The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a certified mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V160000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. My 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has experienced two ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) failures, both completely immobilizing the vehicle. •First failure: November 2024 •Second failure: December 31, 2025 (confirmed by dealer 1/13/26) •Downtime: Over 45 days total •All recall work and maintenance were performed at the same Hyundai dealer, under active warranty, but the recall did not prevent t

Examples of this are reported online in a variety of forums. Widespread Issue: Thousands of owners report similar ICCU failures, often after recall repairs, on forums and social media. There is also ongoing Canadian litigation addressing the same defect. Vehicle: 2021 Infiniti QX50 VIN: [XXX] Mileage at second failure: 154,282 miles I am reporting a repeat engine failure involving bearing material consistent with a known Infiniti VC-Turbo engine defect. The original engine in my 2021 Infiniti QX50 failed and was replaced with a brand-new long block in May 2024 at approximately 85,700 miles. I paid for this engine replacement out of pocket becau
... se the recall had not yet been issued. After the engine replacement, the vehicle was regularly maintained with full synthetic oil at reasonable intervals. There was no sludge present in oil, upon inspection. After receiving notice of Infiniti recall R25B2, I contacted the authorized Infiniti dealer (Ed Hicks Infiniti) to request an inspection and was advised to wait because the recall was temporarily on hold. As a precaution, I had another dealership inspect the oil and oil pan on August 18, 2025, and no debris or abnormalities were found at that time. On [XXX], the vehicle experienced engine failure symptoms and was towed to Ed Hicks Infiniti. The dealer inspected the engine and confirmed bearing material present in the oil pan with no sludge. This is the same failure mode described in the recall. Infiniti denied recall coverage and goodwill assistance solely due to total vehicle mileage, despite the fact that: • The failed engine was a replacement engine installed before the recall • The failure occurred well before a reasonable engine lifespan • The failure mode matches the recall defect • There was no evidence of neglect or sludge I am reporting this to document a repeat engine failure related to a known defect and to request regulatory review, as consumers who paid for engine replacements prior to the recall appear to be excluded despite experiencing the same safety-related failure. The A/C condenser on my Honda failed and leaked out all of the refrigerant, which subsequently caused the A/C compressor and related components to fail. This issue is well‑documented, and Honda has issued an extended warranty specifically for the condenser due to its known defect. My vehicle was inspected by an authorized Honda dealership, and they confirmed that the condenser failed and that th
... e resulting loss of refrigerant caused the compressor to generate metal shavings. These metal particles can circulate through the HVAC system, potentially entering the cabin and posing a health risk to the driver and passengers. Despite the clear causal relationship and the dealership’s findings, Honda is refusing to replace the failed compressor and associated components, even though the failure originated from a part they acknowledge as defective and have extended warranty coverage for. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the failure. The A/C system stopped functioning without any advance indication, leaving me without proper ventilation and climate control. This defect raises both mechanical reliability concerns and potential health and safety risks due to metal contamination within the HVAC system. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue further, as Honda’s refusal to cover the full scope of damage caused by their known defective condenser leaves consumers exposed to unnecessary safety hazards and significant repair costs.Read more

I have a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3ltr V8. The vehicle has 44,500 miles and has zero accident history. On 01/12/2026, the oil cooler line broke while driving, leaving 8 qts of oil covering the underside of the vehicle (exhaust, suspension and tires) creating a fire hazard along with possible loss of control with the rear tires coated in oil. Additionally, the vehicle is undrivable

There is a Chevrolet Customer service program N212326940 for only certain VIN for this vehicle for this specific problem, however it doesn't cover my vehicle. In reviewing different web forums, this is a commonly known failure point with some defect to the hose clamp. GM has not extended a recall and has stopped covering this known failure. I'm not sure if it's a vendor/supplier failure with the oil line or an installation problem. A full recall and/or 10yr/100k warranty coverage should be provided for all oil line failures due to thousands of prior similar failures with the same oil line.Read more

All four tires on my 2025 Toyota Tundra experienced severe and abnormal outside edge wear at approximately 13,000 miles. The vehicle was purchased new and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations, including tire rotations every 5,000 miles at authorized Toyota dealerships. An authorized Toyota dealership inspected the vehicle, documented the abnormal tire wear, and performed alignment
... measurements. The dealership issued a written recommendation stating that a four-wheel alignment was needed to extend tire life and/or correct drivability concerns. Alignment measurements showed values outside specification. The tire manufacturer reviewed photos and documentation and confirmed the wear pattern is caused by vehicle alignment and not a tire manufacturing defect. The condition affected all four tires and required premature replacement, creating a potential safety concern due to reduced tread depth and handling stability. The issue appears to be related to steering or suspension geometry rather than normal tire wear.Read more

While driving, my brakes became mushy and ineffective. Brake warning lights came on, also. It was very scary driving in rush hour traffic with little to no brakes. There was no reliability. Just keeping as much as possible space between cars, using Hazard lights &prayer.

Was never notified of the recall pertaining to my vehicle. Upon research I contacted the dealership to have the recall fixed. First issue was they offere complimentary pickup and delivery which I scheduled and they did not show up, aswell as the call that was supposed to happen, and they tell me the recall is out of its extended warranty. I contacted Ford service department and they said the same
... as its out of extended warranty. This is a safety concern as Ford is aware of the failing component and will not let me get the recall fixed. At the moment the vehicle is in limp mode still runs just fine but due to the recall it is not and cannot get any help from the dealership nor Ford. I was never notified that the vehicle had any recalls as we where dealing with the known harmonic balancer issue which caused the dealership to replace the engine with a new and still had to replace that balancer 3 times until it was right. Besides that distraction there was no issues occuring from the Molded Lead Frame. This is a safety concern. The vehicle mileage is about 160k engine mileage maybe 20-30k. Original recalled component still remains. I am able to repair this myself but need to know if this was something they should be fixing.Read more
