While driving the car displayed “reduced propulsion power” on the dash and then I lost all drive power and could not switch the plug in hybrid from electric to gas engine mode. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealer who stated that the battery electronics control module and perhaps the battery needed to be replaced. The check engine light came on slightly before the incident.

2021 Hyundai Sonata 59,850 miles RPM jumps to around 1,300 at zero miles on occasion. If I am stopped, at a red light or behind other stopped autos, the vehicle jumps forward when I take my foot off the brake. Because this happens quite often, I am aware of this and keep my foot on the brake until other vehicles are out of the way to avoid bumping into them. When this happens, I can cruise at 30
... miles per hour without having my foot on the accelerator, I can slow down or stop by applying the brakes but the engine RPM stays at 1,300. If I stop and shut off the vehicle and restart, the operation goes back to normal but occurs again later. The Hyundai dealer has had the vehicle back 9 times but the issue continues. The first few times, they could not find an issue, I returned to the shop when this was happening and the service manager and a technician observed this condition, the EGR valve was replaced. Was OK for a bit but condition returned, the computer was then replaced. Condition continued. Brought the vehicle back and a scan was done and system “re-learned. After a short time the condition returned. Went back to the service center and they did another scan and another re-learn. Condition returned 4-5 days later. Problem still not resolved. Have 59,850 miles on the vehicle, warranty expires at 60,00 miles. This started around July 1, Now October 5. Waiting for a loaner so the service center can drive it around until the situation occurs and they can bring it in immediately for diagnosis. This is the same issue as reported for the same year vehicle in July 2022.Read more

I took the motorcycle to the dealer (Fay Myers Denver CO) yesterday and was told they have seen the same problem with four other motorcycles just at that dealership. There are many Youtube videos warning owners that the clutch slave cylinder needs to be replaced immediately. I should have followed that advice but I'm wondering why there isn't a recall when this is a known and pervasive problem. One of the Youtube videos mentions that this problem happened to someone who bought the motorcycle and was riding home for the first time from the dealership. There are no warning lamps messages or other symptoms to let the driver know there is a problem. I called customer support Husqvarana at 1 855 282 6227 on Tuesday 7/20 and again today 7/24 and have not received a return phone call. KTM, as the parent company of Husqvarna, has continued to put models on the road with problematic clutch slaves from Magura as the OEM clutch slave. This part is known to be a significant engineering problem and result in loss of clutch functionality on these motorcycles while in operation. There is apparently a revised OEM clutch slave that is in place but they have issued no voluntary recall for prior models affected by this and it cuts across a number of their platforms using a Magura vs. Brembo clutch slave on the 690/701 engine used in the Svartpilen and Vitpilen models as well as several others. I find it very troubling that KTM/Husqvarna would continue to allow bikes to be built and delivered that fail in their operation on the road and where that failure is likely. It was difficult to shift into neutral to restart the vehicle and there was a long line of cars behind me on the bridg

As I approached an intersection with a stop sign for my direction of travel I pulled the clutch lever in to slow my speed and downshift the motorcycle. The clutch lever pulled all the way to the handlebar without disengaging the clutch. I had to lock/skid the rear brake to avoid being hit by an oncoming automobile. Fortunately the driver of the vehicle saw me skidding past the stop sign and swerve
... d to avoid hitting me. I had to put the motorcycle into first gear and press the starter button as I pushed to get moving again. At the next intersection I again had to use the brakes to kill the engine to avoid being hit by oncoming vehicles. Using the starter motor was once again required to get the motorcycle moving. I had the ABS disabled as I was returning to the highway after traveling on a dirt road. Had the ABS been activated I would not have been able to avoid being hit by the automobile. Husqvarna refused to repair the failed "O Ring" in the Clutch Slave Cylinder claiming it's not a safety issue! Had I not been a rider with 50 plus years of experience this could have been a fatal accident. This is a know problem for Husqvarna/KTM and they refuse to address it. The internet is rife with other riders having the exact same problem. My local Husqvarna dealer offered to sell me an aftermarket replacement Clutch Slave Cylinder even though my motorcycle is still under the original factory warranty. They told me that Husqvarna has refused to cover countless requests to repair the faulty seal under the warranty. Had my wife or daughter been operating the motorcycle there is a good chance they would not have reacted in time to avoid injury or death.Read more

CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER SEAL FAILURE. ACCORDING TO MULTIPLE OWNERS, THIS IS A COMMON FAILURE POINT. SLAVE CYLINDER FAILED AT 431 MILES RESULTING IN COMPLETE LOSS OF CLUTCH FUNCTION WHILE STOPPED AT CONTROLLED INTERSECTION, CAUSING BIKE TO LURCH, AND STALL ACROSS LIMIT LINE.

I BOUGHT A NEW HUSQVARNA FE501 2018 BIKE. ON THE FIRST RIDE ONE OF THE INSERTS INTO THE PLASTIC SUB FRAME PULLED OUT. THIS LET THE REAR FENDER, ON BUMPS, TO HIT THE REAR TIRE WHICH DESTROYED THE TURN SIGNALS. ASSUME IF I'D KEPT RIDING WOULD HAVE ALSO DESTROYED THE TAIL LIGHT. HAD A MINOR HESITATION ISSUE WHEN COLD THAT WENT AWAY WHEN FULLY WARM. THAT I COULD LIVE WITH. RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NO. 16V-124 DATED 8/16/16 ADVISING OF PROBLEM WITH REMEDY TO BE DETERMINED. RECEIVED THE SAFETY RECALL NOTICE WITH REMEDY OF 4/24/17 AND DELIVERED THE MOTORCYCLE TO PRO CALIBER MOTORSPORTS OF OREGON FOR "A NEW ECU SOFTWARE UPDATE" ON 10/19/17. PICKED THE BIKE UP ON 11/18/17 WITH
... CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. AFTER THE DEALER OBTAINED THE PROPER CABLE TO "ADAPT THE UPDATED ECU SOFTWARE" 12/15/17, THE LIGHT WENT OFF. ON 3/27/18 THE HESITATION ISSUE WAS MAGNIFIED GREATLY AS THE ENGINE WOULD NOT PRODUCE USABLE POWER UNDER 5000 RPM. AS THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH PREDICTABLE POWER TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY, I DECIDED TO RETURN HOME AFTER A MILE ON MY LOCAL ROAD AND TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. OTHER SYMPTOMS: ENGINE WILL DIE UNDER LOAD UNDER 5000 RPM IF I AM NOT QUICK TO PULL IN THE CLUTCH; RPMS WILL RISE WITHOUT THROTTLE TO 3500 RPM EVEN WHEN WARM AND I AM TRYING TO SLOW DOWN. ON 3/29/18 I CONTACTED PRO CALIBER MOTORSPORTS AND ASKED FOR HELP. THE SERVICE ADVISER TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THIS MODEL.
