My fiance and I, bought the vehicle in May 2022? from Carvana. His name is [XXX] . Mine is [XXX] (maiden - [XXX] ) Price. [XXX] passed away August 6, 2025. I wanted to mention this part before I explain the problem. His son is supposed to sign the car over to me as soon as court proceedings are finished. I love the car. ... s on it. I only drive it around town. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The city is notorious for pot holes. However, I do not think this is a pot hole issue. Around December 2025, the car steering wheel started shaking vigorously. When we purchased the vehicle, the right CV axle was needing to be replaced. Now, I am not sure what the problem is, but I hate to have to trade the car in. This was my VERY first Hyundai experience, and I want to keep the car for forever, because of my fiance. But I may have to trade her in. I have come to a few conclusions on my own. 1) tires - so I had them replaced. 2) warped brake rotors 3) worn suspension components 4) worn electric steering column coupler. I wanted to give you the VIN because since it is an older vehicle (but like new to me), it may have had a recall. I do not want to keep this vehicle if it is a problem. But I also do not want to give it to anyone else since my fiance bought it for me. At least that way I can prepare myself to sell it. I am overall very pleased with the car, except this issue is a big one, and [XXX] is not here to guide me into a decision with it. The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle skipped and failed to exceed 35 MPH. The contact received notification of Hyundai Service Campaign Number: 9C2 (ECU SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THETA II EMISSIONS IMPROVEMENT), and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the catalytic converter was clogged and nee

The contact's son, who was an independent mechanic, determined that the ECU might have sent erroneous signals to the O2 sensors, who then sent excessive fuel into the catalytic converter, causing a catalytic converter clog. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informed of the Service Campaign notification, but the manufacturer denied assistance due to the mileage and lack of warranty coverage. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.Read more

The driver's seat automatic memory/easy-access feature experienced a severe safety system failure. Instead of detecting the obstruction and stopping, the anti-pinch/contact-detection sensor completely failed. The motor continued to forcefully push backward, crushing against the car seat and rippi

My 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid AWD was serviced under warranty on 4/22/2026 for a driveability concern after experiencing a loss of power while driving. No warning lamps, dashboard messages, or diagnostic codes appeared during the failure. The vehicle is currently at a Hyundai dealership for inspection and repair for the repeat issue and should be available for inspection upon request. The prior dealer record appears to describe the issue generally as a “driveability concern,” but the current repair diagnosis and full repair notes are still pending. It is unknown whether the dealer has reproduced or confirmed the failure during the current visit. I am reporting this as a sudden loss of motive power at highway speed involving the fuel/propulsion system, engine, and/or powertrain.Read more

"My 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has experienced repeated parasitic battery drain. Dealer diagnostic reports dated 5/12/26 and 5/14/26 document 'Excessive dark current draw condition identified' with dark current spikes well above the normal threshold of 50mA. Service technician verbally acknowledged this is a known issue across 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles. DTCs C173300 Undervoltage Detected were found on both front door handle sensor modules. Concerned about long term battery health and potential for repeated drain leaving vehicle inoperable."Read more

On 2 separate occasions, under similar circumstances, the collision warning systems, both front and rear, applied the brakes for no reason. The brakes automatically applied (no screen display); I reapp

About 3 weeks later, at a full stop at a stop sign, I was about to turn left onto another road. After confirming there was no cross traffic of any kind, and before I had completely released the brake, the collision assist engaged and suddenly applied the brakes (again with no screen display but an audible thump). Again, I was able to reapply the brake and then accelerate to make the turn. Since the same event had happened twice, I went directly to my local Hyundai Service Center and reported it. They kept the vehicle for a week and tested it thoroughly. Nothing showed as being faulty. When I picked up my vehicle on 5/22/26, they informed me that there's a known issue (NHTSA Campaign # 26V316) with other Hyundai models (not the Palisade) and that an update for the forward collision avoidance system in those models will be coming mid-summer. As the Palisade is not included in the Campaign list of makes/models, but has the exact same event/problem, I wanted to report this for inclusion in the safety recall. I was not injured in either event but anyone with this issue could potentially be at risk in the future.Read more

I own a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe that was purchased on 08/15/2025. The first malfunction occurred on 08/25/2025, only days after purchase, and the vehicle has experienced repeated safety-related issues since then. The vehicle has repeatedly displayed false Forward Collision Warning alerts, Blind Spot Warning failures, Park/Neutral errors, and intermittent disabling of safety features. The most serio
... us incident occurred when the vehicle unexpectedly entered “Limit 20 MPH” mode while I was pulling into active traffic with my toddler in the vehicle, limiting acceleration and creating a safety risk. I have also experienced false collision alerts while parked and after the vehicle was shut off. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair attempts. Some issues were duplicated by dealership personnel, while other visits were documented as “could not duplicate.” A front ultrasonic sensor was replaced, but the vehicle continued experiencing safety-related concerns afterward. During the repair process, I was informed and observed that dealership personnel appeared limited in what repair actions could be taken after consulting Hyundai through their diagnostic system. I was also informed that Hyundai influenced what could be included on service reports and that dealership personnel were instructed to “print the book” rather than fully document observed concerns. I believe this may have affected repair efforts and documentation of ongoing issues. The vehicle has been out of service for extended periods and the issues continue despite repeated repair attempts. Due to the ongoing malfunctions and inconsistent operation of the safety systems, I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle because I am concerned it may not function properly during a real emergency situation. Attached are photos of various dashboard errors and warning messages that occurred during these incidents to document the alerts and malfunctions experienced.Read more

The rearview camera system on my vehicle intermittently and unpredictably malfunctions when shifted into reverse. Instead of displaying the live rear camera feed, the infotainment screen abruptly turns entirely green or blue, completely obscuring the rearward view. Component that failed: The rearview camera system and/or the main infotainment display module. The components are currently on the ve
... hicle and available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: This failure severely compromises safety by eliminating critical rear visibility while backing up. The sudden loss of the camera feed creates a significant blind spot, increasing the risk of backing into a pedestrian, a moving object, or another vehicle, especially in busy parking lots or residential driveways. Dealer confirmation: Yes, this is a persistent defect that has been reproduced, confirmed, and documented by an authorized dealership service center during multiple service visits. Despite the dealer and the manufacturer being informed of this defect over two months ago, neither has been able to successfully repair the vehicle or provide a permanent fix. Inspected by others: The vehicle and the malfunctioning components have been inspected by the manufacturer’s authorized dealer technicians during multiple attempts to diagnose and repair the ongoing issue. Warning lamps/symptoms: There are no warning lamps, check engine lights, or error messages on the dashboard prior to or during the failure. The sole symptom is the immediate and spontaneous green or blue screen takeover on the center display precisely when the vehicle engages the reverse gear.Read more

I was driving - the car in front of me signaled they were exiting my lane, I accelerated to pull up - the auto brake triggered for no reason, slamming my car to a stop without my consent. This caused the car behind me to rear end the rear passenger side of my car, causing minor cosmetic damage.

TIRE SIZE 235 / 55 R 19. Vehicle is a 2024 IONIQ 5. Issue began at/around 10k miles of use. Sound dampening foam inside of the tires comes loose and bunches up in the tire, creating varying degrees of car shaking and vibration. At its worst, the steering wheel and tires violently shake, especially between 50 - 75 mph. On the highway this causes a very dangerous situation of the driver fighting t
... he wheel to remain safely within their lane. This can happen with no warning (or very little) as the vibration may be subtle at lower speeds on local roads, only to become unexpectedly extreme and violent while speeding-up to join highway traffic. Local Hyundai dealership inspected and tried rotating and balancing which did not fix the problem. Finally they removed the tires and inspected the foam which fixed the issue on one single tire. Cost was passed to the consumer, who is not at fault. And with only one tire addressed, the potential remains for each tire to experience the same failure without warning as time goes by. This is a very dangerous issue, well known as evidenced by complaints since 2023 online, and is going to cause accidents. It is unacceptable that drivers have risk their safety and that of other drivers if they lose control of the car due to the inability to control the steering wheel. Then have to pay to fix this issue or pay for new tires after only 10-12k miles.Read more
