Again, accident avoided only because the oncoming traffic passed before car slid forward. Lastly, trying to get home safely and shaken badly, I come to another intersection. I'm the first car with 4 cars behind me. I'm completely stopped at a red light. The light turns green, I attempt to accelerate to move through light and the car shuts down again. All lights on dashboard light up, the emergency brake is automatically engaged and I spend the light cycle trying to get the car to restart. I had to release the emergency parking brake, put car in park, try to push start button. Last steps repeated more than once. Thank goodness the cars behind me were paying attention and didn't drive based on the light being green. There was no warning for any of these events. It was extremely scary and I don't trust the car to drive it further. I'm having it towed to the dealership for inspection. This is a 2025 with 636 miles on it and about 8 incidents regarding safety since purchased less than 2 months ago.Read more

... he dealership stated that two additional tires were determined as no longer being able to be road force balanced within spec and needed to be replaced. It was then suggested that all 4 OEM Pirelli tires be replaced with a full new set of Michelin tires. Shortly thereafter, the rough ride and vibration issues cropped again and it was determined that all four Michelin tires would no longer road force balance within spec and they were replaced with an all new set of four Michelin tires. Those tires have now been road forced balanced twice more, with tires needing to be rebalanced. Even though the dealership service departments have tried, no underlying suspension issues have been identified as causing all these tires to need rebalancing. I have even taken my vehicle to an independent tire shop to assess if tires are out of balance, and they verified that they were and performed a road force balance on them, however within a matter of weeks the tires needed to be rebalanced again. In total, in the 4 months that I have had this vehicle, it has been at the dealership service department for more than 25% of the time with no determination as to what the underlying cause of why tires need to be rebalanced so frequently, or fail to the point that they no long rebalance and need to be replaced.Read more

I have to do it manually. It’s not communicating with the car. The gearshift just all of a sudden locks up and dash reads to put it in Park before I can put it into gear to proceed further. My vehicle was recently subject to a recall to fix a long-standing issue, where the rear camera fails to display on the centre console screen when the vehicle is placed in reverse. Once the vehicle is placed in reverse, the screen flashes and then displays the message "Camera is temporarily unavailable". I reported this to Polestar when it first occurred, and they advised I update the software.
... This didn't fix the problem I've since received a recall notice and again updated the software (to version 3.6.4). The problem still persists (daily). The software fixes aren't solving this issue and the recall should be investigated and re-issued with an actual fix.Read more

Reverse camera does not come on sometimes. When it does come on it can take anywhere from 5- 30 seconds to finally come on. On 10 May 2025 the car engine stalled at an intersection and would not restart. Had the car towed to the nearest Ford Dealership (Five Star Ford - Plano, Texas). The dealership repaired the failure by replacing the low pressure fuel pump. Failure is similar to 25V442000.

When I got there I could not believe my eyes and thanked God that I and even more my daughter made it home safely. My mechanic of 35yrs in business said we were lucky we didn't end up in the woods on the highway and that the entire rear k member/ frame is completely rotted out and the rear tires could have flown off at any moment. I have read that there is a recall on this issue but not in the salt belt states. That is ridiculous and is an excuse to not have to back your vehicle. We live in Dartmouth MA and have barely had any snow in the past 10 yrs to salt for and even if we had this hasn't happen to any other vehicles we own. 2003GMC, 2006 Saab and my wifes Jeep all gd. Whats the point of getting a safety check during the annual inspection when you know your frame is junk and its a death trap!How in good faith can you not back your products when this is clearly a major issue. There was an earlier recall for the reverse camera failing while vehicle is put in reverse, which was fixed by a recent software update. While the frequency of the issue is reduced after update, it is still occurring randomly when car is reversing out of garage, instead of rear camera view, vehicle screen displays "Camera Temporarily Unavailable" message.

Hydraulic roller lifter failure. Very common these pickups . Mine went in for a ticking noise hydraulic roller lifter failed got stuck in the bore. They replaced all 16 they test drove it stuck exhaust lifter #2 they replaced that lifter and the camshaft. Engine still has a very loud clatter and ticking noise. Did not do this when it was brand new
