The vehicle experienced recurring electrical system failures beginning in December 2023. The vehicle intermittently would not start and on several occasions lost power unexpectedly. The vehicle was taken multiple times to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis while still under the manufacturer warranty. The dealership repeatedly reported that no issue could be identified despite the recurri
... ng electrical malfunction. The vehicle battery was replaced more than once within three years, however the underlying electrical issue persisted. In August 2025 the dealership instructed that the vehicle remain at the service center for extended diagnosis. The vehicle remained at the dealership for more than 40 consecutive days before being returned on October 8, 2025. Because the vehicle intermittently fails to start and has experienced electrical system malfunction, this creates a potential safety risk if the vehicle stalls or loses power while operating in traffic. Additionally, the vehicle currently has two outstanding manufacturer safety recalls that remain unresolved after nearly three years of ownership. This complaint is being submitted because the defect remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts while the vehicle was under the manufacturer warranty.Read more

We were traveling across country from Michigan to Arizona. We were 50 miles outside Tucson, AZ on [XXX]. Traveling 80 mph in a 75 mph zone, in passing lane and felt like car exploded and all airbags deployed and we came to a quick stop. No major injuries to either of us. One vehicle incident, did not collide with anything or hit any debris. It was a clear day, road conditions good, no noises, ligh
... ts etc. My husband was able to keep from rolling and we came to a stop with many semi's etc flying by, very scary. When we were able to safely get out and call 911, there was significant drivers side front end damage around tire area and inside near axle. Looked like something broke inside car, sheered off bottom of tire. Police arrived and had to push vehicle on to shoulder of road. He assessed scene and thought it had to be a mechanicla failure as there was no other vehicle or debris on site. We did contact our insurance company and subsequently it was totaled. We also have Toyota investigating what the cause was if it was a faulty part or mechanical failure. We have not heard back but did receive the "recording of time of crash". I have a short video of damage but I'm unable to attach it. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I own a 2024 Subaru Impreza (base trim, FB24 engine). The engine has developed repeated oil leaks into the spark plug wells due to failed spark plug tube seals / valve cover sealing on the same engine. The first occurrence was around 24,000 miles. The dealer found engine oil in the spark plug tubes, diagnosed leaking spark plug tube seals (and/or valve cover gasket), and performed repairs under w
... arranty. At that time, the car was relatively new and maintained on schedule. The second occurrence happened again around 30,000 miles. The dealer again found oil in the spark plug tubes, indicating repeat failure of the same type of seals on this low‑mileage engine. This has already happened twice within approximately 6,000 miles on a 2024 vehicle. Oil in the spark plug tubes can cause misfires, rough running, and potential damage to ignition coils and the catalytic converter. It also raises concerns about stalling or loss of power if the misfires worsen while driving. I am concerned that this may be a systemic defect in the FB‑series engines used in late‑model Subaru vehicles, not normal wear. I am requesting that NHTSA track this issue as a potential safety‑related defect involving engine sealing components (spark plug tube seals / valve cover gaskets) that allow engine oil to leak into the spark plug wells on 2024 Subaru Impreza models at low mileage.Read more

Front windshield cracked on its own. Car was parked in driveway and there was nothing affecting the crack. It cracked on its own. I read many other reviews from other owners facing the same issues. Most of them mentioning that this has happened because of
... the poor installation and some mentioning that even after replacing the windshield it has cracked again. Toyota should address this as a recall asap. For a car that costs $60,000.00 and not being able to install a proper front windshield is very sad to hear it from Toyota. My GM Silverado 2022 with 68k miles was recalled at 60k miles for the P0016 failure code involving the internal components of the L87 6.2L engine. The truck was promptly scheduled for testing and taken into the authorized dealer. The truck passed inspection. A very short time later (approx 8k miles or less) the 6.2L engine had a CRITICAL ENGINE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, the truck los
... t power after alerting a "CRITICALLY LOW OIL PRESSURE, SHUT ENGINE DOWN IMMEDIATELY". The vehicle shut itself down and I was left in a very dangerous situation with traffic and other serious hazards. The truck lost oil pressure and shut down which is a major safety concern as this rendered my GM truck without power; engine shutdown occurred WHILE DRIVING. This is AFTER I was assured the vehicle was 100% ok and NOT defective. It is not only defective, itr had to be towed on a semi truck and left us stranded in an unfamiliar place, again safety is a major concern in this area in addition to the earlier safety issues presented for my truck. It did have the P0016 code, which was found out when towed to the dealer, who also stated that the oil filter was "absolutely full of metal shavings". The dealers shop foreman stated they were going to disassemble the engine and see how bad the damage is as he stated it was VERY SEVERE. So much so that the dealer ordered a completely new engine but have no idea of arrival or when the vehicle will be done/completed. I reported this to GM Corp. office and stated my valid safety concerns but was quickly denied any resolution even in the face oif evidence by the dealer and my repeated efforts to tell them that I do NOT trust this specific truck any longer because it is a safety hazard and has already placed me in harms way. GM is not working to resolve my extreme concern regarding safety of this specific vehicle that had passed the engine recall test yet had a critical engine failure and loss of power while driving.Read more

On 3/3/2026, I brought me JEEP 4XE to the Jeep dealership in Paris, Kentucky to have the 68C recall performed. BPCM software update After picking vehicle up from dealership, I proceeded home via a state highway Route 68 (Paris Pike). The roadway is a 4 lane divided highway and has a speed limit of 55mph. I set my vehicle to HYBRID mode and then placed it on cruise control as I had done numerous times over its 25,000 miles. During the drive there were occasional rolling hills and inclines. I gauged the hills to be about a 1% grade on average but never exceeding 2% grade. During these inclines, the gasoline engine engaged and the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster registered 3000RPM. This excessive engine RPM had NEVER occurred before the 68C factory recall procedure. In all other instances of the engine engaging, the RPM would engage at 2000RPM. I contend that the the engagement of the gasoline engine on these small inclines was NOT warranted and that the excessive RPM's of 3000 is not normal and was never experienced prior to the 68C recall fix. I am submitting this information for review and documentation. Video of the instrument cluster gauge showing the RMP gauage and the display panel showing the engine and battery kW used were taken to document the process. I believe that the engagement of the gasoline engine at 3000RPM will cause excessive wear of the engine and is a direct result of one of the software updates that was used to complete the 68C recall.Read more

While driving approximately 70 mph on I-10 in Louisiana late at night, my 2020 Hyundai Kona EV displayed a “Check EV System” warning while I was on the highway. Approximately 15 minutes after the warning appeared, as I attempted to exit the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost
... power and rapidly slowed. The vehicle came to a complete stop and could not accelerate, move forward, or reverse. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle lost propulsion while traveling at highway speed. The vehicle had approximately 62,000 miles at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed to Giles Hyundai where the dealership diagnosed an internal temperature sensor and resolver failure. Because these components are integrated into the drive system, the dealership replaced the entire traction motor assembly. The repair cost was approximately $9,000. The sudden loss of propulsion at highway speed created a dangerous situation for both the driver and surrounding traffic.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding Hyundai Safety Recall #290 (NHTSA Recall No. 25V893) as it applies to my vehicle, VIN [XXX] . I received the official recall notice by mail on February 13, 2026. The recall identifies a defect involving the tow hitch wiring harness control module, which may allow water intrusion. According to the recall documentation, this defect can cause inoperative stop
... lamps and, in rare cases, an electrical short that could result in overheating or a vehicle fire. Since receiving the notice, I have contacted Hyundai Motor America corporate customer care three separate times seeking escalation and guidance on how to safely address this recall. During each call, Hyundai stated that no repair solution, parts availability, or timeline exists for remedying the defect. Despite the recall involving a documented fire risk and potential brake/stop lamp failure, Hyundai representatives advised me that I could continue driving the vehicle while waiting indefinitely for a remedy. No interim safety measures, inspections, alternative repairs, or mitigation steps were offered. I am concerned that Hyundai is failing to properly execute a federally mandated safety recall and is placing consumers in the position of operating vehicles with known, unresolved safety defects. Being advised to continue driving under these circumstances creates a risk to vehicle occupants and to other motorists. I am requesting that NHTSA review Hyundai’s handling of Recall #290, specifically regarding recall remedy delays, lack of escalation, and failure to mitigate an acknowledged safety risk, and take any enforcement or compliance action deemed appropriate. ... hen the car drove fine. As long as I do not slow down too much or stop. Once I got home and had to back up into the garage, it went through that haywire cycle again. This was the 3rd time this has happened on this car. But after I shut off the engine, wait a little while and start it again, symptom seems to go away, until it decides to happen again. I have had this car since July of 2024, and since that time, I have had this happen to me 3 times and 2 times to my wife. I have read on the net and one of the possibilities talked about if the abs control unit, where soldered wires seems to be melting off of the circuit boards and causing intermittent connection, therefore exhibiting erratic behavior. There are even services on ebay where you can send in your whole abs unit and they will open them up, clean and re-solder the wires. This seems to be scary and concerning from a safety perspective. Please investigate the issue for us who are affected. Occurrences are getting more frequent (almost every other day) and it just happened again today 3/3/26.Read more

While driving the dashboard suddenly showed a message saying Battery Charging Fault error” a few minutes later the car stopped driving while I was on a busy freeway. It had no power and it displayed several messages saying suspension system is disabled, battery issue, cameras disabled. I had try to navigate my rolling car to a side lane to call roadside assistance. It was a very dangerous incide
... nt and needs to be addressed. Land Rover in White Plains NY, diagnosed my vehicle saying the Dc to Dc converter needs to be replaced and they don’t have any in stock. They also mentioned they have 30 customer cars all waiting for the same part. This was scary and I’m grateful my children were not in the vehicle at the time.Read more

Vehicle info: 2019 Silverado 1500 6.2L engine with 66,xxx miles. On 3/1/26 While towing my small snowmobile trailer I was driving on I-90 with cruise control set at 65 mph. Very suddenly and shockingly I heard an extremely loud knocking noise from the engine. I then witnessed several driver info messages stating things like "low oil pressure" "engine power reduced" among others and a check en
... gine light. Amongst freeway traffic and now under no engine power and coasting I made an emergency lane change out of the passing lane and into the right lane and subsequently on to the shoulder of the interstate. Oil pressure was also noted to be very low during these events. I called a friend to pick me up off the side of the freeway and also had a local towing company get my truck and trailer off the side of the highway asap. This was a dangerous scenario and could've ended much worse. The vehicle is now at my residence and I am not sure what steps to take right now. As I am very aware of the current recall on similar models with the same engine. I have followed the issues and complaints of these trucks and suvs with the L87 6.2L engine closely. I was under the impression that my vehicle was not included in the recall and I have always been very diligent about vehicle maintenance. I've been watching my truck closely for abnormal noises, power or oil pressure loss or any other strange symptoms I have not noticed any warning signs. I even recently switched to the new dexos approved 0w-40 engine oil that GM is recommending and/or mandating. This was very sudden and scary scenario. I do have video of the engine noises if theyre. Theyre not currently formatted for this reportRead more

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 11:48am, the rear panel of my panoramic sunroof exploded. I didn’t see or hear anything fall on top of the sunroof, or any part of the car. I didn’t hear a loud noise that sounded similar to a “boom” sound or thud. As soon as I got in my car, I heard a cracking sound coming from the sunroof panel.

Our vehicle passed their inspection required test for the engine recall and then at an intersection just died with absolutely no warning and wouldn’t even start again. Warning light for low engine oil came on. We were stuck and couldn’t even put the vehicle in neutral to be towed out of the intersection. Had to call a flat bed tow truck to load it and take to dealership where it was confirmed

not every time, but several times throughout driving around all day, i notice: the vehicle is in 'eco' driving mode, and while i start to slow down, lightly applying constant pressure to the brake pedal, the vehicle goes from a smooth constant slowing down pace, and all of a sudden, the vehicle seems to surge/lurch/lunge forward at a faster pace, and then a fraction of a second later, the vehicle
... then slows down closer to expected. Im not sure if its an issue with the hybrid eCVT , the regenerative hybrid braking, or the electronic ABS ... or some mixture of these systems. The griffin Ford dealership claims they cant re-create it, and there is no 'fix'. I drive around basically every day, and notice it now at least once to 10 times per day. the current local weather is around 20 degrees, up to maybe 50 at the hottest.Read more
