Oil is getting past the piston oil rings, causing oil to get into spark plugs/coil area of engine. Mechanic printed recall paperwork for this exact issue, but no recall found for my VIN. According to recall, this is a very dangerous issue that can stall car at any time or may be more likely to cause fires. I need this to be addressed in my car, please. Especially since it's a known issue.

I have a coolant intrusion in my 2019 Ford Escape. It idles roughly, there’s thick sweet smelling white smoke coming from the exhaust and when we refilled the coolant to max and started it once, the coolant level was immediately at the minimum. We have not turned it on or driven it since we found this out. There is a customer satisfaction program for 2019 Ford Escapes for Powertrain Control Modu
... le reprogramming (Campaign 19B37) that then makes the vehicle eligible for a one time repair under campaign 21N12. This campaign fixes exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. It applies to vehicles built in Louisville until April 2019. My vehicle was built in Louisville in May 2019. The dealership told me to call Ford Customer Relations/Recall Team to explain the situation and get a goodwill repair since my vehicle is having the exact same issues as the vehicles built at the same plant the month before. The recall team refused to provide me with a goodwill repair and also refused to give me information on when or if at all my case will be reviewed by the appropriate team. I asked to be able to contact the team handling my review by phone. They said I could only communicate with them by physical mail. This is unacceptable and I believe that Ford caused an unsafe situation for countless drivers for years by not including 2019 Ford Escapes built in Louisville in May 2019 in their customer satisfaction program and are still refusing to do so.Read more

While driving at roadway speeds, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of the instrument cluster and infotainment display, immediately followed by an engine shutdown. Steering and braking assistance were reduced during the event, requiring immediate driver intervention to safely maneuver the vehicle. The failure occurred without warning. No prior warning messages or indicators were visible before
... the loss of power and instrumentation. After the vehicle coasted and was restarted, all systems appeared to return to normal operation. This condition has occurred more than once and presents a serious safety risk, especially at highway speeds, due to loss of engine power and driver information. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership and remained there for over three weeks for inspection. The manufacturer was consulted, but the condition could not be duplicated during testing. No repairs were performed, and the vehicle is being released back to the owner with instructions to drive it until the condition occurs again. The issue has not been resolved, and the vehicle remains susceptible to an unexpected shutdown while driving, which could result in a crash or loss of vehicle control.Read more

Headlights will appear to flicker during lite rain. Light reflected off of objects flicker. On coming traffic interpret the flickering as flashing lights trying to signal an emergency. This is caused by the location of the projector headlight light path being directly under the seam where the hood meets the fenders. During rain water is directed right in the path of the narrow beam beam thrown by
... the optics used to project the light in front of the cat. As water drips the beams of light are deflected sideways. It causes split second darkness in front of the car and confusion amongst drivers in the oncoming lanes. Mazda has recognized this and has a kit that fixes it but they are not calling it a safety issue and as a result are charging people including me upwards of $600 for the corrective kits installation. It is a safety issue. As a safety issue they should be compelled to install their fix for free. I have included file containing my request for help and Mazda's refusal. In addition I have included the technical bulletin describing the issue and the fix published by Mazda.Read more

The shark fin antennae on top of the vehicle was ripped off in a car wash; the antennae serves to transmit radio/GPS/data to & from the vehicle which will cease to function if it the cover is removed and components damaged. ... ntennae which they claim will cost $1500+ since the top of the roof must be removed and electronics/circuit board/cables must be replaced; it appears to be a common issue with these shark fins according to the dealers and online research. The GPS and data transfer could be a major safety factor depending on the systems affected. These shark fins need to be replaced with a more resilient system. Owners are unable to 'store' the antennae when taking it to the car wash as it is not removable or retractable. It is a design flaw. I've read that many have lost them simply driving the vehicle --not agitated using a car wash.Read more

Vehicle: 2014 Honda Odyssey, VIN [XXX] , approximately 88,000 miles. In October 2025, the vehicle developed a strong burning-like odor from the HVAC vents, the temperature gauge rose, and an “Engine Hot” warning message appeared. At the same time, engine performance deteriorated and the engine began misfiring. Due to the overheating warning and drivability issues, I stopped using the vehicle a
... nd brought it to Pit Stop Auto Center (203 Clinton Place, Long Branch, NJ 07740) for inspection. Component/system that failed or malfunctioned: The engine head gasket failed (engine/cooling system). The failure resulted in internal oil-to-coolant cross-contamination, with a milky/frothy oil–coolant mixture visible in the coolant reservoir and additional visible oil contamination when removing the coolant cap. The mechanic also stated in a message dated October 29, 2025 that after removing the water pump, they discovered that engine oil was mixed with coolant inside the cooling system. How safety was put at risk: The head gasket failure caused an engine overheating condition (“Engine Hot” warning) and misfiring/reduced performance, creating a risk of loss of power and breakdown while driving. The burning odor from the vents also raised safety concerns. I brought the vehicle in to prevent further damage and unsafe operation. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center: The problem was confirmed by an independent service center (Pit Stop Auto Center) based on inspection and documented evidence of oil mixed with coolant. Has the vehicle/component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others: by DCH Kay Honda/Pit Stop Auto Center Warning lamps/messages/symptoms prior to failure: Burning odor from vents, elevated temperature gauge, and “Engine Hot” warning message, with noticeable engine performance deterioration and misfiring beginning in October 2025. Every time I would get an oil change, I would ask why and they stated that these Kia engines after hitting 100,000 start to burn oil fast and about every 1,000 miles you have to add a quart of oil and go from your normal every 5,000 mile oil change to every 3,000 mile oil change. Some times the oil light would blink bu
... t some times it wouldn't. I had a mechanic double check this and he confirmed and said nothing you can do they are just like and he sees it all the time. I kept up with my oil changes every 3,000 miles and every week and a half checking the oil. Around 134,000 miles or so on 11/28/25 at 4:30am I was driving and all of a sudden my car was driving weird and shaking. Soon the engine light came on. The oil light this entire time never came on. I pulled into a Target parking lot an noticed there was no oil in the car and it went through 5qts in a week and a half. I added 4 qts oil to the car and waited for the mechanic shop 1/2 a mile to open up at 7am. The inspected the car and said a cylinder was blown and to drive slow and get it home and just park it and a new engine is needed. I called my mechanic and he came by the house and he looked and it to see if he could fix it and no luck but said that Kia did have recalls on their engines and to fight it. I called Kia and they didn't deny recalls on some cars but not mine. They advised me to do a claim to get help to get the engine on a recall. The car has not been driven since then and remains in the garage and is in perfect well kept condition otherwise.Read more

Received a re-call letter from FCA US LLC back in November of 2024 stating there was a re-call for the HCU which will affect the ABS as well and the ESC. ( Letter attached). Upon receiving the letter, I immediately ( with a day) starting calling around to dealerships to get it fixed, and not one was able to help me. Stating the part isn’t available, which was odd as I just received the letter
... . So I was thinking maybe I called to soon. I called once a month, every month since November 2024. Thinking this would be enough time to find the part, or find a new company or have the part fabricated some how? After months of no luck, I called Mopar/ Fiat. I was told the company that makes the part is no longer in business and when I asked about any other company making this part, no one was able to give me an answer or even another option for getting the re-call fixed. So, that leaves no solutions to get it fixed. Not to mention the chance of failure ( safety) and that fact that it’ll affect my trucks trade-in value. I have been patiently waiting, but nothing seems to be happening. No one is in a rush to find a solution. This is disheartening, as I have been a loyal Ram owner for 10+ years ( 3 trucks in total).Read more

I am an owner of the same year, and model GMC Sierra 1500 included in the GM Customer Satisfaction Program N212326940, which is the oil cooler line failure. However, my VIN was not included in the program despite experiencing the exact same failure the program covers. My safety and the safety of others is put at risk because the failure may cause an immediate loss of oil pressure or propulsion whi
... le driving. This is a huge safety hazard, since loss of vehicle control may occur. My vehicle has been inspected by a certified GM dealer and they confirmed the oil cooler line has failed and must be replaced. I have not experienced any warning lights, but my vehicle is leaking an excessive amount of oil. The vehicle is no longer safe to drive until repaired.Read more

The engine and engine management system of my 2018 Hyundai Tucson experienced repeated failures resulting in loss of propulsion and unsafe drivability. In November 2025, while traveling approximately 75 mph on a freeway, the vehicle suddenly entered limp mode without any prior warning, causing an abrupt loss of power in active highway traffic. No warning lamps or messages appeared before the failu
... re. After the loss of propulsion occurred, the check engine light, battery light, and oil light illuminated sequentially. Diagnostic trouble codes P1326 and P0326 were recorded. Initial inspection indicated severe oil consumption despite a recent oil change less than 2,000 miles earlier. A Hyundai dealership replaced knock sensors under warranty. Shortly after release (30 miles), the vehicle again exhibited severe drivability issues, including a flashing check engine light, and required immediate towing. A second Hyundai dealership replaced the short engine block under warranty. Approximately 180 miles after the engine replacement, the vehicle again developed unsafe drivability symptoms, including delayed throttle response, failure to accelerate unless the accelerator was fully depressed multiple times, jerking or lugging when slowing or stopped, and a faint whining noise. The check engine light illuminated again. These failures represent repeated loss of propulsion and unsafe operation following manufacturer-approved repairs, including full engine replacement. The vehicle has been out of service for approximately 57 days and remains in the custody of a Hyundai dealership awaiting diagnostics. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The sudden and unpredictable loss of power at highway speed created a significant risk of collision and serious injury to the driver and surrounding motorists.Read more

When the car was in a local Tire Discounters for an unrelated repair the mechanics noted that the rear subframe had significant degradation and the car was unsafe to operate without immediate replacement of the entire subfrane - at a cost of roughly $5,000. While driving my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, the vehicle experienced a complete dashboard and system blackout, as if the vehicle shut off and rebooted. This has occurred on two separate occasions. On one occasion, while stopped at a traffic light, the dashboard went completely black and restarted. After the system rebooted, the vehicle would not accelerate or move when the accelerator was pressed. I ha
... d to turn the vehicle off, restart it, and wait before it would drive again. The suspected malfunction involves the vehicle’s electrical/infotainment and related vehicle control systems. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the vehicle lost critical dashboard information and temporarily lost the ability to accelerate while in traffic, creating the risk of being struck by other vehicles. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Hyundai dealership (World Hyundai of Matteson). On December 23, 2025, I was informed by the dealer that a system/infotainment “glitch” had been identified and that a replacement part would be ordered. However, the part was never replaced. The dealer later stated that because the issue could not be duplicated during test drives (approximately 85 miles driven), the repair was not authorized. The dealer acknowledged the issue could not be reproduced on demand. The manufacturer (Hyundai) has not yet physically inspected the vehicle beyond dealership involvement. No police or insurance inspections occurred, as there was no crash. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. The failure occurred suddenly with a complete dashboard blackout and system restart. The first occurrence happened prior to December 23, 2025; the second occurred afterward. The issue is intermittent and unresolved. I am concerned that the defect must reoccur while driving in order to be repaired, posing an ongoing safety risk.Read more
