Description of Problem: Since purchase, this vehicle has exhibited severe safety defects, including sudden and repeated engine shutdowns at highway speeds, loss of power while driving, dashboard malfunctions, steering lockups, service ESC, dynamic steering torque service required, service hill holder, false fuel gauge readings, service airbag reading, transmission warming sign, and emergency b
... rake engagement without command. These failures have occurred multiple times and forced me off the road to avoid collisions. They mirror known recalls on this model year and create a clear risk of injury or death. Attempts to Repair: The selling dealer (Coral Springs Pre-Owned Superstore) and an authorized Jeep dealer (Arrigo Jeep in Margate, FL and Arrigo Jeep Tamarac,FL) have repeatedly failed to identify or repair the issues despite video evidence. They claim they cannot replicate the malfunctions, though the vehicle continues to fail monthly. Safety Concern: The Jeep Compass shuts down without warning at highway speeds, leaving me stranded in traffic. This is an immediate hazard and should be investigated as a systemic defect. Requested Action: Investigation into recalls/defects on the 2018 Jeep Compass, enforcement of repairs, and accountability for dealerships that continue to sell unsafe vehicles.Read more

Vehicle (2019 GMC Sierra SLT X31!Crew Cab 6.2 l gas engine) stopped running while driving down the road (Wednesday [XXX]. Tried to start truck - would crank over quickly but failed to start ( crank no start with no check engine light.) tried several times same result. Started after about 5-10 minutes and was displaying low fuel indicator even though we knew it had approximately 1/2 tank. We immedi
... ately put gas in it and it took approximately 1/2 tank to fill. Still no check engine light and confirmed no stored codes via onstar report. Drove the truck around for may 1hr and check engine light came on but was still running and did not stop running like it did earlier. On star reported ECM SYSTEM CODE P129F ( Fuel pump or fuel pump power control module). Long story short, put truck in independent repair shop I use. They diagnosed it was a defective fuel pump located in fuel tank. They told me GM technical support recommended to replace the fuel pump and fuel pump power and control module at a cost of ~$1325.00. It is my opinion this is a safety hazard and very similar if not exactly the same failure symptoms / modes as others have already reported. I requested to keep the failed parts and still have them in my possession. Please review and let me know if you need or want additional information . My 2024 Ford Mustang is affected by Recall 25C43 / NHTSA Campaign No. 25V546 concerning water intrusion into the Body Control Module (BCM) that may cause exterior lighting failure. The dealer provided me with a written refusal, stating they “will not be able to perfor

By refusing inspection, the dealer has left me driving a car at risk of safety-critical lighting failure. I am reporting a potential safety issue with my 2020 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. On September 4, 2025, my dealership identified a non-genuine purple quick-splice connector in the driver’s door harness, which they attribute to error codes B1142 (Driver’s Door Lock Knob Switch Circuit), U0199 (Lost Communication with Driver’s Door Module), and U3003-16 (Electric Servo Brake Control Unit Power
... Source Low Voltage). This connector, not installed by the recent audio installer who put only upgraded speakers and deemed non-Honda, may be an aftermarket modification (possibly an alarm/tracker or anti-theft device) causing electrical faults. While no water was found, the issue could impact brake assist (U3003-16), posing a safety risk. I request NHTSA investigate whether this reflects a widespread manufacturing or modification defect, especially given reports of similar quick-splices at dealerships for repos or fleet locking. A Reddit user said, “ We see these at our dealer frequently. Those are quick-splices, usually used to piggyback off your oem wires to supply voltage/signals to an aftermarket alarm/tracker. Other dealerships install this in the event of repos/auto locking an entire fleet/or additional anti-theft.”Read more

I am writing to express my concerns regarding my 2022 Highlander. As a loyal Toyota family, with this being my fourth Toyota, my husband’s second, and my parents’ fifth, we have consistently valued the Toyota brand and our dealership in Bryan, TX. Recently, I brought my Highlander with (73,000 miles) to Family Toyota in Arlington due to a whining sound during acceleration. I was informed that
... the transmission requires replacement, at an estimated cost of $8,291. Furthermore, the transmissions are currently on back order, which would leave me without my vehicle for several months. While I have not found any official recalls addressing this specific issue, I have noted that this is a common concern with this model, and there are several class-action lawsuits pertaining to similar transmission problems across various models. I have also sought opinions from two independent transmission repair shops, both of whom have quoted a full transmission replacement. I contacted Toyota several times on what options may be available to me. They so far have left me with no rental car assistance and offered a very small discount on their known issue. I have already incurred approximately $800 in rental car and diagnostic expenses and am unable to cover the $8,291 replacement cost. It is disheartening to have owned my Highlander for less than three years, be unable to drive it, and still owe $20,000, which is not what I associate with the Toyota standard of quality. I now can not get to work and have a $47,000 piece of junk in my driveway and not even an apology from the company I once thought was #1 in customer service and reliability.Read more

I have researched and googled this issue online, and there were hundreds and hundreds of comments from Honda car owners that have faced this issue, especially Honda and Acura models made in 2019-2020. Many have bought a used camera unit for approx. $150 online and got it installed & calibrated. Others have said that this camera unit is so HOT to the touch since it's located under the windshield. I agree with a lot of these Honda/Acura owners that this malfunction of this camera is a safety issue for the car drivers and others around them since these codes just pops out suddenly making the drivers so nervous during driving. Also, these cameras under the windshield get so, so hot that it could also start a combustible hazard. These units should be encased in a heat-tolerant case/cover and not metal.Read more

The passenger seat Occupant Detection System (ODS) sensor failed, turning off the airbag and illuminating the SRS light. This is a known safety defect covered by Subaru recall 19V701 / WUM-98 for 2015–2018 Foresters built through August 1, 2017. My vehicle, a 2018 Forester XT Touring (VIN [XXX] ), has the same defect but Subaru and NHTSA do not list it as part of the recall. I waited nearly a y
... ear for the replacement seat to arrive, and Subaru of America only offered $500 goodwill assistance. I paid about $900 out of pocket for the repair. Given that this is a critical airbag safety system, I believe this vehicle should have been included in the recall population. As I was driving home from work, a loud POP went off under my car, and sirens began to go off. I was given a critical error, and told to immediately contact a dealership. My car began to slow, and would only go 25 mph. Luckily for me I was within a few miles of a dealership, but if I wasn't so fortunate this would have been a much larger issue. The ICCU has failed, despite already getting Hyundai'
