Engine light for car read codes PO 304 303 420 prior to sale of car per code read out taken when engine light went off shortly after my purchase. Not addressed prior to sale. Asked for brakes/ rotors to be checked. No documented brake
... service given. Stated they were "fine." Taken to local brake place next day that confirmed brake rotors needed repair. Car returned after began sputtering. Reported as fuel injector failure. A known issue with this makr and model that shown codes point to that were given to, and read at service center by mechanic at dealership twice. They did not mention replacing catalytic converter, that is damaged from injectors and an emissions issue at time of call regarding repair report. No brake report or inspection requested multiple times to be checked. Did not follow correct protocol to ensure engine was clear of fuel sprayed by injectors into pistons, intake valves, ect. They placed my self at risk for engine fire, sudden car failure. Consistently mislead and failed to do proper reseach and care regarding car issues and hazards it presented. Being a known issue with this make and model it was a failure to inspect for issue. An emissions failure and violation to allow a damaged catalytic converter to be on road. This issue with the car is in class actionable suit. It is not on the recall list. As it damages the whole car systemi including emissions, it should be forced to be on the recall list so dealerships cannot allow potential harm to their customers as well as violating emission laws.Read more

While traveling on a public roadway under wet conditions, the vehicle was unable to stop within a safe distance despite brake application, resulting in a rear-end collision with the vehicle ahead. The primary concern is that the airbags did not deploy during the impact, despite significant front-end damage. The collision caused severe deformation of the hood and extensive damage to the front-left
... area, including the fender, bumper, and headlight assembly, with visible intrusion into the engine compartment. The vehicle was subsequently determined to be a total loss, which raises concerns about whether the airbag system functioned as intended under these impact conditions. Prior to the incident, there were no warning lights, dashboard messages, or other indications of a malfunction. The issue has not been reproduced or evaluated by a dealer or independent service center due to the extent of the damage. The incident was documented by responding law enforcement, and the vehicle has been reported to an insurance carrier. The failure of the airbags to deploy in a collision resulting in severe front-end damage may have increased the risk of injury to the driver. The vehicle is no longer available for inspection.Read more

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would jerk upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. In addition, the contact stated that on multiple occasions while turning into a parking lot, the vehicle's collision avoidance system would engage while in the vicinity of another vehicle as a warning chime would emit from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to
... a dealer where they initially could not diagnose or duplicate the failure. The contact was asked to come and drive the vehicle herself and she was able to duplicate the failure. The dealer eventually diagnosed the vehicle with a failed transmission and remained in the dealer's possession. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was later informed that they would not replace the vehicle but would replace the transmission. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the dealer's possession. The failure mileage was approximately 50.Read more

Fuel injector randomly went out, I dont have the HPFP recall done on my car. Caused a massive amount of power loss while I was going down the road. The harness adjustment button on my Nuna RAVA car seat has failed, preventing the harness from being properly tightened. This makes it impossible to securely restrain my child. This issue involves the same harness adjustment mechanism that Nuna previously addressed in a voluntary recall, where debris could cause the adjuster to malfunction and result in a loose harness. The seat has not been mis
... used and is within its expected usable lifespan. Despite this, Nuna has refused to repair or replace the seat, stating it is out of warranty. This is a safety-critical failure that directly impacts child passenger safety, as the harness cannot be properly secured in the event of a crash.Read more

At that time they found the middle row left seat belt buckle not latching intermediately and said it was working again. Since then it has still continued to come unbuckled to this day. I have recently received from Hyundai a National safety recall about the issue and it's going back in for a third time now to resolve the issue. As of currently they will not be able to fix the issue because they do not have the parts and do not have an estimate of when they will be available. I also received a new National safety recall for the side curtain airbags in the third row not to the standards and are a safety concern. This vehicle has been a safety concern from the day I drove it off the lot and thank god only that we are good drivers we did not get into a accident the many many times we have been in the vehicle full of people as it could have been catastrophic and even have cause multiple possible deaths due to the failure of these different equipment during a accident. I was driving on the 202 at 80 MPH in the HOV lane and was engaging the cruise control. Pretty soon the car started beeping and it was saying something to the affect that I wasn't in control of the car. I started yelling and gently swerving not understanding what was going on to make it think I was indeed driving. It wouldnt' stop. I was in high traffic bumper to bumper than the dashboard star
... ted blinking and throwing a fit then it said it was going to shutdown the car!!! I tapped the breaks and then it stopped. Then a few months later same thing. Engage the cruise driving on the 202 roughly the same time of day- high traffic, it started again this time I started cussing, waiving my hands all around trying to get the car to know I was driving. It started saying it was going in to emergency shut down. I accidently hit my prescription glasses off my face in a panic and then it all stopped. I went home and googled what happened not understanding what this Forward system does or what it looks at. I had no idea the car was looking for my eyes. If I had been told this we would not have purchased the car in the first place. I have to wear prescription transition lens because I have chronic migraine syndrome. Light is one of many causes of my headaches and I live in the sunniest place on earth. So, I can't have this car. It is dangerous safety defect because t is issuing a false eye not detected alerts while wearing my glasses eventually leading to shutting the vehicle off. This creates a severe hazard, as the system will deactivate cruise control or initiate a sudden breaking at high speeds causing a collision or even death. I can't even drive my own car.Read more

Vehicle Information: 2020 Hyundai Palisades VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 74,212 Hyundai is mishandling Recall 292 (NHTSA 26V034000), which involves a failure to comply with FMVSS 226 and creates an occupant ejection risk. The affected seating position in my vehicle is used by my [XXX] child and is unsafe until a remedy exists. Hyundai has no remedy available and has refused to provide any written safety
... guidance or interim transportation. Beginning 5/29/26, I requested that Hyundai open a new case specifically for Recall 292. Hyundai has refused to open a case despite multiple written requests. Instead, they repeatedly redirected me to phone numbers and generic inboxes, avoiding written communication. They have not answered whether the vehicle is safe to operate, whether the affected seat can be used, or whether they will provide a loaner or rental while no remedy exists. Hyundai also claimed to have sent a Zelle reimbursement on 5/28/26 but refused to provide a timestamp needed for bank verification. When asked again in writing, Hyundai ignored the question and repeated the same deflection responses. Across multiple emails (5/29, 6/1, 6/1), Hyundai ignored every recall‑related question, refused to provide written guidance, refused to open a case, and refused to address the child‑safety implications. This appears to be a pattern of procedural and substantive non‑compliance with recall communication requirements. I previously had to involve the Maryland Attorney General regarding Hyundai’s handling of another safety‑related issue on this vehicle, indicating a broader pattern of evasive behavior. My 2022 Hyundai Palisade recently blew the engine due to very little oil (6 quarts). My wife stated that she was driving when it started to act weird. Very shortly after that she heard the vehicle making a loud knocking / banging sound. She stopped the vehicle and turned it off in the nearest parking lot. We had the vehicle towed to our certified mechanic to have it looked at. 6 quarts of oil was
... put into the engine before it was full. Both him and my wife stated the vehicle never showed a check engine light, low oil light or oil pressure problems. He stated the vehicle had no leaks. He advised us that Hyundai/Kia was having problems burning oil. This is a high risk and safety concerns since there was no warning, happened suddenly and could cause problems for people to find a safe place to pull off the roadway and interstate. So many things can happen if someone didn't hear the noise or have lights indicating a problem, therefor if this happened on the interstate people could struggle getting to the shoulder when engine locks up. Also, a piston or connecting rod can be ejected from an engine risking the safety of pedestrians on foot or driving down the road.Read more

*Wife litely drives this car avg 4k miles a year* She left the house for the grocery store the other day and after the first stop light, noticed the brakes were engaging on their own. Luckily she called me before going any further and damaging the pads and rotors, or worse - causing a fire or having an accident. I slowly drove it home and inspected fuses, brake fluid and checked online resources f
... or anyone with similar issue. Turns out this is common? Very dangerous. Have never experienced this issue with any other car make. I had the car towed to HQ Hyundai (local dealer in Sanford FL) to address 2 open recall bulletins on this car. They immediately forced me to accept a $200 inspection fee (key ransom) just to do the recalls - siting safety of staff!?! They were informed that the brakes were remaining engaged and that they needed to disconnect the battery, but they left it in the tow yard over the weekend. I am sure they will try to sell us a battery now. Very upset with the response to this extremely unsafe issue, that we didn't cause from excessive, hard driving.Read more

The vehicle has experienced repeated transmission and Electronic Oil Pump (EOP) failures resulting in loss of propulsion, loss of acceleration, and transmission-related malfunctions. The vehicle currently has approximately 69,000 miles. On September 3, 2022, the vehicle lost propulsion while traveling approximately 31 MPH in traffic and would not respond normally to accelerator input. This create
... d a dangerous situation and increased the risk of a collision. On the same date, while backing out of a parking space, the vehicle displayed a "Shifter System Malfunction" warning message and unexpectedly stopped while in reverse. The vehicle had to be powered off before it would operate again. Following these incidents, the vehicle was towed to a Hyundai dealership and the transmission was replaced in September 2022. Despite the transmission replacement, the vehicle continued experiencing issues involving the same system. The Electronic Oil Pump (EOP) was replaced in 2023 and again in 2024 due to recurring transmission-related concerns and diagnostic codes. In 2026, the check engine light returned and the vehicle was again diagnosed with a transmission-related failure. The dealership determined that the transmission requires replacement for a second time despite the previous transmission replacement and two separate EOP replacements. Internally, Hyundai has since revised its repair guidance for this condition, suggesting that prior repair procedures may not have fully addressed the underlying defect. The repeated failures of the transmission and EOP system despite multiple repairs suggest an underlying defect that has not been corrected. These failures create a significant safety risk because the vehicle can unexpectedly lose propulsion or fail to accelerate while operating in traffic. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.Read more
