Vehicle: 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite VIN: [XXX] Recall: Stellantis / Jeep Recall 01C (NHTSA 25V‑011) Dealer: Carson Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Carson City, Nevada Description: My 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite (VIN [XXX] ) is included in Stellantis Recall 01C. It has now been more than a year since the recall was issued, and Stellantis still has not provided a remedy for my vehicle. My ser
... vicing dealer, Carson Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Carson City, Nevada, reports that no parts are available for the recall and that Stellantis has not provided any timeline for when parts or the required software remedy will be released. This recall involves a safety‑related defect in the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) that can cause loss of drive power or loss of Park function. Despite the severity of the defect, Stellantis continues to delay both the software remedy and the availability of replacement PTU components. I am unable to obtain the required repair, and the manufacturer has not met the federal requirement to provide a timely remedy. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Stellantis for an unreasonable delay in providing recall repairs for Recall 01C and require the manufacturer to supply the remedy without further delay. This vehicle has been returned to service 5 times. It is currently in service for the same 4 issues that it was taken to service for the very first time on 12/10/2025. This includes inappropriate braking on the interstate, driver window malfunction, the key intermittently stops working, and the connectivity does not regularly work. In addition to these 4 issues, the main screen in the car stop
... ped working and the rear Vox screen has stopped working. Based on state law, Lincoln should have bought the car back, as I have had it for just over 2 months. As of February 2nd, 2026 the car has been returned to service 5 times and has been back to the dealership for service for 37 days and still counting since the original pick up date of 11/21/2025. The dealership has not honored their commitments with black label service. I was upsold on the vehicle for this service. On multiple occasions I have not been provided the delivery that is included. I was told by the assistant manager that this service would include a Lincoln Navigator brought to my location. The GM informed myself and my husband that they do not have to honor that. They offered a car that did not legally fit my 4 children in the backseat. Eventually, after many phone calls, they offered a much smaller Aviator. The service manager stated they they attempted 3 different eyeballs. When questioned on dates that they provided to Lincoln, he became very defensive and hung up on me. My husband and I attempted to meet with him in person at the dealership. After being told that he would meet with us and then waiting 3 hours, we had to leave. The GM did not provide assistance with this, as he stated he was in a meeting. The GM and assistant manager have both stated that we have no legal recourse, as I signed an arbitration agreement.Read more

ICCU failed 12/29/25, car inoperable and towed to dealer. Luckily this was in my garage , had it been on the freeway it would have been very dangerous and car goes into limp mode. Car red battery light and made chimes. Only has 25,000 miles on it. Has been at dealer since then with no resolution update.

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The rear windshield (tempered glass) and the integrated rear defroster heating element system. Yes, the vehicle and the shattered glass (contained within the frame/cargo area) are available for immediate inspection. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Luckily, this incid
... ent occurred when I entered the vehicle not on a roadway. If it had occurred when I was driving its is quite unsafe. The spontaneous failure occurred with a loud explosion, creating an immediate distraction and startle hazard. The shattering resulted in tempered glass shards entering the cabin and falling onto the exterior roadway. This failure compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle, obstructs rear visibility, and exposes the interior to the elements. Had this occurred at highway speeds or with passengers in the rear seat, the risk of injury from glass spray or a secondary collision due to driver distraction would be significant. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center?: No. I contacted Honda of Lynnwood to have the failure confirmed and inspected, but they declined to schedule an appointment. They stated they could not address the issue because it is not classified as a "recall," despite the existence of a Voluntary Production Update for this specific defect. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others?: Not yet. The vehicle is currently awaiting inspection. I am seeking this inspection from Honda of Lynnwood as part of the formal claim process, but have been met with resistance from the dealership. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lamps or electronic messages. The failure was spontaneous.Read more

On January 3, 2026, I started the truck, but it would not go into gear when I put into drive; I then attempted to put into reverse and same problem. I had to have it towed to the dealership, McCluskey Chevrolet, Kings Automall, Cincinnati Ohio, on Monday, January 5, 2026, this is where I purchased the vehicle on May 14, 2022, with 16,594 miles at time of purchase (estimated), it was towed on a fl
... atbed, and arrived at McCluskey with 60,072 miles. Truck was looked and they found that it needed a valve body. At which time they told me GM warranty expired, over 60,000 miles, really by 72 miles. Ok there is a powertrain warranty then I had to prove oil changes, guess what I'm human and I missed two oil changes so the "extended warranty" McCluskey "gifted me" was void. I then complained I only drove the vehicle 43000 miles and for a 2021 with 60,072 miles this is an issue. Service advisor then went to management and they reduce the cost from est. 4000.00 to 585.00 plus tax through a program that GM offers. Picked up repaired vehicle on 1/30/2026, 2/1/2026 engine light came on went to have a veriscan and it found solenoid 3 stuck off & solenoid 4 (the one that was replaced) stuck on. This is an issue on gas 2021 Silverado 1500 and I wanted to report my experience because this is not "primarily" a diesel problem any longer.Read more

1ST ISSUE: 9/2025, after driving from another city to my home at 55-75 mph. As I pulled up home, the car just stalled and wouldn't start. I installed in front of home on street and have been trying to get money back after reporting to GM I repaired my fuel pump control module and have been trying to get my money back from a repair done on 9/29/2025 by me. GM says it's looking into still after I keep calling them on status of this notice. I still have old part. I have filled out all reimbursement forms.1st the danger of it failing and now no money. The vehicle’s infotainment touchscreen intermittently malfunctions due to apparent LCD ghosting or phantom touch inputs. The system registers commands without driver interaction, resulting in unpredictable and uncontrollable behavior. The failure presents as: •Ghost touches and phantom screen inputs •Uncommanded radio, media, and menu changes •Audible warning or confirmation beeps without
... driver input •Sudden and unexplained changes to the instrument cluster display •Periods of complete touchscreen failure •Loss of reliable control of audio, navigation, and vehicle settings These events occur while the vehicle is in motion and without warning. The driver is unable to stop or override the inputs, forcing attention away from the road in an attempt to correct or understand the malfunction. No warning lights are present prior to or during the failure. This condition creates a significant driver distraction and represents a safety hazard. The infotainment system is integrated into core vehicle functions, and its failure directly interferes with safe operation. In some instances, the system becomes unusable altogether. The issue is intermittent, difficult to reproduce on demand, and not resolved by restarting the vehicle. Based on the symptoms, this appears to be a hardware-related touchscreen or digitizer failure rather than user error. Given the prevalence of many similar reports involving GM infotainment systems exhibiting ghost touch behavior, this condition may represent a broader defect affecting this platform and model year range. Re: Touch Screen has a mind of its own - Page 4 - 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra - GM-Trucks.com. Summary of the Safety Defect The passenger-side window of my 2024 Winnebago Era 70X fell out of the vehicle. The window detached from the frame and separated from the RV while the vehicle was stationary. This failure represents a serious safety hazard, as the window could have fallen out while driving, potentially causing injury to occupants, other motorists, or pedestrians. Winnebago has acknowl
... edged the issue but has stated that the replacement window is on backorder with no estimated timeline. The vehicle cannot be safely operated without this window. Details of the Incident The passenger-side window unexpectedly detached from the RV. The window assembly appears to have failed at the adhesive or mounting points. This failure could have resulted in the window falling out at highway speeds. The defect compromises structural integrity, weather sealing, and occupant safety. The RV has been unusable since the incident. Manufacturer Response Winnebago Customer Care has stated: The window is “still on backorder.” No estimated date for replacement is available. They have not provided a temporary fix or safe-operability guidance. This leaves the vehicle in an unsafe, non‑operational condition. Why This Is a Safety Concern A window detaching from a motor vehicle is a critical safety defect because: It can detach while driving and strike other vehicles or people. It exposes occupants to road debris, weather, and potential ejection hazards. It compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle’s sidewall. It prevents safe operation of the RV. Requested Action I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this defect to determine whether: The window detachment is part of a broader pattern among Winnebago Era models The adhesive/mounting system is defective A recall or corrective action is warranted I am also requesting that NHTSA document this incident as part of its safety defect database.Read more

I suddenly noticed a noise coming from the engine that sounded like a noisy lifter and stopped using the car after hearing it. The next day I called Circle Chevrolet to check and verify if they could check the car and do any work required under the CPO Warranty. They advised that they could since they were part of the GM Family and could do any work required under the CPO Warranty. I then arranged
... to have the car towed to Circle Chevrolet to prevent any further damage, that was on Oct 20, 2025. The CPO Warranty was due to expire on Oct 27, 2025 due to time, not mileage. The dealership advised that the vehicle would need to be examined by one of only 3 qualified mechanics in their shop who could do this evaluation and determination if the issue(s) were covered under the CPO Warranty and it would be about 3 days before they could have one of their 3 qualified technicians check the car. The Service Adviser called me back on October 22nd, 2025, and advised that Cylinder 5 had noisy lifters and that they would be changing out the engine with a newly rebuilt engine, all under the CPO Warranty. The Service Adviser said it would take 3-5 days to get the replacement engine in and then about 2-3 days to replace the engine. However, less then 24 hours after getting my car back, the check engine light came on, which was not on when I had the car towed to the dealer. They said the catalytic converter needed to be replaced and said it would be ~$6000. They refused to cover the replacement even though the catalytic converter was damaged due to a combination of the engine problem/defect and the testing and installation work performed by the dealer. I reached out to the dealer and GMC and they refused to address the issue and would not provide an itemized estimate to replace the catalytic converter and refused to return my phone calls I made to both the Service Adviser and Service Manager. The mobile app will not connect, preventing charging monitoring or battery pre-conditioning in cold weather. Charging frequently fails to initiate or stops prematurely. Level 2 (slow) charging often stops after only 5–10% of charge is added but is unpredictable. Even when charging on a level 3 charger, the vehicle often charges to random levels below 80% (the level to which the vehicle is sup
... posed to charge). DC fast charging is slow and often struggles to reach 40%-50% within a reasonable time. Charging equipment often reports significantly more energy delivered than vehicle displays. This has occurred at multiple charging locations (and multiple chargers). The vehicle’s range has been severely reduced. The vehicle’s range is dramatically less than it used to be. The battery is often drained and needs to be recharged in less than 100 miles. The vehicle often loses power. This is inconsistent, but when it happens, I am only able to get the vehicle moving at a very slow pace, which was not the case previously. I have contacted the selling dealer multiple times and Volkswagen directly. Charging-related issues have continued to worsen.Read more

Incident Description: While traveling at 45 mph with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) active, the vehicle experienced a "phantom braking" event triggered by high-contrast shadows on the roadway. The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) incorrectly identified a shadow as a physical obstacle and abruptly applied the brakes in a clear path of travel. I was forced to manually override the system by
... applying the accelerator to prevent a potential rear-end collision. Safety Risk & Technical Context: This defect is repeatable under specific lighting conditions and occurs across multiple speed intervals (35–45 mph). I believe this incident is directly related to the ongoing NHTSA Engineering Analysis (EA24002) regarding inadvertent AEB activations. Furthermore, recent Service Bulletins (such as MC-11024251-0001) regarding Front View Camera and Radar Sensor updates suggest a known failure in the system's ability to process high-contrast environmental data. Conclusion: My local dealership failed to investigate the complaint. The sudden, unexpected deceleration poses a severe safety risk to the vehicle's occupants and following traffic. I request that NHTSA formally notify Honda of America regarding this recurring ADAS failure to ensure that my VIN is prioritized for the necessary sensor alignment and software enhancements.Read more

On 1/15/2026, my 2025 Ionic 5 Limited AWD car with 11K miles on it suddenly lost power about 1/2 mile from my home. I pulled over to the side of the road and within seconds the car was totally dead (nothing worked). After waiting 1 1/2 hours (in an unheated car with outside temperatures in the 30's (F)) the car was towed to the dealership, where the ICCU was determined to be the problem. The de

I have experienced a loss of fuel pressure/engine stall on several occasions. I am not sure of the specific dates yet I had to add one on this form. There has been a recall since July 2025, for which Ford has acknowledged this increases the risk of a crash yet there is still no resolution. This is unacceptable, I have listed the recall numbers below. Manufacturer Recall Number 25S75 NHTSA Recall

The 12 V battery failed within two years of the delivery of the car. I believe this is due to the design of the charging unit within it as many other others report the same problem.
