Something is wrong with the front windshield. Since I bought this SUV the last year, I've noticed that the wipers are very noisy and the windshield gets dirty very frequently. The last week, the windshield cracked for no apparent reason. I called the dealer and their response was that it's not covered by the warranty and I have to claim it from my car insurance. They also have no explanation for t

Around June 2025 under normal driving my truck displayed engine oil low which I promptly checked the oil to find that it was in range. The light later went off but I still brought it to the dealership to which they could find no issues. From there over the next month or so the truck developed a low end popping sound on start up and at my next oil change at the dealership in August of 25 I asked th
... em to listen to see if they heard it and could recommend a course of action. They reported not hearing anything. On October 19th I had my family in the truck with me and during normal acceleration the engine had a loud pop sound and lost power. Every warning light came on and I pulled over promptly when safe. I had it towed to the dealership and their initial diagnosis was a failure on cylinder 4 with a suspected failure of either the cam shaft or lifter. Given the poor design of the lifter I didn’t want to go back with the OEM lifter so I had it towed to an aftermarket shop. It is there now and they are in the process of tearing down the engine. After watching a video on YouTube I fear my truck is part of the connecting rod bearing failure under PE25-001. My understanding is there is an official investigation into the trucks outside the initial recall. I wanted to submit this for your review as the truck only had 74,000 miles. Freeman GMC in Grapevine, Tx has performed all the maintenance and should have documentation.Read more

The steering wheel locks briefly when the Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system restarts the vehicle. This happens intermittently, about 50% of the time. While driving, the entire dashboard and instrument cluster intermittently go completely blank, disabling visibility of speed, gear position, warning lights, turn signals, and other critical information. The failure occurs suddenly and without warning. The cluster then goes through multiple reboot cycles, sometimes several times in a row. In many cases, normal operation does not return until the ve
... hicle is fully shut off and restarted. This creates a serious safety risk, especially at highway speeds or at night. The issue first occurred around 71,000 miles (Oct 2024) and has recurred multiple times. The most recent incident occurred on Oct 31, 2025 at approximately 84,200 miles. The vehicle has been to a Lincoln dealership in Raleigh, NC for four repair attempts (Dec 2024–Oct 2025). Multiple electrical modules have been replaced (battery, fuse junction box, trunk module, telematics module, keyless entry keypad), and Lincoln engineers were consulted, but the defect remains unresolved. No diagnostic trouble codes were stored during the most recent failure. The vehicle is currently covered under a Lincoln ESP PremiumCARE warranty through 2030, and the defect remains intermittent and unresolved.Read more

We were driving on I4 in stop and go traffic. Our speed was under 25 mph and we were over a full car length back from the vehicle in front of us. I was actively braking to come to a stop due to traffic and the forward collision / emergency braking kicked in and stopped us immediately. This caused a car behind us to almost hit us and cause an accident due to sudden stopping. This happened 3 separat

The system will take control of braking the car and the steering wheel, and will not always give it back immediately to be able to continue driving. This has occurred previously when slowing down due to someone turning in front of us just in every day driving, and has almost caused a wreck then as well. Our local Hyundai dealer said there was no recall or issue with the system. This is dangerous and going to cause an accident sooner or later.Read more

I am submitting a formal complaint regarding ongoing and severe engine issues with my 2018 Hyundai Sonata SE. Despite proper maintenance, the vehicle has developed extreme oil consumption and misfire problems that have made the car unreliable, unsafe, and financially burdensome. Beginning around 118,000 miles, the vehicle started consuming oil so rapidly that I was forced to completely replace th
... e oil every 1–2 weeks because it would run dangerously low or nearly empty. This level of oil loss is not normal, acceptable, or sustainable. I have detailed documentation, receipts, mileage logs, and maintenance history supporting this. In addition to oil consumption, the vehicle has repeatedly misfired, produced diagnostic trouble codes, and fouled spark plugs with oil. I have been forced to replace spark plugs approximately every two weeks, which is clearly abnormal for any modern vehicle. On multiple occasions, the vehicle has experienced violent knocking noises, severe loss of power, hesitation during acceleration, and near-stalling. One incident was so loud and aggressive that it felt like the engine was going to come out of the hood. These symptoms pose a serious safety risk while driving. I brought the car to a Hyundai dealership at approximately 118,000 miles for an oil-consumption test. The vehicle failed that test, clearly confirming excessive oil consumption. Despite this, Hyundai refused to provide repair, internal engine cleaning, or engine replacement, claiming the vehicle was already over 100,000 miles I have maintained this vehicle responsibly and have documentation of regular oil changes, spark-plug replacements, inspections, and diagnostic reports. Despite my efforts, the issue continues to worsen, and the vehicle remains unsafe and unreliable. This ongoing problem has caused significant financial strain, emotional stress, lost time, and fear of engine failure while driving. Based on countless similar complaints from other Hyundai owners, this appearRead more

For the past 16 months I have been experiencing a fuel odor in my vehicle cabin while idling or when in slow moving traffic. Knowing this likely is due to a fuel leak, I have taken it to the dealership 6 times to find the leak and remedy it. The dealership always finds something to repair/replace under warranty, however, the fuel smell persists. Over the past 16 months, this has increased in how s
... trong the smell is and how often I am smelling it. It started out as only smelling fuel once a week or so. Now the smell is there during ever drive. It seems as though if my tank of 7/8 or above full, it does not smell for some reason. Upon searching online, many other K5 owners are experiencing the same exact issue and the dealership has been unable to resolve this. The vehicle has had 3 seperate recalls for fuel issues and I believe another is necessary regarding this because the recalls has not fixed the fuel leak I and many others are experiencing. Kia is doing the bare minimum to resolve this and my children are breathing fuel fumes consequently. Please note, not all my repair invoices are attached. The ICCU (Integrated Charge Control Unit) failed. The car was in a Hyundai dealer repair shop on November 18, 2025, for an unrelated regular maintenance procedure when (i) the technician noticed a logged ICCU error code generated sometime prior to the shop visit and (ii) after the technician cleared that prior error a second new ICCU error code was generated. The shop replaced the defective ICCU.
... This car had been serviced on prior occasions to install updated ICCU software, most recently as part of NHTSA's recall 24V868000 of November 18, 2024 (also known as Hyundai Safety Recall 272), intended to eliminate such ICCU failures. Installation of that software as the remedy for recall 24V868000 clearly did not prevent the very ICCU failure it was intended to guard against. Please note also that it is common knowledge (as disseminated on various Ioniq 5 forums and Reddit groups) that large numbers of later Ioniq 5 vehicles with newer VINs not included in recall 24V868000, i.e., from model year 2025 onward, have also suffered from these failures despite being initially placed into service with the updated ICCU software, as well as many other pre-2025 remedied vehicles. The Hyundai ICCU software currently in operation on both remedied cars from recall 24V868000 as well as newer cars not subject to that recall is clearly entirely ineffective as a solution to this very serious safety issue. I strongly urge NHTSA to (i) declare the existing ICCU software to be an ineffective remedy for recall 24V868000, (ii) include all Hyundai Ioniq 5 cars for all model years, whether running current ICCU software or not, to be part of the group of unremedied and unsafe vehicles, and (iii) extend recall 24V868000 until such time as Hyundai can actually demonstrate that an effective remedy exists and is being made available to all Ioniq 5 vehicles.Read more

Purchased 5 years ago aprox 100k miles.kept oil changed regularly. Of course parts kept coming off, monk safety clips etc. It's a dime store matcbox wannabe. Then the abs and engine light came on. The computer was acting up and it would do crazy things. Lock and unlock, go into that slow drive as i was pulling into a road. Etc. These would self correct, all but the abs in a matter of minutes. ... i did have it checked. All that came up was right wheel speed sensor. I paid to have it fixed. Ford dealer told me his news, new sensor bad news still says it's bad. I was moving to another state. Stranger things kept happening. None could find out what was wrong. It started back firing so new plugs and coils. The shop told me after that it still had issues and while no code it was the transmission. It started to violently shake going 70mph. Scared me to death. I sold it and now car shopping. Never Ford again! I have always trusted them but they have compromised on quality, safety and customer loyalty.Read more
