Vehicle WITHOUT WARNING will start to jerk then go into “limp” mode. Pressing on gas pedal makes the revving noise but with not physical movement made. This has happened on MULTIPLE occasions (13 times in 4 months) including in the snow and on the interstate while driving at 70mph where no shoulder is available to pull over. Car was taken to dealership 3 different times with no actual diagnosi
... s, tests were ran all 3 times with nothing. Eventually the 3rd time at the dealership I was told the transmission was being replaced although they were not sure what actually caused the issue (this is written in the service report by the rep/mechanic). CAR REMAINS UNSAFE AND UNRELIABLE. Livelihood of myself, family and other drivers is at risk EVERYTIME I put the car in drive due to this mechanical issue. NO WARNINGS NO POWER NO FIX.Read more

On March 1, 2026, while traveling south on Colonel Rodman Highway, I heard a sudden explosive noise and the Jeep bucked and jerked violently, nearly causing an accident. We were able to reach the breakdown lane, but the situation created a highly hazardous driving condition. My research identified a significant PTU recall and TSB 9004402, which acknowledges complexities and compatibility issues b
... etween 20-plate and 24-plate RDM designs for this model year. This confirms the component is not a standard wear-and-tear part, but a specialized system with known engineering concerns. I brought the vehicle to Tasca Jeep and was advised that the rear differential failed and the PTU blew apart, with an estimated repair cost of $9,637. It is unacceptable for owners to bear the cost of what appears to be a known safety-related defect. This is not an inconvenience — it is a serious safety issue. I am requesting a full investigation and written clarification as to why no recall or broader corrective action has been issued. There were no lights or warnings on the dash, no indication this could/would happen. I look forward to your prompt response.Read more

A coolant hose located on the top of the engine developed a leak that caused the engine to overheat. It was necessary to remove several components of the engine to reach and replace the leaking hose. This repair cost over 5000 dollars with the associated labor cost. Vehicle had less than 6000 miles on it at the time of the incident. It took several weeks to get the needed parts.

1. Electronic power steering modular issue. My 2018 GMC SEIRRA 1500 CREW CAB JUST LOST ALL POWER STEERING. THEN WHEN I PARK IT. However not expecting power steering to go out, almost hit a pedestrian. 3. No it has not Ben inspected yet I can’t afford the bill 4. No it has not been reported what for I didn’t hit anybody and the cops in this area they could give her rats ass they don’t make a report the question you like you’re like a criminal. 5. No warnings or anything until it happened that day leaving the grocery store. There is absolutely no notification it was gonna happen. It ran fine when I parked it to grocery shop Come back out & I could barely back out to leave. I can lift up my had fatboy if needed so I’m sure turning a steering wheel…. lol Thnx a lot If I could figure out what part needs to be changed out or you could cover the parts needed. I do work in cars or have in the past, I don’t like the new ones, but this seems simple enough if I knew exactly what part I needed to pull out change out or I see that there’s recalls on previous vehicles and GMC after2020- 24 but I don’t see 2018 didn’t happen so I like to say whoever created that electronic steering can take that module along with the harness and they know exactly where they can put it don’t they I’m just saying as a used to be not sure now a GMC supporter, but I’m starting to think twice now if IRead more

The rear light bar/tail light assembly fills with water and causing turn signals and light bar to intermittently not work. ... we set up appointment for 2/5/26. I was able to tow vehicle to the dealership on 2/3/26. I received a call later that day from Martin on why my vehicle was there I explained the issue of loss of power and lights and door locks flickering and I believed it to be related to the recall. I received a text/email with the dealership making recommedations. I refuse them as they were not urgent and not why my vehicle was there. I received a text message 2/4/26 that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and they had ordered the recall parts and was a week out but I was able to pick up. I called mutiple times for 2 weeks to find out more and was never called back. on 2/14/26 I drove to the dealer ship to find out what was going on. I was told they still were waiting for part and when I asked what part they ordered and why I never got a call back I was only told they ordered a "valve kit" which Martin had to call the parts dept becuse my vehicle was not in there current service since they were waiting on parts. I asked what about the alternator and they said since I denied any repairs out side of the recall and the battery was an item I declined they did not test the alternator. I asked why they could not charge it as I expressed to them several times it was a new battery. they never answered me. but they told be they had to charge it to get it in to look at it. I said well doesn't that mean the alternator is bad and it needs to be replaced under the recall. after going back and fourth I ended up taking my vehicle and ended up agian on the side of the road with my daughter.Read more

I own a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV WT equipped with the OEM soft tonneau cover. The original cover and its warranty replacement have both failed in the same way. The cover material appears to shrink over time so that the side flaps will no longer reach and stay attached to the Velcro along the bed rails. At highway speeds the cover flaps and “balloons” upward, and the Velcro strips will not s
... tay connected even when properly installed and tightened. The dealer has already replaced the cover once under warranty, but the replacement has the same problems. This suggests a design or materials defect, not a one‑time bad part or installation error. In my opinion, the flapping and ballooning could allow the cover to come loose or detach at speed, which could create a road hazard for other drivers. I am asking NHTSA to track these failures and evaluate whether the OEM soft tonneau cover on the Silverado EV presents a safety risk similar to prior GM tonneau cover issues where covers detached while driving.Read more

multitude of electrical problems: Fuel/Propulsion System, Lighting, and body controls along with all ADAS: Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assistance systems are impacted by random intermittent glitching as computer screen bubbling progressed with goo leaking out of the bottom of the main comp
... uter. Most recent symptom was disabling of ALL ADAS systems along with automatic high beam headlight switching. Long ago as screen began to bubble and express fluid the low windshield washer alert came on and remains even when the tank is full. Then the charge port responsiveness degraded and stopped automatically functioning requiring user to bypass by clicking the "open charge port", then waiting 3 seconds, then tapping "unlock charge port". User must perform this as remote manual operation from a NACS charging handle button push will FAIL. Long ago the computer controlled 'home link' module would have excessive time delays on the order of hours or days from when the user would program and or operate the function. I even had a "phanthom" car appear by the computer calculations with E-Braking before the ADAS system failed fully, a 1.0 Tesla system should not have that... Windows have randomly rolled down and the driver side rear door will unlock and open on its own as the door handles present themselves. The safety risk class is unknown unknown; if the root problem is the screen filling leaking on electronics any number of unknown, unplanned, unstudied risk failure modes exist that can not be predicted. Forward Facing Driver Assist cabin camera will shut off the cruise while you are driving if it cannot detect your eyes. This is NOT a safety feature but rather an extremely dangerous safety hazard!!! While you are traveling at 70+ mph and put on sunglasses and all of a sudden the car starts alarming and decelerates without warning causing the driver to become EXTREMELY distracted trying to figure
... out what is going on is a recipe for a major incident. There is no way to shut the camera off so you are then forced to either drive with no cruise at all so you can wear sunglasses and for long trips creates added and unnecessary driver fatigue OR you forego wearing sunglasses and squinting causing unnecessary eye strain/fatigue so you can use the cruise. Please explain to me how this is a safety feature? Also the warning that 'you might need to take a break' is also NOT a safety feature and also creates driver distraction rather than safety and should just totally be removed from the vehicle software completely. We have literally driven the car over the center line on the rumble strips without a signal and then back into our lane again the warning does NOT go off, we've jerked the wheel to avoid an object in the road warning does NOT go off, BUT if you happen to drive to close to the center line but don't go over it then the warning DOES go off.....if we just left the house turned out of the driveway, the damn thing goes off. There is no making sense of when or why it goes off, it's completely random. And again, no option to turn it off. Had the dealership given COMPLETE details of these 2 specific "SAFETY" features - I use that term EXTEREMLY loosely - sharing they could NOT be turned off I never, EVER would have bought this vehicle. I am not alone in my complaints, I have seen hundreds of similar complaints on forums for Hyundai vehicles that have this feature. PLEASE PLEASE issue a directive to Hyundai that they need to push a fix allowing shut off of these 2 featuresRead more

Vehicle is consuming or burning oil at a high rate. While dealer has done an oil consumption test and claimed it was "within tolerance," I have on multiple occasions had the car start to shudder at 2,000 miles since last oil change only to find the oil wasn't even on the stick anymore. The symptoms go away when adding oil, on some occasions more than 4 quarts of oil need to be added to get the oil
... to "full" on the dip stick. Multiple independent service centers have noted how dirty the oil is and how little is drained on oil change. No warning lights have come on at any time, even when car is making grinding noises and shuddering with no oil. This causes a safety issue as drivers reasonably expect to go at least 3,000 miles between oil changes and the engine could seize in traffic. Owners are being tacitly asked to add oil regularly to keep the engine functioning properly.Read more

I have asked for the full rod bearing wear test report and they will not provide it. They have had my vehicle for 20
... days now and I am out of work on disability. Hyundai service center is generally expected to provide you with a report following a rod bearing wear test (often referred to as a Bearing Clearance Test or by a related service campaign, such as T6G or TSB 21-EM-004H). Here is what you can expect regarding reports and documentation: Documentation of Results: The dealership should provide a copy of the results, specifically noting if the bearing clearance passes or fails. Proof of Inspection: If the test is performed under a recall or Service Campaign (e.g., Campaign 966, 982, or T6G), they are required to document the inspection, which you can request for your records. Evidence of Damage: If the test results in a failed diagnosis, technicians often take photos of the engine internals, such as metal flakes in the oil pan or excessive wear, which are used to support the warranty claim. If the Test Passes: If your vehicle passes, ask the technician to print a copy of the results. If the Test Fails: A formal diagnosis of rod bearing failure, confirmed by this test, is required for engine replacement under the extended 15-year/150,000-mile warranty. The contact owns a Nuna Car Seat, Model Type: Pipa Aire RX, Manufactured Date: March 06, 2024. The car seat was installed in a 2023 Volvo XC60. The contact stated while unbuckling the child out of the car seat, the straps used to latch the harness were loose. After the initial failure, the contact inspected the car seat harnesses several times while strapping the child into the car seat; however,
... the failure persisted. The contact reached out to the manufacturer several times before the contact was able to reach a representative. Once the contact was able to reach a representative, the contact was advised to take a video of the failure while driving and submitting the information and the contact declined the suggestion because the vehicle was unsafe. The contact also reached out to the manufacturer through email and was given a ticket number. The contact reached out to the company where the car seat was purchased and was informed that the one-year car seat warranty had expired. The contact disputed the claim because the failure had occurred less than one year after the purchase. The car seat was not repaired or replaced. The VIN was not available.Read more

I went to start the car. Got out and shut the drivers door and the rear windshield shattered and fell in. There were no cracks or chips in the window before. Broken glass shards got all in my 7 month olds extra car seat that we use for a stroller. The Nissan dealership we bought the car from said the glass is on back order with no idea when it will be in stock. They put plastic over it and sent us

When turning left (only) and accelerating, there is a distinct "clicking" noise and shudder coming from the front left undercarriage. It can be felt through the steering wheel. I believe it is coming from the CV joint and could lead to failure of that link and loss of steering control.

I am reporting a safety concern involving BMW vehicles equipped with the B58 Technical Update (B58TU) engine, commonly found in model years 2019–2021. These vehicles utilize a variable-displacement engine oil pump containing an internal thermoplastic adjusting component responsible for regulating oil pressure. Field failures are increasingly being reported in which this internal component fract
... ures, resulting in sudden loss or instability of engine oil pressure. The failure frequently occurs during cold-start operation in low ambient temperatures. When the component fails, oil pressure regulation becomes erratic or is lost entirely. In many cases, drivers receive little or no actionable warning prior to engine damage or vehicle disablement. Reported precursor symptoms include inability to electronically measure engine oil level, abnormal oil pressure behavior, or sudden drivetrain malfunction warnings. Failures may rapidly progress to engine shutdown or severe mechanical damage caused by oil starvation. Loss of lubrication can cause the vehicle to become disabled without warning while driving or shortly after startup. This creates a safety hazard, particularly when vehicles become immobilized in active traffic or during winter conditions the cold is when they fail the most, where occupants may be exposed to freezing temperatures while awaiting assistance. Replacement of the oil pump requires extensive disassembly of the vehicle and repairs commonly exceed $6,000–$8,000 for just the pump, assuming the motor is unharmed. Owners are currently unable to determine whether their vehicles contain the original thermoplastic oil pump design or a later revised version utilizing metal internal components, as VIN-based parts information now identifies updated components in the car even when no replacement has occurred and the old components are actually in the car. Also, BMW has actively removed the plastic part number out of all dealer networks as well.Read more
