Vehicle purchase on 3/18/2026 with 17 miles. At 30 miles the SOS button started flashing red, then green, then red then no light at all. I called dealership and was made to think it was no big deal and that a dealership has to reset. I also let them know my info center was freezing. Plug for phone charger almost fried my phone. Was so hot my phone turned off, turning off my navigation. So my phone was off, navigation off and SOS button not working. I have a Honda Accord Sport 2018 Engine 1.5L Turbo(1.5T) Mileage- 97,776 I am reporting a suspected premature head gasket failure which is affecting my vehicle and my mechanic told me this has been going on for a while now with the Accords around my year model. The anti-Freeze is leaking inside the cylinder 2 and 3 which is causing the misfires. The check engine light which is blinking is causing safety concern due to potential power loss and the risk of stalling while driving. This issue appears to be widespread among vehicles equipped with the 1.5T but also around the years of my vehicle. Honda dealership brought it to my attention during the last recall, and my personal mechanic (independent service) diagnosed my car and mention the same thing. The dealership inspected the vehicle and acknowledged brake/rotor-related vibration but classified it as normal wear and tear and declined warranty repair. Inspections by Others: The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Volkswagen dealership. No police or insurance inspections were involved. Warning Lamps or Prior Symptoms: No warning lights or dashboard messages were displayed prior to or during the issue. The only symptom is severe shaking and vibration during braking, which began around 33,000 miles for 2024 ATLAS. On March 14 2026 i was driving from [XXX] . To [XXX] to have my tires checked because i felt a strong vibration on my steering column and truck itself, it was getting worse so i took it to my mechanic who does my regular maintenance on truck. After inspecting tire ( [XXX] 55 R20) was called over and shown that my front passenger side tire had a flat spot, it looked deformed mechanic informed me
... that the tire had separated from radial. And i need to get another tire right away, since there was non in stock we did the next best thing we took the front passenger tire the affected tire put it in the back and put the rear good tire up front. The next day i was on my way to purchase the replacement tire when the tire blew out. I was on a heavily traffic road [XXX] . I managed to take control of truck doing about 40 mph at the time and drove it off the road to a safer spot to look at damage. Well the passenger rear tire witch was originally on the front that had the separated radial blew a chunk out of the inner sidewall. I put on the spare and went and replaced the tire with another goodyear new tire. On march 28 as i was coming home from [XXX] late at night the driver side rear tire blew as well again had to put on spare and next day took to local mechanics in [XXX] , and checked tire and again i was told that the tire separated from radial and that was the cause of blew out, they inspected all the tires at this point since this was the second tire from the same DOT set with less then 12000 miles that had separated. Well they found a third tire that had aldo separated and had a flat spot on driver side front tire, now there are 3 tires from the same set, coincidence, i dont think so i replaced the second and third tire. One the third day April 1, 2026 the passenger side front tire blew as well, now i have 4 tires that had radial separation with less then 12000 miles and less then a year old, in a mater of a month. Timeline of Events: Initial Purchase: November 2022 (61,000 miles). First Failure: September 2023 (~75,000 miles). The estimated cost per McGrath Nissan Dealer is $8,000, I am unable to afford this service so the car was towed back to my home until able to get resolution. Issues with Nissan’s Resolution Process: Premature Part Failure: The transmission installed by Nissan in 2023 should have a reasonable life expectancy beyond 31,000 miles. A secondary failure this soon suggests a defective replacement part or improper initial repair. Safety: Luckily, my husband was stopped at a traffic light when the transmission failed. However, had to receive help to push the vehicle out of the busy intersection. There was no warning message displayed on the dashboard prior to this incident. The car was towed to a Jeep dealership who told me it just needed a cylinder pack and it was only $1,000. They kept the car for a week and didn't answer calls until we went over there. The service manager told us we did in fact need a new engine. This is where I bought the car and I still owe $6,000 on it and now I'm looking at a $8,000 job. ... ther was clear and sunny, and road conditions were normal. This created a serious safety concern because the vehicle lost power while traveling at highway speed in traffic and could have caused a crash. The vehicle did restart after the incident and was not towed, but it had to be taken in for service after the power loss/stalling event. The dealership later advised that the oil was low on the dipstick and stated they would change the oil and complete a recall/service update. However, I have maintained the vehicle with regular oil changes, and at the time of the incident, the vehicle’s oil life monitor still showed approximately 50% oil life remaining. I do not believe this should be dismissed as a simple lack-of-maintenance issue. I am concerned that the sudden loss of power/stalling may be related to an engine, fuel, oil pressure, electrical, ECM, or recall/service campaign issue. I am also concerned that the vehicle was low on oil despite regular oil maintenance and the oil life monitor still showing about 50%. The vehicle is currently at Tyrell Chevrolet for inspection/service. I have not yet received a clear explanation of the cause of the power loss, whether diagnostic trouble codes were found, whether oil pressure was affected, whether oil consumption was checked, whether any recall or service campaign caused or corrected the issue, or whether the truck is safe to drive. This sudden loss of power while driving at approximately 75 mph presents a serious safety risk and should be investigated. ... safe distance as I was slowly cruising towards them. The car engaged the automatic brake even though the pedestrian was clearly out of harms way. There two incidents have occurred within 2 weeks of purchase of my car. There is a feature to temporarily turn off automatic brake, but resets with each restart of the engine making it inconvenient to apply. Also, it is easy to forget to apply each time you start the car. I’ve also read since my incidents other reports of Hyundai drivers saying the disable feature does not always work and automatic brake engages. I feel that the automatic braking is a HUGE safety risk for driver, passengers, pedestrians and other vehicles on the road. I frequently drive to another state via highway to visit my mother and a now terrified to drive that distance considering all of the accelerations and decelerations involved with highway travel. I feel completely unsafe in my new vehicle. Please review and encourage a software recall that completely removes automatic brake or allows drivers the option to disable and enable at will.Read more

At about 9700 miles I noticed a popping noise in the steering wheel when it was turned left or right after driving for a few miles and it could be felt in the steering wheel. The popping sound got worse and on July 7, 2025 I took the car to the Honda dealership I bought it from at 11, 900 miles and the master mechanic confirmed the sound and stated the steering rack needed to be replaced. ... done over 4 days but several months later the popping sound that could again be felt in the steering wheel returned. I contacted the Georgia Attorney General Lemon Law division and was advised that because it was a safety defect I should give Honda a Final Repair Opportunity Notice under the GA Lemon Law which I did on Oct 24, 2025. Honda ignored the Notice and the Attorney General Accepted the case for Arbitration which is set for May 29, 2026. In preparation for arbitration, I discovered that at least 3 other complaints have been filed with the NHTSA about the exact same safety issue I have experienced. I do not know how these complaints were resolved but concerning one of them, the steering rack was replaced like mine and the popping sound from the steering returned. Honda therefore knows of this safety defect but has continued to ignore my Lemon Law Complaint and request for discovery of internal Honda information concerning this defect. I have severely limited driving of this vehicle to short trips at slow speeds to my law firm and cannot drive it at highway speeds for fear of steering failure.Read more

The steering is unsafe, my neighbor works at a ford dealership and said it’s the rack, which I also read online that it’s become a common problem, the steering has become very stiff. To the point where I have had to slam on the breaks at curves in the road just to be able to turn into the bend, which has almost caused two incidents.

My vehicle had oil consumption problems that were fixed with a new replacement engine now my catalytic converter is going bad due to engine oil consumption problems and the dealer I deal with is refusing to help with this issue.
