Because the front camera has malfunctioned, all electronic warnings are permanently displayed on dash upon start of car, including Engine light and Brake system warnings. Although the camera is the only only thing that has actually failed, the warning systems are no longer available to accurately display all other malfunctions of the car which would prove dangerous should a system failure actuall

I have had the car in to the dealer several times to make sure the engine is in fact ok, but I cannot afford the $2000 to repair the camera just so the warning lights will go off. It is unsafe that the accuracy of the Honda Pilot's warning systems are impacted. This appears to be an issue specifially with 2019 Honda Pilots as i have found numerous reports online and social media forums with the exact same complaints.Read more

Hello, I am wanting to file a complaint regarding my 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel. As of April 2025 my vehicle's Air Suspension system has been a Safety issue for me. I have noticed that the Service Air Suspension Immediatley, Service Air Suspension system messages have been displaying on my vehicle's dashboard. I took my vehicle into the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX in April 2025 for a diagnosis and no r
... epairs were completed. I then noticed once again in December 2025 that my vehicle was displaying the same dtc messages above. The vehicle once again was taken into the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX for a diagnosis and it was recommended to have the Air Suspension Control module replaced to correct this issue. I paid to have this repair completed in January 2026. My vehicle was returned to me and I was advised that I would no longer have any further issues. As a result, in February 2026 3 weeks of having my vehicle back in my posession the same dtc messages were once again displaying on my vehicle's dashboard. My vehicle was brought to the Mac Haik Dodge in Temple, TX for another diagnosis and it was recommened to either have the Air Suspension compressor replaced or to completely remove the entire Air Suspension system and transition to a Coil / Springs conversion to prevent any further issues. My concerns are that due to not having my vehicle repaired correctly back in April 2025 and the ongoing issues I have experienced this is considered a Safety risk with operating a vehicle that has not been repaired correctly. I've driven my vehicle and have now experienced the Air Suspension drop completely in the rear of the vehicle causing a severe and bumpy type ride while driivng my vehicle to a place that the vehicle can be parked. I wanted to express my concenrs to NHTSA to see if this issue could be looked into further. I have noticed that several other Vehicle owners who's vehicles are equipped with the Air Suspension have experienced similiar issues with their vehicles.Read more

A manufacturer recall was issued for a defect involving the fuel system (fuel injectors), but no remedy or repair timeline has been provided. Due to the safety risk (potential fuel leakage and/or fire), I cannot reasonably use the vehicle without concern for liability if harm were to occur. Additionally, the recall must be marked as resolved in the NHTSA database before the vehicle can be returne
... d to normal use, which is not possible without an available fix. The extended and indefinite repair timeline creates a significant burden, as the vehicle remains unusable with no clear resolution date. I have contacted both the dealer and the manufacturer, but no satisfactory resolution or timeline has been provided. No warning lights or prior symptoms were observed. The issue has not been independently reproduced, as it is a manufacturer-identified defect. The vehicle has not been repaired because no remedy is available. Overall, this represents a safety concern and loss of use, with no timeline provided for when the recall will be resolved.Read more

GM issued a special coverage in bulletin N252508341 for the coolant control valve in my vehicle. This issue happened to my vehicle exactly as the symptoms are stated in the bulletin: check engine light, P1098 code, fan running at high speed with the engine on and off, and reduced acceleration. I took the vehicle to the dealer to be covered, and they say my vehicle is not covered by the bulletin.

Which had all the issues and symptoms listed in the special coverage. Yet, they say it is not covered. This seems incredibly shady. And very wrong. Why in the world would they not be covering my vehicle? It seems unsafe to be driving a vehicle that has reduced acceleration, a fan constantly running at high speed, and a check engine light for malfunctioning parts. Faulty parts from GM which they have already acknowledged are bad.Read more

The engine in my Honda Civic Si failed prematurely at 28,677 miles while the vehicle was still within Honda’s 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. Honda and the dealership denied warranty coverage based on a recorded engine overspeed event of 6,900 RPM that occurred earlier at 19,259 miles. The engine’s rev limiter is 6,600 RPM, meaning the recorded event exceeded the limiter by only 300 R
... PM. After this recorded event, the vehicle continued to operate normally for approximately 9,400 additional miles with no warning lights, drivability issues, or indication of engine damage. The engine failure occurred suddenly at low mileage without prior symptoms. Honda has not provided clear technical evidence demonstrating how a minor overspeed event of this magnitude, occurring thousands of miles earlier, directly caused the engine failure. This raises concerns about premature engine failure, possible engine defects, and the reliability and durability of the Honda Civic Si 1.5T engine. It also raises concerns about manufacturers denying warranty coverage for failures without clear causal evidence. This failure resulted in loss of vehicle function and significant financial burden. The vehicle has been properly maintained and was operated under normal driving conditions. I am submitting this complaint because premature engine failure at such low mileage may indicate a defect affecting engine durability, safety, and reliabilityRead more

Routine Friday morning and just finished charging my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 at Walmart. As I started my vehicle to finish my commute to work, the dreaded "Check electric vehicle system" warning light came on along with a red battery icon. There were no warning signs or anything that could have foretold what would be happening. I pulled into an empty parking stall and called the Hyundai dealer for
... advice. I was told not to drive the vehicle and get it towed to the dealership. After being diagnosed, my car will need a new ICCU and ICCU fuse. The dealership gave me no ETA as it often takes weeks to months to receive the parts from Korea. I was told Fontana Hyundai had 9 other cars with the same ICCU issue in line before mine. I was so glad it occurred in a parking lot and not on the freeway since a malfunction with the ICCU will basically cause the car to loose total power and control. This is definitely a huge concern and safety issue.Read more

They said no...The next day I tried to text the tech to get a ride back to the dealership but no one responded. I called the dealership multiple times and finally got ahold of a person who had no clue what was going on. They then told me that the tech went on vacation and reassigned my truck to another tech. They couldn’t get an Uber back to the dealership, so I ended up driving there with my wife. They gave me a report of the inspection that they did on the truck and it said that the battery terminals were OK even though it has a sheetrock screw holding it in place. On arrival, the truck looked like it wasn't touched. Cover screws still had dust on them and the driver airbag cover was the same. I called them out on it and they reassured me that it was indeed replaced and the driver airbag cover was reused. Component/System Failed: The vehicle’s CVT transmission and related transmission components. The transmission and associated components have been replaced multiple times by authorized Subaru dealerships. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Description of the Failure and Safety Risk: The vehicle has experienced repeated, intermittent transmission malfunctions, including warning
... lights, loss of power during acceleration, and sudden harsh re-engagement. Most recently, while accelerating through an intersection from a stop, the vehicle briefly lost power and then abruptly surged forward, causing a pronounced lurch strong enough to chirp the tires. This created a serious safety concern. A hesitation or loss of motive power in an active intersection exposes me to potential cross-traffic collisions, while the sudden re-engagement creates unpredictable acceleration and possible loss of control. The intermittent nature of the malfunction makes it impossible to anticipate when it will occur. Dealer/Manufacturer Involvement: The issue has been reported to and inspected by authorized Subaru dealerships multiple times. Because the malfunction is intermittent, dealers have stated they cannot fully diagnose the issue unless warning lights are active at the time of inspection. Subaru corporate customer advocacy has been involved in reviewing the case. Warning Lamps / Prior Symptoms: Intermittent transmission and check engine warning lights have appeared repeatedly over several months. The lights often illuminate while driving and then turn off after restarting the vehicle, despite the underlying issue not being resolved.Read more
