I was driving at night when I got a headlight system error message on my instrument panel and I noticed my driver side headlight was not on. A few seconds later the light came back on and a minute or so later it went off again and came back on and I got the error message again. It came back on and has worked pretty much since but I have seen it flickering at night on a few occasions. The next da
... y when it was light out I looked at both headlights and noticed a lot I mean a lot of condensation inside the headlight assembly. I know some fogging and some light condensation is normal on these LED lights but the amount inside the driver side headlight is not normal. And I was lucky enough to have the error and light go off and on in a fairly well lit area so thankfully I was not in an accident or driving on road that’s not well lit. There’s clearly a defect in the sealing of the headlight that’s allowing that much water in. And not having a headlight working because of an error caused by water that can disable my visibility especially on the driver side to due to the headlight not being sealed properly. There is not physical damage like a crack or anything in the housing of the headlight. And since the whole headlight needs to be replaced since it’s LED that’s $2200 before labor. And there didn’t appear to be anything wrong with the headlight no condensation when I looked at it on the car lot when I bought it on 3-4-26. I tried to have my Nissan dealer repair/replace it using the Endurance Apex Unlimited warranty I bought when I purchased the car but they won’t cover it due to a faulty seal. I’ve seen a couple post about the same side headlight on others 2019 Maxima’s with the same issue so this doesn’t appear to be a one off. And I would think headlights going out from moisture and condensation causing errors to the electric contacts controlling the headlights would be a serious safety issue that could potentially cause bodily harm or even death from an accident.Read more

While operating my 2021 Honda Civic Type R (VIN: [XXX] ) in high-ambient temperatures (approximately 95°F), the vehicle experienced a sudden and total loss of motive power during acceleration while exiting a busy intersection. This resulted in an immediate engine stall in the path of oncoming traffic, creating a severe risk of a collision. Following the stall, the vehicle was extremely difficult
... to restart. Once restarted, it entered a 'limp home' mode with a severely restricted RPM limit and multiple dashboard warnings, including 'Emissions System Problem' and 'Rev Match System Problem.' A diagnostic scan performed immediately after the incident revealed a DTC P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low). The symptoms—thermal-related failure, stalling under load, and the P0087 code—are identical to the documented mechanical failures of the Denso fuel pump impeller swelling defect. Although this production year and model are known to be part of the expanded fuel pump recall population, my specific VIN is not currently showing as 'remedied' or 'open' in the manufacturer's database. I am reporting this as an active, unaddressed safety defect that poses an unreasonable risk of crash or injury due to unpredictable engine failure in traffic. I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (Recall 78C) on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which has now been open for approximately 139 days without a remedy. This recall involves engine manufacturing contamination that may lead to catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and potential fire risk. Despite the seriousness of the recall, Stellantis has failed to provid
... e a remedy and has given conflicting and unclear guidance regarding safe operation. At one point, I was instructed to operate the vehicle using the gasoline engine only. I was later told Stellantis cannot provide technical guidance and to contact the dealership. The dealership has stated they have no clear direction from Stellantis. As a result, I have no clear understanding of whether it is safe to operate the vehicle, use electric mode, or rely solely on the gasoline engine. Restricting use to the gasoline engine also prevents use of the plug-in hybrid system, meaning the vehicle cannot be used for its intended purpose, resulting in increased fuel costs over several months. I have also incurred out-of-pocket rental car expenses during recall service. Stellantis indicated reimbursement would be available but has not provided a process or responded to follow-ups. Given the nature of the recall and lack of guidance, I cannot determine if this vehicle is safe to transport my newborn child. At this point, I am concerned with both the unresolved defect and the manufacturer’s failure to provide consistent safety direction, communication, or a path toward resolution.Read more

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned Mazda CX-70 that exhibits intermittent and unpredictable steering behavior, creating a significant safety concern. The steering will intermittently stiffen and then pull the vehicle left or right without driver input, at times toward oncoming traffic or the breakdown lane, requiring immediate correction. On straight roads, the vehicle does not consistently track a
... nd will drift unpredictably. When driving over minor road variations (such as small bumps or frost heaves), the steering wheel may jerk suddenly in the opposite direction. The vehicle also intermittently behaves as though lane-keeping assistance is active—auto-correcting relative to lane lines—despite all lane assist features being turned off. In multiple instances, the vehicle has tracked erratically along lane lines or navigated slight curves without driver input. The issue occurs unpredictably but is more pronounced on rural or uneven roads and during initial driving, though it can persist on highways as well. The issue caused several near miss accidents-twice it sent my vehicle careening into oncoming traffic; another time it tried to drive me back toward a pedestrian I was driving around intentionally. Driver has to be at constant heightened attention to avoid accident. Multiple repair attempts were made, including replacement of the steering column. The condition temporarily improved but returned and worsened. During the final repair attempt, dealership foreman, master technicians, and manufacturer technical support were involved, and the condition was ultimately deemed a “characteristic” with no repair available. The vehicle remains unrepaired and unsafe to operate. The dealer is refusing to supply the customer with any details of the repair order and diagnostic work that was done. Yes. The vehicle has experienced multiple critical system failures, most notably involving a defective SX6 module, which is a central control unit responsible for coordinating key electronic, safety, and communication systems. Its failure has led to widespread issues, including persistent warning messages, driver assistance malfunctions, MMI system instability, and ultimately a complete high-volta
... ge system shutdown while driving. The repair is extensive, requiring full module replacement, software programming, and system recalibration across interconnected systems. The vehicle has remained inoperable due to significant delays in obtaining this part. This defect appears to be widespread among this vehicle’s make and model, as evidenced by numerous owner reports and forum discussions describing similar SX6 module failures with limited long-term resolution. The vehicle and all affected components are available for inspection upon request. The safety risk has been severe. The lane keep and lane centering system has shut off abruptly at highway speeds without warning, causing the vehicle to drift or swerve out of its lane and creating a high risk of collision. More critically, the vehicle suffered a complete high-voltage system failure while driving on public roads, resulting in a sudden and total loss of power without warning. This creates an extremely dangerous situation, as the vehicle cannot maintain speed or safely respond to surrounding traffic, significantly increasing the risk of an accident. Yes. The issues have been reproduced and confirmed by an authorized dealership, which also diagnosed a failed module requiring replacement. No. The vehicle and its components have not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or other third parties. Yes. On March 18, 2026, while driving a leased Honda Prologue in rush-hour traffic on a major highway in [XXX] , the vehicle suddenly shut down and would not restart for approximately two minutes. The incident occurred without any warning messages, alerts, or notifications and created an extremely dangerous situation. At the time of the incident, traffic had been stop-and-go for approximately three mi
... les. Without warning, the radio turned off, all dashboard lights went dark, and the vehicle lost power and stopped moving. I attempted to restart the car multiple times, but it would not turn on. On approximately the seventh or eighth attempt, the vehicle finally restarted, allowing me to safely pull off the highway. Fortunately, the slow-moving traffic prevented a rear-end collision with vehicles behind me. I began leasing the vehicle this past summer, and at the time of the incident it had fewer than 2,600 miles on the odometer. I took the vehicle to the dealership that same evening. During their inspection, the dealership identified several “Lost Communication” diagnostic trouble codes in the vehicle logs. The most significant code identified was B1B42 – Start/Stop Switch Not Plausible. The service team also noted that the manufacturer’s troubleshooting checklist references codes B1B15 or B1B15 2A; however, those codes were not present. Based on the findings, the dealership replaced the S38 Start/Stop Switch. I resumed driving the vehicle two days ago and have not yet experienced any further issues. However, I remain extremely concerned about the seriousness of this failure. If this same issue were to occur again at higher speeds or in faster-moving traffic, it could result in a severe accident. The complete loss of power without warning represents a significant safety risk and warrants further review. Tires are LT275/65R20. While driving on interstate at approximately the speed limit and low 80 degree temperatures in South Carolina with proper placard pressure tire inflation checked two days prior, the truck developed a faint vibration which got worse over three or four miles. I slowed my speed and pulled over at next offramp and visually inspected truck for signs of vibration. Including loo
... king over tires. It seemed like a drive line issue, however truck is a 2021 model with only 38,000 miles. After I could not find anything out of place I got back on the interstate to see if problems still existed. I was only traveling at 45 mph and vibration was getting worse, so I tried to slow and make it to next offramp when the driver side tire blew out causing me to have to quickly react to prevent having an accident. The tire tread and multiple parts of the truck inner fender guards and liner were thrown out into traffic and truck bed side is badly damaged. Prior to blow out there were no warnings on the dash board to to indicate any sort of issue and I verified tire pressures when I stopped after the vibration initially set in. The TPMS system was working properly at the time of the blowout. I have the tire if further inspection is warranted. My safety was at risk when tire blew out on the interstate along with vehicles traveling around me to avoid hitting the flying debris and tire tread. Further this was driver side tire and I had to change the tire on the side of the interstate with traffic right beside my vehicle. I called GMC and they said they would do nothing to help because they see tires as a maintenance item and truck is out of warranty period. I am a mechanical engineer having worked many years for major tire company as a tire design engineer. I am very familiar with load ratings, tire wear, life expectancies, and I believe theis tires failed prematurely. I bought this truck new and have always had tires properly inflated a never overloaded.Read more
