I recently put my boat in the water with my 2022 Toyota Tundra at local boat launch. When I put the boat in the water my truck registered a quarter tank of gas. After launching and loading the boat my truck registered a full tank of gas and would not reset or adjust the fuel gauge once it was on a level surface. I found several complaints on the Toyota forum regarding the fuel gauge improperly rea
... ding a full tank after being on an incline and not adjusting once on a level surface. I was forced to disconnect the negative battery cable to reset the fuel sensor. Fast forward the truck was at the dealer on 7/28/2025 for the engine replacement. I asked them to look into the fuel gauge sensor issue and was advised that there is a Toyota TSB for the sensor and it needed a computer reflash, but would not do the reflash at their expense. This is a safety issue that if not corrected may cause individuals to run out of gas while in motion on the highways causing the vehicle to stall causing a collision or road hazard.Read more

The bike will no longer downshift reliably. This jeopardizes the rider because the inability to select a lower gear to slow the motorcycle using engine braking and when arriving at a traffic light or an intersection that requires a lower gear to pull out from a stop safely into traffic. This has not been verified yet by a professional but I have an appointment in a few days from now (on August
... 5, 2025) with a local Triumph dealer to inspect and correct the issue. After some internet research, this downshifting issue/gearbox failure appears to be common among certain Triumph Bonneville models manufactured after a certain date. The bike did not and does not provide any indication when the failure to downshift will occur. There are times when gear selection functions flawlessly but then unpredictably will occur again during the same ride.Read more

I was driving and I stopped at a stop sign. When I got ready to go, the car stalled and stopped and wouldn't start. After 30 minutes, it started but I ended up having it towed. And it did not shift higher than 9th gear while cruise control was engaged even at lower speeds. The transmission then began to experience harder shifting, and gained a shutter like a clutch pack not engaging properly form 1-3rd gear, and sporadic shifting under light normal driving conditions at random intervals and remains to now have a normal operating temp of 204 degrees under normal driving conditions. We do not own the vehicle anymore, but I just learned of recalls for this issue and wanted to make sure I submitted this as our lives were significantly affected. In July 2023, on the way home from a trip, we began to hear knocking in the engine and shortly after the check engine light began flashing. We got to the closest mechanic, and they suspected an issue with rods due to metal filings in oil
... . We had it towed 2 hrs to the closet Honda dealership. Garcia Honda in Albuquerque, NM. After days in a hotel and the dealership making the repairs they thought it was, we were told it was ready to go, they just needed to do a test drive. On the test drive, the engine lights come on again, and on closer inspection, they too heard knocking, and diagnosed engine failure due to rod issues and told us we needed a full engine replacement. We were still 9 hours from home and had missed work for a few days, and being dejected and overwhelmed that we still did not have our car to get home, we made the snap decision to purchase a new car there and “trade in” the odyssey for the bare minimum. We mentioned to someone today that we had a Honda with engine failure, and they brought this recall to our attention. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The dashboard of my 2011 Toyota Camry has melted and deteriorated over time. The surface has become soft, sticky, and shiny, likely due to prolonged sun exposure and heat. This is a known issue in this vehicle model. The dashboard is still in my vehicle and is available for inspection upon request.
... How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The melting dashboard creates a glossy, mirror-like glare on the windshield, especially during the daytime or when the sun is directly hitting the dash. This glare significantly reduces my ability to see the road, traffic signals, other vehicles, and pedestrians, particularly when turning or driving toward sunlight. It makes everyday driving more dangerous and increases the risk of an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The issue has not yet been officially confirmed by a Toyota dealership or independent mechanic, but it is clearly visible and consistent, and I have taken photos documenting the condition. I plan to have it formally inspected. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by Toyota, the police, or any insurance representative. However, I am willing to provide access for inspection by the manufacturer or any other relevant party upon request. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning lamps or messages related to this issue. I first noticed the dashboard becoming sticky and shiny around June 2023, and the glare and surface deterioration have steadily worsened since then, especially during the summer months or after the car is parked in the sun.Read more

I’m reporting a Power Transfer Unit (PTU) failure on my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4. I recently took the vehicle in for inspection after noticing performance issues, and it was diagnosed with a failing PTU. After researching this problem, I found that Jeep has issued a recall for PTU issues on certain 2014–2019 Cherokees, but my vehicle is not included in that recall. This is frustrating be
... cause I’m experiencing the same exact issues described by those whose vehicles were recalled—loss of power to the wheels, difficulty accelerating, and major safety concerns when driving. My Jeep has around 90,000 miles and has been well cared for with no prior major mechanical problems. This is the first significant issue I’ve had, and it’s a serious one. It’s clear this problem is not isolated to just the VINs currently covered under the recall. Jeep’s response so far has been to deny responsibility based on recall limitations—even though the defect is clearly present in my vehicle. I believe more owners are going to experience this same failure if their vehicles haven’t already, and they’re being left to pay for something that should be covered. I’m asking the NHTSA to investigate whether the scope of this recall needs to be expanded. This is a known defect, and there is no reason owners like me should be excluded from repair coverage just because our VINs didn’t make the original list—especially when the symptoms and failures are identical.Read more

The recall was related to a malfunction in the safety camera system, which could potentially lead to severe accidents and endanger the driver and passengers. Despite this open recall, the vehicle was still certified and sold to me without any disclosure of the safety issue. I only learned about the recall after experiencing a problem with the camera system and independently seeking service. This violates the core standards of manufacturer-backed CPO programs, which clearly state that no certified vehicle may be sold with an unresolved safety recall. Now the corporate Care Manager wants the DPF replaced for $6K b4 proceeding with any further testing to identify the source of the acceleration problem. The shop mgr, Joseph, was test driving & the car did take off and was not stoppable with the brakes. That was confirmed, yet VW of America is still in a holding pattern and cannot explain why this is happening. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY PROBLEM. I am submitting a formal safety complaint regarding a known but unresolved software defect affecting the oil life monitoring system in the 2024 Ford F-150 (non-Lightning models). Ford has internally acknowledged the issue in Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 25-2331, dated July 18, 2025, but has not issued a recall or public notification to affected owners. Summary of the Defect: The vehicle's in
... strument panel cluster (IPC) reduces the reported oil life to 0% in less than 1,000 miles, even under normal driving conditions. Ford attributes this to flawed software logic in the IPC module. The oil life monitor is a critical engine maintenance indicator relied upon by vehicle owners to prevent premature wear or catastrophic engine failure. Faulty or misleading oil diagnostics can result in: Drivers disregarding future oil life warnings, assuming they are incorrect Operators running engines with degraded oil beyond safe limits Loss of trust in onboard diagnostics, affecting broader vehicle safety behavior Avoidable mechanical damage, particularly for owners following the vehicle’s built-in guidance Ford’s TSB instructs dealers to reprogram several modules, including the IPC, APIM, BCM, GWM, and TCU, but only if a customer complains. There is no recall, no public campaign, and no direct owner communication. This leaves potentially thousands of vehicles on the road with faulty maintenance guidance—and owners unaware of it. Why This Warrants Recall Action: This is not a cosmetic or comfort issue. It is a misrepresentation of core engine health diagnostics that, if followed blindly (as owners are instructed to), could cause premature engine wear or failure.
