my Kawaskai dealer my bike did not pass. My dealer said that the reworded statment makes n

The complete failure of exterior lighting and interior displays resulted in an immediate loss of forward visibility and access to critical driving information. Duration: The blackout lasted approximately two seconds before the system appeared to reboot. Recurrence: Approximately ten seconds after the first incident, the same total blackout occurred again under identical conditions. Vehicle Status: The engine remained running throughout the incidents; however, the simultaneous loss of lighting and instrumentation created an extremely high-risk driving situation. This incident constitutes a critical safety failure. The vehicle had experienced repeated electrical system failures prior to this incident, and was previously presented to the dealer on 8/7/2025 for diagnosis and repair. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the malfunction and failed to take appropriate corrective action to address these issues: 07/13/2025: The Auto Stop function became inactive, and the vehicle failed to accelerate properly after stopping at traffic lights, creating a hazardous driving condition. 07/14/2025: The phone failed to connect to the vehicle’s infotainment system. 07/17/2025: While reversing in a parking lot, the Parking Collision Warning system failed to detect a moving vehicle behind the car. No audible or visual warning was issued, rendering the safety feature ineffective in preventing a potential collision.Read more

The GDI v6 motor that’s in it shudders and rattles when at idle. There’s metallic shavings and gas smell on the dipstick. It’s always low on oil and smokes a little at idle aswell. I’ve heard of the same engine giving problems and having an open recall for similar issues pertaining to a bearing and or rings being damaged or broken allowing for the oil to be dripping or being burnt. The vehicle is a family vehicle and gets driven daily by my wife to and from the kids school and the grocery store it’s not driven hard or for very long periods of time. I would like to know if there’s anything that could be done about this issue. I’ve looked to see if the recall was open for this model palisade but it only shows for the Santife models even though it’s the same engine. The shop and dealers always tell me it’s nothing and just keep up with oil changes but that’s near impossible when it runs out of oil before the next oil change is due.Read more

At approximately 75,000 miles, my 2020 Honda CR-V began experiencing serious engine performance issues, including jerking, hesitation, and rough operation while driving. The check engine warning light began flashing, indicating an active engine misfire. During these events, the vehicle’s acceleration and engine response became unpredictable. Only traveling at 5 mph. The ignition coils and spa
... rk plugs were replaced, and then replaced again, by an independent mechanic. After the most recent repair, the vehicle was test driven and the issue persisted. A diagnostic scan shows the engine is running rich, which mechanics stated points to a fuel injector malfunction. Based on diagnostic results, repeated test drives, and elimination of ignition components as the cause, the fuel injector system is the component believed to have failed. This malfunction poses a safety risk because a misfiring engine can cause sudden loss of power, hesitation during acceleration, and unpredictable vehicle behavior, especially during merging, passing, or driving in traffic. The issue has been reproduced and reviewed by multiple mechanics, who reached the same conclusion regarding a fuel injector related failure. Prior to and during the failure, the vehicle exhibited jerking, hesitation, rough operation, and a flashing check engine light. These symptoms have continued despite repairs. The fuel injector failure is the subject of an active recall affecting this make, model, and year, however my VIN is not included in the recall. Despite this exclusion, my vehicle is exhibiting the same symptoms, misfire behavior, and diagnostic indicators addressed by the recall. The exact reason my VIN is excluded from the recall is unknown, but the evidence indicates a fuel injector related defect affecting safe operation of the vehicle.Read more

On December 30, 2025, I was driving the Tahoe at a highway speed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I experienced two engine shut-offs. I was able to get the Tahoe to the Chevrolet dealer in Midwest City, OK. Advisor Tim took care of the vehicle and said that they "couldn't replicate the problem." He did mention he had to add engine oil because it was a quart low. We noted that we are currently conductin

The following days, the Tahoe performed well without any issues. On January 3, 2026, we left Spencer, OK, and headed back home to Illinois. Without any warning, while driving at highway speed, the engine shut off completely and would not restart. The failure occurred at approximately 9:00 pm on a pitch-black expressway about 40 miles from Rolla, Missouri. I was traveling with my wife and two children. We were stranded on the highway shoulder. A state trooper was dispatched for safety. The Tahoe required a tow over an hour later, and we had to take a Lyft to a hotel. Logistics at that time in that location were complicated. Our family was terrified for our safety. Today is Sunday, and the nearest dealer is closed. We will have it dropped off tomorrow, January 5th, and go from there. We do not know how we are going to get back to Illinois. We have work and my son has school. The vehicle is currently disabled and under manufacturer warranty. This is the date I first took the vehicle to a dealership. The Transmission has performed poorly and the wiper would not work at all and it was not a fuse problem. Transmission finally failed and had to be replaced (6/25) but car is in a dealership for the 3rd time for windshield wipers. They do not work so car is dangerous. You leave home with no rain and then there is rain and wipers sometimes w
... orked, most of the times they did not. On 6/25 they would not address the issue as wipers worked in High speed (but only on high speed). 3 months later they did not work at all. It did not rain in LA so not concerned, but now it is. This is a serious system design flaw. The replaced complete wiper blade system, but The relays on the bottom of the fuse box control the wiper blades. I have the Z71 off-road package as I drive off-road and in snow conditions. This car was designed poorly as this is a 4x4 vehicle and moister should not effect the electrical system nor a safety device like the windshield wipers. This is a potential recall issue to properly fix the problem. Sadly the majority of vehicle owns just drive on the highway, but others have reported windshield wiper failures.Read more

While driving, most often at dawn/dusk and commonly with cruise control engaged, the vehicle will falsely detect a vehicle ahead when none is present. It then triggers sudden Automatic Emergency Braking along with a crash/forward-collision indicator, causing an abrupt speed drop of 15–20 mph. This is a major safety concern for my family and me while commuting in our family vehicle. If a vehicle
... behind us follows too closely and does not brake as rapidly as this faulty feature activates, it could cause a severe rear-end collision, or the driver may swerve into the other lane and collide with other vehicles to avoid hitting my vehicle, which has suddenly decreased speed. Other safety concerns related to this faulty braking feature include passenger whiplash and strains when the vehicle suddenly decelerates, instability on wet/snowy/icy roads, and the loss of an important safety feature. This vehicle safety feature cannot be used due to faulty braking.Read more

I had driven a few miles to a store and was inside for about 10 minutes. I went out to the parking lot and started the car by pressing the button. Within the first couple of seconds after starting, there was a loud pop sound, followed by alerts on the dashboard. Checking the onboard diagnostics, I saw an alert that the charging system had a fault. Using the MyHyundai app, I saw a diagnostic code o
... f P1A9096. I was able to drive home (albeit limited to about 40 MPH on a road with a 50 MPH speed limit and traffic that drives faster than that) and park. Testing it later that night, I was able to start it, but soon after, there was a loud beeping sound and bright red alert on the dash warning me that I should "Stop vehicle and check power supply." The next morning, when trying to get it on the flatbed tow truck, the vehicle started, but when I tried to adjust the seat for the tow truck driver, it went entirely dead. The driver jumpstarted it, but it was difficult to get the car into gear to move it on the flatbed. Around this time, I noticed that the phone was showing two new diagnostic entries, both with code P056216. We eventually got it into gear and onto the truck, and then delivered to the dealer, where it is currently awaiting diagnostics. There was no obvious safety issue while I was driving, though I worry now that if I had tried to use the 12V system while I was driving, then the entire system might have failed while in motion.Read more

Fuel smell in the engine compartment and visible leaking fuel on the lower hoses per NHTSA Campaign Number 18V837000. I previously complained about this in April 2025 (ID 11669847). Dealer inspected in April 2025 and replaced the lower hose, but I still would smell fuel. After a lot of my own troubleshooting over the last six months, I have determined that when the car has sat un-used for over 24
... hours, the rubber fuel lines shrink just enough that the next time the fuel system is primed (pre-start routine when you unlock the car, or start the car), a small amount of fuel leaks out at the connection. If the car sits for weeks and then you start it up, fuel will visibly leak out of the rubber connection (I have video). Once the rubber line swells up again due to the fuel in the line, it will slow the leak. So, if you use the car daily, you will be less likely to notice a leak. If you use the car infrequently, you will be more likely to have a leak.Read more

My vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of OnStar and telematics functionality during or immediately following a routing/software update. I had taken my vehicle in for my engine recall and noted another software update was required and specifically was told by multiple service members over the phone that the onstar services/telematics module was impacted and this update should resolve
... it. After some initial research it appears this is related to N212331730, which impacts OnStar and telematics services. I brought the vehicle to an authorized GMC dealer for the recall. After inspection, the dealer informed me that the telematics control module has failed and must be replaced. This failure resulted in the loss of all OnStar safety-related services, including emergency response and vehicle communication features. The failure appears directly related to the recall condition or software update process, yet I am being told the module replacement is not covered. This creates a safety concern because emergency communication systems required for crash response and roadside assistance are nonfunctional. I am concerned that the recall remedy may be causing or accelerating telematics module failures and that affected vehicles may be left without critical safety systems unless owners pay out of pocket.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally document and complain about the ongoing and unresolved issues with my vehicle, which has been subjected to repeated repair attempts without a successful or lasting resolution. What began as a single repair concern has escalated into an extended, exhausting process involving multiple failed repairs, continued warning indicators, and a complete lack
... of confidence in the vehicle’s safety and reliability. Since owning this vehicle, it has been brought in for service numerous times due to recurring mechanical issues. The most recent and most serious issue began as a rear differential leak. That initial diagnosis led to a rear end replacement, which then spiraled into additional repairs and complications. As of now, the vehicle has undergone eight separate repair attempts related to this issue. After the most recent repair, I was explicitly informed by the dealership that the vehicle was fully repaired and ready for pickup. However, upon arriving and taking possession of the vehicle, I immediately observed active warning lights on the dashboard, including: •“Service Now” •“Service Rear Differential” This occurred at the time of pickup, indicating that the vehicle was either not properly repaired, not properly inspected, or knowingly released in an unresolved and potentially unsafe condition. I was forced to return the vehicle immediately, continuing a cycle that has become unacceptable. This pattern demonstrates a serious breakdown in diagnostic accuracy, repair quality, and accountability. Eight repair attempts without resolution is excessive by any reasonable standard and has resulted in: •Significant inconvenience and loss of time •Ongoing uncertainty about the vehicle’s safety and mechanical integrity •Loss of trust in both the dealership’s service department and the product itself Adding to this frustration, I was directly told by the dealership owner that my only option at this point was to sue.Read more

The issue is the bearing in my CVT transmission. I've been advised by three different shops/dealerships that this is the problem while being quoted $10k plus to replace the transmission. Through research, this is a known issue with the 2018-2022 Toyota CHRs. Thus making this vehicle heavily UNSAFE to drive and Toyota is not taking any accountability with this problem. There have been no warning li
... ghts of this issue. Only an intense grinding noise in the front end of the vehicle and "jumping/hopping" at times and brief moments where the vehicle will not move. It seems to only occur when the warranty is expired but something needs to be done about this as I know I am not the only person experiencing this problem. This not only is a severe safety issue but also should never have happened if Toyota took responsibility for putting faulty CVT transmissions in this vehicle. They need to cover the costs and make this right!!Read more

Vehicle: 2018 Honda Odyssey Component: Suspension – Rear Shock Absorbers Mileage at Failure: ~50,000 miles I am submitting this complaint to report a premature and potentially unsafe failure of the rear shock absorbers on my 2018 Honda Odyssey, as well as what appears to be a systemic defect affecting 2018–2024 Honda Odyssey vehicles. At approximately 50,000 miles, the rear shocks on my vehic
... le failed suddenly. Inspection revealed that the upper portion of the shock absorber housing had rusted completely through the metal, causing the internal hydraulic fluid to leak out and rendering the shock absorber inoperable. This is not surface corrosion—the metal housing itself failed structurally. The affected component is the factory-installed rear shock absorber, Honda part number 52610-THR-A02. Based on owner reports and service findings, this failure appears to be common across 2018–2024 Honda Odyssey models, typically occurring between 50,000 and 80,000 miles, often shortly after the factory warranty expires. Rear shock absorbers are sealed, safety-critical suspension components. They are not expected to rust through the metal housing or leak fluid within 6–7 years of normal use. This type of failure suggests a materials, coating, or design defect, rather than normal wear and tear. Failure of rear shocks can negatively impact vehicle stability, ride control, braking performance, and passenger safety, particularly in emergency maneuvers or adverse road conditions. Given that the Honda Odyssey is marketed as a family vehicle, this raises significant safety concerns. Due to the repeated nature of this failure across multiple model years, I believe this issue warrants investigation by NHTSA for a potential defect trend and consideration of corrective action.Read more
