I drive a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. This occurrence has happened on three separate occasions and each time it was raining outside. The first occurrence, my vehicle was running and parked in the rain after driving approximately 5 miles. While parked my check engine light came on with a series of warnings: service ECS, service traction control, forward collision system unavailable, reduced acceleration
... drive with care. Two days later it went away. The second occurrence, I was driving in the rain for approximately 22 miles and briefly parked with my vehicle running. I then turned out of a parking lot and began to accelerate to speed up and the check engine light came on along with all the same messages, this time my vehicle acceleration had seized and wouldn’t go faster than 30 MPH. I slowly drove back to the parking lot and turned the vehicle off to let it sit, disconnected the battery and reconnected, and the issues went away. The third occurrence, I was driving on the highway in the rain for approximately 10 miles, I went to merge into a right hand lane, I took my foot off the acceleration peddle to slow down for the merge and as I slightly turned the wheel to the right, my vehicle spun out three times, throwing the back end of the Tahoe into the inner highway wall, which spun me again to face the right direction, next to a highway exit. I then went to accelerate to exit the highway but noticed my vehicle would only coast and realized my engine had cut out at some point. I started the vehicle and exited the highway and parked in a parking lot only feet away from the exit. After I parked I noticed all the same warning lights came back on. Each occurrence happened on [XXX], [XXX], [XXX]. My vehicle was towed to Gunn GMC Collision Center in Selma, Tx and will be looked at on September 3, 2025 around 8:00am. The computerized "Safety" features on this car can not be turned off. They pose a hazard in a number of ways from when the car is stopped to driving on multi-lane highways. For instance, the adaptive cruise control is linked to an over the air network. If that link is "cut" by going through the mountains, cruise control suddenly quits; this has happened while passing a vehicle over a mountain p
... ass. When attempting to pull out from a parking spot, another driver stopped to wait for me because they wanted my parking spot. My car stopped by itself, sounded a loud noise, steering wheel shook, my wife screamed at the noise, and I had to shift out of reverse and shift back into it and attempt to leave the parking spot. When driving in the mountains on curvy mountain roads, my eyes shift around a great deal to keep on top of the road and traffic conditions. This sets off the "its time to take a coffee break" announcement with accompanying dinging. This continues every few minutes until I am out of the mountains - it is distracting at the least. If the adaptive cruise has slowed the car down because of slower traffic ahead, and after a car passes in the outer lane, you pull into that lane to pass the slower car; but when you do, my car accelerates quickly to bring the speed up to the speed set on the cruise control. If the car that just passed is too close, this acceleration sends us hurling toward the other car. I would like the ability to turn these "safety" features OFF. But that is NOT POSSIBLE with the 2025 model - while it was in earlier models. Though I recently purchased this car, I am investigating other cars to replace it almost immediately because I want to be able to drive without these "safety" features making poor decisions and putting my life in danger.Read more

On [XXX], the GV80 experienced a complete electrical system failure (dashboard lights began flashing and eventually went black, display screen went black, steering wheel locked and brakes were hard to engage), all while my wife was driving on a major highway in rush hour traffic. The dealership claims this electrical system failure was caused by improper battery cable hookup, but this is incorrect
... . I have time stamped photographs showing a wiring harness that was already burned before any battery cables were connected. I also have documentation proving when the tow truck was dispatched to the vehicle’s location. Dealer Findings *Service advisor stated that there was improper procedure from someone hooking up cables to wrong posts and burning the wire(The issue occurred prior to any battery cables being connected ) -*Wiring harnesses are burned and damaged, creating excessive resistance *The condition is causing a dangerous buildup of heat *Multiple fuses have already blown and required replacement *The dealer explicitly advised that the vehicle is not safe to drive and could cause a fire at any moment Safety Risk This level of electrical damage is not consistent with ordinary wear or misuse. It represents a serious safety defect: • The failure rendered the vehicle completely inoperable. • The failure occurred while driving and resulted in a loss of steering and difficult braking, creating a severe risk of crash and injury. I purchased a brand-new Hyundai vehicle on [XXX] from Dublin Hyundai. Since purchase, the vehicle has exhibited repeated, serious defects that compromised the safety of my [XXX] baby and family. Timeline of Events: [XXX] – Vehicle purchased new. Safety concerns arose within weeks of ownership. July 16, 2025 – Vehicle dropped off for major issues: camera display failures, heads-up display malf
... unctions, and random security errors. Vehicle remained in service for over two weeks. August 2, 2025 – Returned with the check engine light on and a scratch on the deck. August 3–4, 2025 – Dropped off again; dealership instructed that the fuel level must remain between 50–70%. August 11, 2025 – Dropped off again; a loaner vehicle provided was unsafe — gear shift failure, body control system errors, infotainment failure, and inability to lock the vehicle. This put my baby’s safety at direct risk as the loaner could not be secured or reliably driven. August 19, 2025 – Vehicle returned with new scratches and multiple issues still unresolved. Late August 2025–Present – Vehicle was relocated to San Jose without my consent. I only know its location from the Hyundai app, which frequently alerts: “Battery level is below normal. Please check that vehicle lights and accessories are switched off to avoid battery drain.” I have not been provided proper updates from Hyundai or the dealership. Safety Risk: Repeated mechanical and electronic failures in both the new vehicle and the loaner. Vehicle is unreliable, unpredictable, and unsafe for transporting a young child. Manufacturer and dealer have failed to provide a safe, operable vehicle despite multiple repair attempts. I am filing this complaint because these issues pose a serious safety risk to me, my infant child, and other drivers on the road. While driving my 2022 Hyundai Tucson at highway speed, the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered with a loud “explosion” sound. There was no road debris, overhead structure, or external cause, and no warning lights or prior symptoms. The glass shows a central hole with spiderweb cracking radiating outward, which is consistent with a manufacturing defect in tempered glass panels, not an im
... pact. The sunroof shade was closed, preventing glass from entering the cabin, but this failure created a serious safety risk to occupants and nearby drivers. This matches numerous reports of Hyundai panoramic sunroof failures and is similar to the pattern documented in NHTSA Investigation PE13-017. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by Hyundai but is available for inspection. Incident occurred on [XXX], while driving from Monroe, Louisiana, to Atlanta, GA, shortly after departure. I called Greenway Ford who told me it was covered under warranty but when I got there they advised me that my vehicle was not part of the recall. My 2017 Ford Escape has a coolant intrusion/ engine failure. Check engine light came on. The car started shaking. I did some research and this is a common issue within my car’s year, make, and model but there has been no recall fo
... r it. There is a code CSP 21N12 for this issue. Yet when I put in my VIN it shows no recalls for my vehicle. I contacted Ford and was told again there is no recall. I have the eco boost 1.5L. It matches the make, year, and engine for the problem. My car is misfiring, white smoke from exhaust from cold start, and having coolant loss with no dripping on the ground. This is a known flaw that Ford has been aware of and has a technical service bulletin out for this issue but, after contacting Ford, they will not help with engine replacement. I am making payments, I purchased this car so I can attend college, I also have a job and now I have no car. The vehicle is not repaired because they are quoting too much and I believe Ford needs to issue a recall and repair this known to them issue. I am still having to make payments on a car that is just sitting here. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.Read more

Vehicle: 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk VIN: [XXX] Recall: Manufacturer #01C / NHTSA #25V-011 Complaint: On January 16, 2025, FCA US (Stellantis/Jeep) issued a recall (01C, NHTSA 25V-011) for 2017–2019 Jeep Cherokee vehicles due to improperly seated input shaft snap rings in the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). The recall summary itself acknowledges that this defect can cause uncontrolled input shaft
... movement, spline damage, and/or range fork damage, leading to loss of motive power while driving or loss of PARK function while stationary — both creating a serious crash and injury risk. The recall notice states that the remedy will be a reprogramming of the Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) with software to detect excessive wear and replace the PTU if needed, along with a warranty extension. However, as of this filing, the recall status for my vehicle remains “Incomplete, Remedy Not Yet Available.” Owners are being left to drive vehicles with a known risk of sudden power loss or loss of PARK, and Stellantis has failed to provide a timeline for the remedy, a loaner vehicle, or interim safety protections. This constitutes an unreasonable delay in providing a remedy to a recognized safety defect under 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301. I request NHTSA investigate Stellantis for failing to make the remedy available in a timely manner, and to compel the manufacturer to expedite corrective action.
The internal water pump system on the EcoBoost engine in the 2018 Ford Explorer failed after 7 years and only 63,880 miles. The vehicle was taken into the shop multiple times when the check engine light came on and the defect was not located until the vehicle failed. Due to the design, it is not easily fixed and cost an outrageous amount of money to fix for a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles
... . This is a safety risk because if this is a common issue, which it is, and the engine fails while driving it, the driver is not able to get to a safe area to address damages and is left stranded. There are numerous complaints regarding the design flaw of having the water pump inside the engine. The manufacturer refuses to address the flaw. The check engine light came on and was taken in and wrongly diagnosed each time until the engine failed.Read more

My truck is under the national recall from GMC for the 6.2L engine problems. I even received the recall notice from GMC stating this. This truck has been in and out of the shop for engine problems things I took delivery of it in 2022. The latest was in April of 2025 and while it was in the repair service at the dealership, the national recall came out. During that time the dealership tried to tell
... me the problem was with my exhaust system so I was not covered under the recall. I knew they were not being truthful so I refused to take possession of the truck as I new it had all the symptoms that GMC was describing in my recall notice. My truck sat at the dealership for almost 5 months and last week they force me to take possession of my truck my taking back my "loaner vehicle". They stated "my truck passed the required inspection", which I knew they were being dishonest, but was forced to take the truck back anyway. Three days after taking possession I was on the interstate doing 60 mph and the engine totally seized up and almost caused an accident from the vehicles behind me running into me because of the sudden decrease in speed. I was able to safely pull over and had to get towed back to the dealership. This incident is beyond just a engine recall now because they new my truck was not safe to drive and forced me to take back my truck. Im just thankful I was driving and not my wife, or having my two grandchildren in the truck with me. To make mtters worse in this scenerio, this truck is actually my replacement truck because my 2021 truck had to be taken back per the Lemon Law in 2022, so this will now be truck #2 being Lemon Law and my original truck loan isnt even paid off. I have all of the various engine repair paperwork on this truck dating back to 2022.Read more
