Oil Pan Inspection: Has the oil pan been removed to inspect for metal shavings or debris? If the connecting rod bearings failed (the recall issue), there will likely be metallic debris in the oil, regardless of the condition of the water hose. 3. Bearing Clearance Test (BCT): Was the mandated Bearing Clearance Test performed? If not, I request that this be done, or that a teardown be performed to inspect the rod bearings specifically. 4. Causal Link: Can you provide evidence that the water hose failed causing the engine to seize, rather than the engine seizing causing a pressure spike that damaged the cooling system? I am reporting a serious and unresolved safety defect involving a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4x4 (VIN: [XXX] ) with approximately 34,000 miles. The vehicle has experienced repeated power steering warnings and functionality issues, and on multiple occasions (approximately three incidents) has unexpectedly shifted itself into park while actively driving. The vehicle was in the dealership for over three weeks between January and February 2026, at which time a repair was confirmed before the most recent occurrence. Despite ongoing repairs, the issue has not been resolved and no permanent repair path has been identified. The vehicle is currently back at the dealership with no confirmed resolution. The most recent incident occurred on 3/18 when the vehicle shifted into park while in motion, requiring a restart in the roadway. Shortly after arriving at my destination, the battery died and the vehicle became inoperable and required towing. The combination of electrical issues, including power steering warnings and a dead battery, along with the vehicle unexpectedly shifting into park, creates a significant and unpredictable loss of drivability and presents a serious safety risk. The Forward Collision Assist system applies hard braking when there is no danger. This happened twice today at low speeds (1-2mph) Once in a drive through and once in traffic in a parking lot. Luckily, the truck behind me did not rear end me. My concern is what if it starts doing this at higher speeds? I feel it is dangerous.

... ng happens. I take it to an auto repair shop because it's cheaper and the mechanic says he deals with these same issues with other customers who have similar year, make, and models. This pattern continues to this very day. It broke down while I was working my 2nd job. I have a daughter. She plays sports. I have a second job. I need this problem completely alleviated as quickly as possible. Like a lot of the American public, I don't have extra money to keep up with anything beyond the normal maintenance of my vehicle. I keep it up to date with all oil changes. What can you do to get me a vehicle I can trust and it not break down every couple months and cost $300-$600 each time? I don't have good credit (I'm working on that) I have medical issues that I have to visit my doctor for every 3 months. I have the loan through Capital One and they don't offer refinancing. My father who has passed was a car salesman his entire career. I just need reliable transportation and if it's a motor problem like they say then I shouldn't be liable to fix it. I was driving in a parking lot and heard a “pop” sound like a balloon breaking. The Ionic 5 lurched and stopped. A red circle appeared on the dash and said “check electrical system.” I slowly maneuvered the car into a parking spot because there was very little power and turned off the car. I called the Hyundai dealer and they told me to have the car towed to the dealer in Palm Springs, CA
