My leased 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is included in Recall #68C (NHTSA #25V741000) for a battery fire risk when parked. I contacted my leasing company, Chrysler Capital, to request assistance because the ve

Their representatives repeatedly refused to escalate or document my case and stated that they “can’t do anything,” including refusing to provide a supervisor’s ID or written confirmation. I am requesting that this issue be investigated and that Jeep and Chrysler Capital provide appropriate lease termination or safety accommodations.Read more

... hen I Googled the issue, I found that it is a well-known and common problem in this year Prius. The brake booster failure is due to a Toyota design flaw, and Toyota is apparently being sued for it. Why is this issue not listed as a recall? I would not have allowed my daughter to drive around in a car for which the brakes are known to fail. How many accidents and deaths will be caused by this problem before Toyota stands behind their product and recalls affected vehicles? I had to pay $3200 for this brake repair, even though it is caused by Toyota's design flaw and endangered my family's life. My family owns four Toyotas, and I do think they make the most reliable vehicles on the road. I cannot understand why there is not a recall, and they are not standing behind their product.Read more

Component or System: Driver’s sun visor assembly (hinge/mounting bracket near top left of windshield). The visor then detached completely and was left hanging by the electrical cord, obstructing my forward view and cr
... eating an immediate safety hazard. Safety Risk: The detached visor blocked my line of sight while driving and could easily cause a collision if it occurs at highway speeds or in traffic. Additionally, with the bracket broken, the visor can no longer be used to block sunlight, increasing the risk of glare and impaired visibility during sunrise or sunset. Inspection and Confirmation: The issue was verified by a Jeep dealership; however, they stated that there was no permanent repair available other than visor replacement. This occurred several years ago while the jeep was still under warranty. Availability for Inspection: The defective visor is available for inspection upon request. Reproduction of the Problem: Based on multiple online reports and discussions found on Google and Reddit, this appears to be a common occurrence among Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles, specifically involving the driver’s sun visor detaching or becoming loose at the hinge. There are multiple videos/pictures of people complaining and asking how to fix the loose/broken clips for visors. Something more reliable that the OEM as it keeps malfunctioning. This is an ongoing safety issue with a 2025 Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited. The forward collision-avoidance system activates frequently and without cause during normal driving. The system will engage when another vehicle is simply turning, merging, or slowing down at a traffic light—normal, predictable situations where no emergency braking should occur. These unexpected activations create unsafe con

The manufacturer has been contacted and stated that this behavior is “by design.” They advised having the vehicle inspected by a dealership, but the local dealership requires leaving the vehicle for diagnostics for up to two days and does not provide loaner vehicles. Because I rely on the vehicle daily for work, this has made inspection difficult. Online reports from other owners appear to describe the same issue with the same model and year. No warning lights, error messages, or other indicators appear before the system activates. I have adjusted the collision-sensitivity settings from high to standard, but the issue persists. The engine in my 2019 Hyundai Elantra failed at approximately 66,000 miles. The vehicle began to idle roughly, lose power, and eventually stalled and would not restart. It was first inspected by an independent mechanic, who suggested a possible electrical issue. I then took it to a Hyundai dealership, where they later confirmed the engine was blown due to internal failure. I had a new warranty aft
... er refinancing, which required the car to be driven a minimum number of miles before coverage could be used. The engine failed when I was only a few miles short of that requirement. The warranty representative from the refinancing company confirmed in a voicemail that while they could cover work already completed (fuel pump), they could not cover the engine. The Hyundai technician also recommended returning the vehicle to the dealership for a new engine. The dealership had previously noted the vehicle was only a few miles outside warranty coverage and even suggested they could “drive the car a few miles” to make it appear within warranty , they said after they put the part in , it drove 3 miles and the engine gave out . They charged approximately $2,000 for a repair that failed, and the vehicle was never drivable again. Because the vehicle did not operate and I could not continue payments, it was repossessed. The loan balance I now owe is a direct result of the premature engine failure and unsuccessful repair. I later learned that 2019 Elantras with 2.0L Nu MPI engines have recalls and complaints regarding improperly heat-treated piston rings causing engine damage. My VIN did not initially show under recall, but this failure matches known defect patterns. There were no warning lights prior to failure; the engine failed suddenly. Infiniti has acknowledged that certain vehicles equipped with this engine may experience bearing failures caused by a manufacturing defect affecting the main, A-, C-, and L-link bearings. These defects can result in engine damage or complete engine failure, as outlined in Infiniti’s recall notice. In September 2025, I took my vehicle to an authorized Infiniti service center after receiving notic
... e of the recall. At that time, I was informed that no repair remedy was yet available. I continued operating the vehicle as advised, and no warning lights or performance issues were present. However, on October 16, 2025, the Service Engine Light illuminated unexpectedly. I immediately brought the vehicle to the nearest certified repair facility the following day (October 17, 2025). Diagnostic testing determined that the engine had suffered internal bearing failure, consistent with the known recall condition. The vehicle required a complete engine replacement, which I had to proceed with at significant personal expense, covering both parts and labor. At no time prior to this incident did my vehicle display any warning indicators or abnormal performance. The sudden nature of the engine failure created a serious safety concern and considerable financial hardship. I am therefore formally requesting reimbursement or assistance with the full cost of the engine replacement and associated labor. I have attached supporting documentation, including repair invoices, diagnostic reports, and proof of payment, for your review. Given that the failure directly relates to the known defect identified in the recall, I believe reimbursement is both appropriate and warranted.Read more

All 2019-2022 Toyota Corolla 6 Speed Manual Transmission cars are affected. The slave cylinder is a defective part that fails prematurely anywhere between the 20,000-70,000 mile range. In early August 2025, driving on the highway with my car behaving entirely normally, my entire dashboard lit up-- all error lights, check engine, transmission, emissions, blind spot- everything. During the last wee

This is a huge safety concern- particularly when going uphill on a highway and the car can just barely make it up the hill (i'm basically flooring the gas) and also a safety concern when switching lanes- the power is not there. I went to the dealer immediately after this. The dealer ran error codes and found none (as no lights returned). The dealer checked my spark plugs and said they were worn and replaced them (which is unreasonable at 21,000 miles). The problem was not resolved. I have since gone to two additional Honda dealers and both told me there is nothing wrong with the car- because no error codes appeared. I believe these problems are related to the eCVT as others have reported, and believe that the recall needs to be expanded.Read more

I am reporting dangerously bright LED and HID headlights from oncoming vehicles, especially SUVs and trucks. These lights cause severe glare and temporary blindness, making it difficult to stay in lane or see pedestrians at night. Even when headlights are properly functioning, their brightness and height appear unsafe for other drivers. The glare is significantly worse than older halogen systems,
... and it’s a widespread issue — not just a few vehicles. This problem increases crash risk for night driving, particularly for older drivers or those with light sensitivity. The car backed out of my garage and moved only about ten houses down our street when I suddenly felt it was out of control, and within seconds, it hit a stationary vehicle on our street. I did not hear Forward Collision Warning or feel the Automatic Braking system engage. The tesla report told me that the collision warning failure and the Safety systems are affected, and the passage side (front right) tire shows 0 psi) . The The damage was highly unusual — although I was driving slowly, approximately 10 to 15 miles per hour on my street, the front wheel became completely detached from the suspension, the suspension itself was severely damaged, However, the rest of the car’s body sustained with minimal impact. I had hard time to find Tesla service to help me, so I contacted Allstate and they had a towing company to transport the vehicle to Gwatney Collision Center, the only Tesla-certified body shop in our area.Read more
