I am submitting a safety complaint regarding the driver assistance system (ProPILOT Assist) in my 2024 Infiniti QX80. The behavior of this system creates a potentially dangerous driving condition. When ProPILOT Assist is engaged, the vehicle consistently delays braking until the last possible moment, then applies sudden and aggressive braking rather than smooth deceleration. This creates a high r
... isk of rear-end collisions, especially in moderate to heavy traffic where gradual speed adjustments are expected. In addition, the lane-keeping function appears unstable. The vehicle tends to drift or “hug” one side of the lane instead of maintaining a centered position. At highway speeds, the system makes abrupt and overly aggressive steering corrections, even when the vehicle is already within lane boundaries and at a safe following distance. These sudden inputs feel unnatural and reduce driver confidence, requiring constant manual correction. Overall, the system behavior is unpredictable and does not align with reasonable expectations for a driver assistance feature. Instead of enhancing safety, it introduces unnecessary risk by combining delayed braking with aggressive steering inputs. This issue occurs under normal driving conditions on clearly marked roads and does not appear to be an isolated event. Given the size and weight of the QX80, these system responses could lead to serious accidents if not addressed. I request that this issue be investigated, as it presents a significant safety concern for drivers and others on the road.Read more

Several complaints can be seen across many different Honda forums that indicate several years including 2018 - 2023 of the Honda Odyssey are affected by similar issues when the front multi-purpose camera fails. At startup my vehicle dash immediately lit up with several Warning indicating the disablement of multiple systems: LKAS, EBA, ACC, Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure, Automatic High-Beam. In my case, physical inspection revealed the camera outer shell to be extremely hot to the touch necessitating a rag to reduce risk of burn while handling. It's interesting to see that Honda has issues a recall for the back camera which is not tied to many or any other systems at all due to a faulty cable, yet the front facing camera which directly affects Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, Collision Mitigation, Lane Departure Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Automatic High-Beam, has not received a recall despite the many complaints brought forth. It is clearly a defective component that affects many other systems which can lead to potential crashes under the right circumstances. Our 2024 Carnival has had a recurring engine oil leak that has required the vehicle to be left at the dealership 4 times for the same issue. Each time we get the van back the repair lasts about 1-3 weeks (depending on how often it's driven). Oil continues to leak from the engine area, creating risk of engine damage or a potential fire hazard if oil contacts hot components. The issue has not been r
... esolved despite repeated repair attempts under warranty. The Carnival has 38,092 miles on it, and has been in the repair shop over 4 times. The 1st time it was put in the shop the van has 34,420 miles on it. Each time it has been left at the dealership for 9 - 17 days while the repairs were made. We have brought it to the same dealership each time and they have been very sympathetic and helpful. Not only does this issue cause the risks mentioned above, but it has ruined the concrete in my garage as well as added oil to the roadway which could cause an accident. I have all the repair orders from the first 3 repairs that I will attach. However I do not have thee current one because the vehicle is currently being repaired for the 4th time and I haven't received the finalized repair order documents. I can update this claim once the repairs are completed. I will be contacting Kia tomorrow and wanted to have a claim number started.Read more

My 2021 ID.4 has experienced two separate incidents of sudden, unintended forward acceleration while parking. In both cases, I was maneuvering at very low speeds (less than 5 mph) and transitioning from a stopped position, or from reverse into drive, with the intention to move forward only a few inches. But instead of creeping forward as normal, the vehicle suddenly jerked forward approximately on

This is a safety concern and may be related to steering wheel capacitive touch controls, possible unintended activation of adaptive cruise control (ACC) or “resume” function, or erroneous or overly sensitive input from the steering wheel control module. No warning signs or messages appeared prior to the failure. Luckily, no one, including my young children, stood directly in front of the vehicle during either of the incidents; otherwise, they may have incurred serious bodily injury or worse. I was also luckily unharmed in both incidents. I am immediately taking the car to the dealership for a full inspection.Read more

This involves a rental from AVIS at Orlando International Airport that I picked up on the 24th of March. It took me a little over one minute to find the pinch bolt in the knuckle joint, where the steering column joins to the steering rack, was completely missing. Realising how dangerous this was, I contacted AVIS, who asked me to drive the car some 30 miles to their nearest depot/office, which I declined to do, telling the vehicle was dangerous in it's current condition. They brought a replacement car on a recovery lorry and took the first car away. I told the driver that the car he was taking should not be put on rental until the issue was sorted.Read more

Replacement and required recalibration costs are extremely high, commonly reported between $1,500 and $2,500. My 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe (VIN starting with 5NM) began experiencing a significant failure of the air conditioning system during its third year of ownership. ... s of this model year as they reach the 3-to-5-year mark. Despite being a documented manufacturing issue, there is currently no recall or warranty extension for this expensive and vital system. The failure of the AC system in a high-humidity environment like South Florida creates a severe safety hazard: Loss of Visibility: Without a functional AC compressor to dehumidify the cabin air, the interior of the windshield fogs over rapidly and completely during rain. This occurs even when the defroster is set to maximum, as the system cannot remove moisture from the air without refrigerant. Driver Impairment: In extreme Florida heat, the cabin temperatures reach levels that cause heat-related fatigue and stress, compromising the driver’s ability to remain alert and react safely to road conditions. On several occasions during heavy Florida rainstorms, the windshield fogged so severely that I had zero visibility of the road ahead. Because the AC system had leaked its refrigerant, the defroster was unable to clear the glass. I was forced to pull off the highway in dangerous conditions because I could not see other vehicles or lane markings. This defect prevents the vehicle’s primary visibility safety equipment (the defogger) from performing its required function.Read more

The informatic system is completely unusable when this happens and is pretty much every time you use the car when the weather is over a certain temperature. (NHTSA Tracking Number 11726105) I am updating my existing complaint regarding my 2024 Hyundai Tucson (NHTSA Tracking Number 11726105) for an ongoing safety concern involving an intermittent warning chime while driving. This issue began shortly after I purchased the vehicle in Nov 2025 and has been reported to the dealership multiple times over several months. The warning chime occurs randomly wh
... ile driving without any visible warning message or dashboard alert. This creates uncertainty because I do not know what the vehicle is trying to warn me about, which is distracting and creates a safety concern while driving. The dealership previously replaced both front seatbelt buckle assemblies after identifying intermittent high resistance as a possible cause. However, after that repair was completed, the warning chime occurred again while I was driving to the dealership for a follow-up visit. This confirmed that the issue was not fully resolved. I immediately returned the vehicle to the dealership, and they are now performing further diagnosis. I was advised that if the issue reoccurred, the next possible areas for diagnosis could involve the instrument cluster or the control module, both of which are safety-related systems connected to warning alerts and seatbelt functions. In addition, during this same visit, the dealership confirmed there is an actual oil leak requiring repair. This is significant because when I first raised this concern after an outside inspection in December 2025, I was told it was likely leftover residue from a prior oil change.
