On Feb. 1, 2026 my 2022 Kia Sportage caught fire while parked and turned off. The vehicle had been stationary and was not running at the time the fire started. There were no warning lights, no prior overheating, and no collision or external cause. The fire appears to have originated from the engine/electrical area. This incident resulted in a total loss of the vehicle and posed a serious safety r
... isk, as the fire occurred without warning. The vehicle was properly maintained and had no known modifications. This incident is concerning due to previous reports of Kia vehicles experiencing spontaneous fires related to electrical or engine components. I am requesting this incident be investigated for potential defects in electrical systems or engine components that may cause fires while the vehicle is parked and turned off.Read more

On January 19, 2026, Recall 25V274 was performed on my vehicle, and this was not disclosed to me when I picked up the vehicle from the dealership, Courtesy Buick GMC in Louisville, KY. I only found out when I got home and read through all the service notes. I contacted the dealer on January 19 after I got home, asking for explanation and have not heard back. The Recall Remedy failed. Since the s

The dealer told me verbally everything was fine, and in the service notes from Jan 19, they noted vehicle as 'Operating as Designed and Within Spec' despite performing safety recall work."Read more

The vehicle has experienced repeated fuel system failures. The fuel pump control module (FPCM) is a known General Motors issue on similar vehicles, but this specific vehicle was not included in a recall. The vehicle now displays diagnostic trouble code P2635 – Fuel Pump Flow Performance. The engine hesitates and loses power during acceleration, especially under load or when the vehicle is warm.
... Prior to this code, the vehicle repeatedly reported fuel injector-related faults. Four fuel injectors have already failed and required replacement, causing significant financial loss. Based on diagnosis, the injector failures appear to be secondary damage caused by improper fuel control from the fuel pump control module. This condition creates a potential safety risk due to unexpected hesitation and reduced engine power while driving. The issue appears to be related to a systemic electronic fuel control problem rather than normal wear.Read more

I own a 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 that I purchased brand new. Since buying it, it has been back to the dealer many times for serious issues. ... old this is a common issue but there has been no recall. Shortly after getting the vehicle back, while traveling with my family, I received a dashboard warning: “Stop safely – electrical fault.” Immediately after this warning, the vehicle lost power and died in the street with my family in the car, creating a major safety hazard and risk of being hit by traffic. The vehicle had to be towed. I am currently stranded in NY (away from home in MA) and the vehicle is now at a dealer here. It has been difficult to even get it seen by a technician, and we are supposed to return home tomorrow (Sunday). I have learned many other owners are experiencing similar “Stop safely” failures and it appears related to the P400 DC/DC converter. There have also been incidents where the steering wheel would not turn, and the only way to restore function was disconnecting the negative battery terminal to reset the vehicle computer, which is extremely dangerous. Additionally, the heated steering wheel overheated and burned a hole through the steering wheel and burned my hand while driving. The dealer replaced it under warranty, but the repair notes suggested the damage caused the heater issue, when the damage occurred because of the overheating/burn. This vehicle has had repeated safety-related defects involving the cooling system, electrical system, steering, and heated steering wheel, including sudden shutdown in the roadway with passengers. Before getting the recall completed on this 2018 Honda Fit I was experiencing the engine misfiring and engine stalling while driving as well as many warning light illuminating on the dashboard. When taking the vehicle to the dealership they found out that I needed a recall completed for the fuel pump so this may have been what was causing the engine misfiring, stalling, and illuminated warning lig
... hts on the dashboard. But, because I was experiencing a misfire they went ahead and charged me for a diagnosis so they can make sure there are no other issues going on. So after performing the recall on the fuel pump replacement the dealer technician says there in an active engine code and says its P0301 for engine misfire and with further checking says I need to replace a four fuel injectors with only 85,000 miles on the vehicle. Since this was the initial cause of the issue I thought this would be a recall as well but the dealer said it was not and wanted to charge me for replacement of all four fuel injectors. I believe since this is the same issue in regards to safety that they should be covering this under warranty or forced/voluntary recall. I would like there to be an investigation into this issue since this seems like a design flaw from the manufacturer which when reading the fuel pump recall says "the fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash" which describes the ongoing issue I have with my vehicle after the safety recall was completed.Read more

The air conditioning system in my 2020 Honda Civic EX has a refrigerant leak at the evaporator assembly, causing very weak or almost no cooling even when set to the lowest temperature settings. This happens consistently, including in moderate to hot outside temperatures, making the cabin uncomfortably warm during drives as it could get pretty hot in inland southern California. The A/C evaporator a
... ssembly is the failed component, and the part remains in the vehicle available for inspection if requested. This issue creates a safety risk because reduced visibility from window fogging in humid or rainy conditions (due to lack of proper dehumidification and cooling) can impair safe driving. In extreme heat, it also increases driver fatigue and distraction from discomfort. The problem was confirmed by a Honda dealership through diagnostic testing, which identified the evaporator leaking refrigerant. They previously repaired a related condenser leak under warranty, but the cooling issue persisted and was later traced to the evaporator. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership (manufacturer-authorized) on multiple occasions for this A/C concern. No specific warning lamps or messages appeared on the dashboard related to the A/C system. This appears to be part of a broader pattern reported by owners of similar 2016-2021 Honda Civics, where condenser failures (sometimes covered by extended warranty) are followed by evaporator leaks, possibly related to the vehicle's use of R-1234yf refrigerant and system pressures. I recently received partial goodwill assistance from the manufacturer toward repair costs, but the issue highlights a recurring defect in the A/C system that affects cooling reliability. This car is driven by my 20 years old daughter as a commuter car to college and she is really suffering. I feel I am putting her at risk and need to get it fixed ASAP at whatever cost.Read more
