My mechanic told me and supplied paperwork from their scans that the P0420 sensor in the cat converter was shot again (3x in 5 years) and needed to be replaced. I took the car to the dealer because the codes was reading engine assembly issues. I took it to the dealer and they stated it was the knock sensor and they got it approved to replace it now they saying it's the engine and it was denied. I just got the engine from the dealership in 2020

For the past 1.5 months my oil light has come on intermittently. This is odd because the vehicle has regular oil changes still not due for almost 2000 miles. 4 bottle of oil was added recently. Today the car stopped working while on the NJ turnpike when checked there was no oil in the engine.

The ICCU on my Ioniq 5 failed without any warning from the car or mobile app. All recalls were performed on the vehicle prior to it failing. I was unable to charge the vehicle on level 1 or level 2 charging. The dealership replaced both the ICCU and fuse on the vehicle.

There is an intermittent problem with the transmission. It’s impossible to predict when the transmission will slip. When navigating traffic, it has happened multiple times trying to pull out across oncoming traffic, and the transmission begins slipping so badly in a couple of instances nearly causing a side impact. Vehicle has been repaired due to broken valve. Vehicle was unsafe to drive. Valve burnt at 70 mph. Car threw misfire code P0303 and started shaking. This issue could have caused an accident. 12 V battery died after being plugged in to charge overnight. The 12V battery was replaced in May 2024 due to a similar issue. It seems that the ICCU recalls and software updates have not been fixing the problem.

The car's paint is peeling all over. The roof was repainted in 2018, the hood and side door in 2024 and now the the roof supports on each side and trunk are peeling . While driving a big piece of white paint flew to my windshield blocking the driver's view. It stuck under the wipers when used to remove it. Passenger side rear seat (40% side) is missing all mounting bolts required to secure seat to vehicle. I purchased the vehicle as a preowned unit and noticed squeaking and a rattle coming from the rear seats. Upon inspection, I discovered that the seat is only resting on the floor and with little effort the seat can be dislodged.

Windshield wiper in auto mode. Sometimes wipers turn on automatically in bright sunny days with nothing on windshield. When it rains, sometimes automatic wipers will not activate until windshield is completely covered with rain, and visibility is greatly reduced. Sensitivity adjustment has zero effect.

"check turn signal error". This message pops up at random times. When this error does pop up, the rear turn signal ceases to operate until the error message clears itself. Dealership "cannot duplicate". I have photographed the warning many times. Hyundai corporate is of no help. Check LED headlamp error issue as well.
