Had the time of day been different, I probably wouldn’t be here today, and some others probably wouldn’t be either, at least lots of injuries I’m sure. It hasn’t been confirmed, i don’t even know how to do that honestly, I was the only one in the car. I didn’t call anyone/say anything until right now because I was already running late for work, I was shaken up but I just called my parents and they said to look up recalls/file a report, which it seems like this is how I do it? There were no warning signs, nothing, I was driving for already about 30 minutes and everything was fine, never had any issue like this ever before. Like I said I’ve had this car for almost 2 years and she has been an absolute dream, aside from this mishap. But now I am very terrified to drive it, i don’t know what happened honestly, I don’t know what could have caused it, but this is why I hate smart cars. The locksmith asked my permission to disassemble the WIN module to inspect it for the cause of the problem and he said that there was a bad contact point inside that was breaking connection and causing the shutdown. I had to pay $1000.00 for these parts and service and I no longer have access to the module that was originally in my car since he took it apart. While the trailer was sitting in my sideboard on asphalt 5 days later, the tire in front of the one mentioned above blew! This time it blew the fender off the trailer and across the road. Again the same damage is seen to the tire with about 10" of the belt/tread blown off and the interior portion of the tire has a gash from sidewall to sidewall. Will now be replacing all the tires as this is very worrisome to a single woman driver. I am concerned how I would have handled my 32' trailer at hwy speeds of 60-65 mph. Neither incident caused any damage to other drivers luckily. First tire was replaced by Les Schwab Tires and employee was surprised as the tires looked brand new to him with extensive damage seen. My 2025 Certified Pre-owned, 10 day old truck with approx. 6200 miles, was parked and I was unable to shift into reverse (as if in neutral). I put the truck in drive and entered the highway. About half a mile later, multiple warning lights appeared and the truck slowed, unable to shift out of gear. Luckily, there was a dealership a few miles away so I drove the truck there slowly and on the should

After the repair, which only took a few days, the dealership was test-driving the truck when the powertrain completely seized. They attempted to restart the truck but burned out the starter and fuse block which was also replaced. After a GM engineer gave the mechanics permission, they dropped the transmission to find that it was completely seized and had also seized the engine, though the engine was reportedly not damaged. The entire transmission was replaced and the truck was returned to me with about a month of downtime. This was a clear safety issue as the truck stopped working while on a highway. Luckily, I was in a heavily populated area where help was available. The transmission was returned to GM for further inspection and the repair was fully covered under warranty. Prior to the incident, there were no warning lights/messages, but only appeared after the issue.Read more

Had I been made aware of these recalls I would have taken immediate action but again, I was not ever notified.
