I was riding on a suburban street and ran over a branch I did not see due to rain and darkness. I went back and looked at the incident and the branch did not seem like it was that big but I quickly lost power and my car stalled and I could not get it restarted. I later found out that that branch took out my hybrid battery connection under the car which rendered the car useless. It is a 5000 fix.
... I don't know why such an important part is exposed under the undercarriage of an AWD SUV. I was traveling at 27 MPH. If I had been on a highway it would have been very dangerous to have stalled out so fast. Once it was stalled the battery drained very fast from me running my hazards so that the tow truck driver had to jump it to get it to go from neutral to park and my parking brake is electric so I couldn't activate the parking brake either. I would also like to say that the headlights on this car are severely underpowered.Read more

The vehicle has multiple critical, uncorrected safety defects: Loss of Motive Power (RQ24012), Engine Contamination (CSN 78C), and Battery Fire Risk (Recall 68C). Incident Details (R/O [XXX], [XXX]): My 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe experienced a sudden and complete Loss of Motive Power while operating. The customer concern noted on the Repair Order states the vehicle "seems to loose power while driving
... above 30MPH... and feel like it was going to turn off." This failure rendered the vehicle inoperable and created an extreme safety hazard on a major roadway [XXX] ), forcing me to coast to safety. Component Failure and Safety Risk: The failed components are the Engine (2.0L Turbo), Hybrid Propulsion System, and Electric Coolant Heater (ECH). The dealer's repair (R/O [XXX]) confirmed system instability by replacing the ECH. This loss of power is directly linked to the manufacturer's known defect (CSN 78C), where sand contamination in the engine can cause catastrophic failure and unrecoverable loss of propulsion. This mechanical defect is the root cause of the safety risk and is currently under NHTSA investigation (RQ24012). Additionally, the vehicle is subject to Recall 68C (Battery Fire Risk), preventing safe use of the PHEV system and forcing me to park away from structures. The combination of these uncorrected defects puts both my safety and the safety of others at risk. Warning Lamps: A 'Service Hybrid System' light or similar warning message appeared at the time of the incident. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer (Price Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram) and is documented in Repair Order [XXX]. The component is available for inspection upon request. Vehicle has frequent and persistent “Front Camera Fault” warnings appearing on the dashboard, which result in continuous alerts and the disabling of key safety features including the Brake System, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM). These warnings occur under all driving conditions, i
... ncluding clear weather and unobstructed roads. The dashboard fault warnings appear on nearly every vehicle start, and all Honda Sensing feature indicators flash continuously while the vehicle is in operation. Because continuous multiple warning lights flash on dashboard, it is difficult to determine which alerts are genuine and which are false. This is thus a serious safety concern that warrants a formal recall. A diagnostic scan by dealer informs an error code of U3000-49 that is front camera needs to be replaced at a cost of $1,900, excluding a non-refundable diagnostic charge of approximately $190. Due to the exorbitant cost if no extended warranty purchased, owners reporting this do not proceed with the repair and continue to experience this ongoing safety issue.Read more

Complaint Description On Tuesday October 28th, 2025 while driving to work, my 2024 Chevy Silverado LTZ suddenly went into limp mode during normal driving. The truck would not go into reverse at all. I had to use OnStar to call a tow from my residence because the vehicle was not safe or able to be operated. The truck has been at the Chevrolet dealership since that day and as of today (November 7th
... ) it still has not been repaired. The service department confirmed it is a failed transmission valve body. Research shows this is a recurring and known issue on many GM trucks and GM does not appear to have a permanent fix yet. Component/System that failed: Transmission Valve Body failure. Component is currently located at the GM dealership and is available for inspection. Safety Risk: This failure caused sudden limp mode, loss of power, and inability to reverse while in active traffic. This put my safety and potentially other drivers at risk due to sudden unexpected deceleration and inability to maneuver safely. Problem Confirmed: Yes. Confirmed by GM dealership service technicians. Inspection: The vehicle is currently at the GM dealership. No manufacturer field rep, insurance, or police inspection has occurred yet. Warnings / Codes Present: The failure occurred without prior early signs that morning. When it failed, OnStar diagnostics reported: P2732: Transmission System — “Engine and Transmission System not performing as expected.” P0700: Transmission Control Module requested Malfunction Indicator Lamp illumination. Emissions related DTC set in the Transmission Control Module. Both codes triggered at the time limp mode activated. Best Assessment: This appears to be an ongoing recurring GM transmission valve body issue affecting newer GM trucks. The failure caused a sudden loss of drive capability and is a safety hazard that requires NHTSA investigation.Read more

The boot material surrounding the parking brake bunches up and does not allow the handle to properly seat. When using the cruise control, the parking brake handle will raise up on its own, due to the boot material, causing the cruise control to abruptly disengage. This causes the vehicle to mildly to moderately deaccelerate without warning. This could cause rear end collision.
