Not sure what failed. At around 8:30 am on a sunny clear day the driver was maneuvering slowly up a ramp between first and second floors of a parking garage at the college campus where the driver works. Driver paused the vehicle and slowly turned to the right to park in an open spot about halfway up the ramp. There was a large concrete pillar to the right of the parking spot and a low steel cab
... le wall at the end of the parking space along the inner structure of the garage. While turning into the space, the driver described suddenly feeling "a loss of control of the vehicle" wherein it "felt like it was in neutral and wouldn't stop". The car hit the wall with extreme force, enough for resulting in minor injuries, damaging the frond end and a total loss to the vehicle. The force was enough to rebound the car back approximately 30 feet from the wall after impact. No help or warnings from the collision detection mechanisms was apparent. In a single prior time during the tenure of ownership (approximately 6 months) the collision detection system had intervened and manually stopped the vehicle on its own due to a car that had erroneously driven in front of the vehicle too closely. The car's lane assist successfully kept itself in lanes on most occasions. Several software related notices on the car dash had been reported during the tenure of ownership and in no case was the dealership able to figure out what was wrong in any of the scenarios, one of the software notices on the dash did end up just "going away" after some time.Read more

Presently this vehicle has 57,000 miles on it. It began having issues with a drivetrain malfunction warning back in 2021. Reported on complaint # 11427753. I have had this car seat for 1 year and 10 months and I just found out that the headrest foam piece is split in half (06/26/2025). It has been handled with extreme care and I got it in September of 2023. It has stayed in my specific car and the only reason I found the problem was because I was cleaning them off. It is the third Chicco car seat to have found the foam headrest either broken in half

While traveling on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost all power. The gas pedal became unresponsive, and the engine ceased functioning entirely—without any prior warning or indicators. I was forced to coast into a nearby parking lot to prevent a potential collision. This incident put both myself and my child at serious risk of injury or worse, had it occurred at a higher speed or in heavier t
... raffic. Once stopped, the vehicle would not restart. I had no choice but to have it towed to the dealership for evaluation. A week later, the dealership diagnosed the issue as a locked-up engine, confirming that a full engine replacement is necessary. Unfortunately, the replacement engine is currently on backorder, and they are unable to provide an estimated time of arrival. To make matters worse, the dealership has no loaner vehicles available for at least a month. GM only offers a rental reimbursement of $44 per day, which is significantly below the cost of even a basic rental vehicle in our area ($74/day). This leaves me with limited transportation options, even though I am currently making monthly payments of over $1,400 on a vehicle that is completely unusable. Adding to the severity of this situation, the vehicle is also subject to a manufacturer recall, but no remedy or parts are currently available to resolve the issue. As a parent of multiple children, this entire experience has left me shaken. I cannot begin to imagine the consequences had this failure happened at a higher speed or in less forgiving conditions. I am extremely concerned for my family’s safety going forward. GM has stated they will not extend or provide additional warranty coverage until the repair is complete, which leaves me feeling unprotected and anxious about the future reliability of this vehicle. The absence of warning signs and the total loss of power while driving make this a critical safety concern that must be addressed. I urge NHTSA to hold the manufacturer accountable.Read more

Over the past 5 years, this vehicle has experienced three major powertrain failures: two complete transmission failures and, most recently, a catastrophic engine failure. The most recent issue involved the engine burning excessive oil without warning. While my wife was driving downhill, the vehicle shut off completely, causing a total loss of power steering and braking. She was barely able to get
... it safely to the side of the road. It was a serious safety risk, especially with children in the vehicle. Each failure has occurred well before it should in terms of mileage, and despite repairs, the issues continue. After this third failure, Hyundai offered to cover only 50% of the repair costs—which seems to acknowledge some degree of corporate responsibility—but we declined, as this is a relatively new vehicle and the problem is clearly systemic. We paid the second total transmission replacement completely out of pocket. A quick Google search and outreach to social media revealed that hundreds of Hyundai owners (across multiple models from this era) are experiencing very similar engine issues, many with official recalls for consumption, but there being no official recall or widespread support for Palisade owners. Personal stories suggest a clear pattern. The original dealership that sold the vehicle listed it as Certified Pre-Owned, but has since changed ownership and retains no records, which has made verifying the warranty status impossible. Hyundai corporate and customer service have been extremely difficult to work with—there are multiple active case numbers, no internal communication, and the local dealership doesn’t coordinate with national reps. This vehicle has spent over 100 days in service across these failures. I’ve tried every route available—dealership, corporate support, and online forums. The community is unsafe, and without broader action, other families could be at risk.Read more

My auto has a problem with the brake light on the drivers side not working at some times. The issue seems to happen almost every 6 months or so. The first time it stopped working, I took my auto to the dealership where i purchased it from costing me about $65.00, the second time 6 months later the brake light went out again. The bulb was replaced by the dealership at no charge, I was told that th
... e bulb was put in wrong. The brake light is now out again. I noticed that it may come on but when I press the brake pedal and release the emergency brake, it goes out and stays out until I shut the auto off for a long period of time. Often it will be on when I'm driving and then it goes out.Read more

Blew horn at someone who cut in front of me, and horn sounded rough, then the same driver cut me off again, blew horn, NO horn. Also, headlight burnout issues. Had to replace the driver's headlight 39 weeks ago. Week or two after that, the left side went out, and about a month later, running bulb went out on passenger side. Well, the headlight just blew again, same day as the horn, just had to rep
... lace that again - $25 a pop at Auto Zone! I've read there were horn recalls on the '20-'22 models, just not on the '23...WHY!??? Electrical in windows not working as they should, very slow to stuck halfway up or down...unfortunately the only thing covered in a purchased warranty is electrical screens, radio, GPS, maps, cruise control, etc... And WHY are my headlights always burning out? Electrical issues for sure! There should be a recall on these horns for the 2023 model as well!Read more

My truck on a few occasions suddenly down shift hard and on its own without warning, it could very much have cause an accident and could have been deadly at highway speeds, at the same time the speedometer would go to 0 and quit working, as well as multiple warning messages would pop up on message display. IE out of fuel, air system failure, orange wrench, Etc. Then after some time everything wou
... ld go back to normal operation until it randomly did it again. This is a major safety issue for drivers and passengers as well as other vehicles around. At the dealer they gave me a print out from 2019 that states it was a safty recall 19S07 but the dealership said it was only a technical bullet not a safty recall and dealers not responsible for the cost but will reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with updated calibration -Requires using IDS software release 113.06A or newer (internet connection needed) -No replacement parts needed—this is a software fix But in truth, this dose not fix the problem. Online research show that in most cases the dealership has to remove main control and replace LEAD FRAME. (Located internally in the transmission) like they did on my SUV as well. The cost is over $1,500 and Ford and Lincoln are down playing the danger and by making customers pay out of pocket since it is not an official safety recall from the nhtsa. This out of pocket cost may lead to people not repairing the faulty system. This could have and could be causing accidents or maybe even deaths..This is crazy not to be a full safty recall... Sudden downshift at highway speeds could be extremely dangerous for everyone. Ford/Lincoln should be held responsible for the faulty part and repair for safty purposes.Read more
