What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle appears to have experienced a failure or malfunction involving the electrical power system, charging system, 12 volt battery system, vehicle communication modules, or related components. Based on the recent Land Rover recall I found online, I am concerned that the DC to DC converter or re
... lated charging system may be involved, because the reported recall issue involves loss of 12 volt charging and potential loss of drive power. The vehicle is currently with Jaguar Land Rover Houston Central and should be available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has not been returned to me, and the dealer has indicated that the vehicle was not communicating with their diagnostic computer and was not initially showing fault codes because the modules were not communicating. They have told me that my car is not part of the recall. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the SUV experienced a complete shutdown while I was driving on two separate occasions. The first event occurred Thursday afternoon at approximately 4:32 PM while I was driving on Highway 610. The vehicle suddenly lost power while in motion. I was able to glide off the highway and park on the side of the road, but this could have caused a crash or created a serious hazard because it occurred on a major roadway. The second event occurred Friday morning around 7:20 AM while I was driving on South Rice Avenue to take my daughter to school. The vehicle shut off again and left me stranded. Multiple people attempted to jump start the vehicle, including the tow truck driver, but the vehicle could not be restarted or shifted into neutral. The vehicle remained disabled and required towing. Because the shutdown happened while driving and the vehicle could not be restarted or moved normally afterward, this created a significant risk of coRead more

The contact owns a 2016 Kia Soul. The contact stated that an abnormal, knocking sound would emit upon depression of the accelerator pedal as a check engine light appeared on the instrument panel. The vehicle was initially taken to an independent mechanic where the diagnosed the vehicle with a defective rod knock sensor; he was then advised to no longer operate the vehicle. The vehicle was later

2016 Honda Civic EX-T 1.5L turbo. Coolant is disappearing with no visible external leak. Diagnosed by mechanic as likely head gasket failure. 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum PowerBoost Hybrid. Diagnostic codes for power steering loss and CAN bus communication faults documented at 337 miles, well within the 3-year/36,000-mile new vehicle warranty. The vehicle has been at a Ford dealer since March 10, 2026 for symptoms including the truck randomly turning off while driving and loss of power steering communication. As of this report, the truck h

Documented diagnostic findings include: Lost Communication with PSCM (U0131), SCP/J1850 Communications Bus Fault (U1028), permanent code P1A42 Propulsion System Status Signal Performance, hybrid-specific High Voltage System Interlock U3523-00, Steering Position Sensor P060A, no communication with Power Steering Control Module, intermittent PCM communication during self-tests, BCMC fuse 69 with no power, and circuit CBB69 with no voltage. A Ford Field Service Engineer was dispatched April 23, 2026. On April 24, 2026 the dealer located damaged wiring inside a harness behind the BCMC bracket. Prior to that, the dealer escalated through R&I of multiple modules (PSCM, PCM, BCMC, Gateway Module access) over 45 days without locating the actual cause. The vehicle is currently subject to NHTSA recall 26V104 / Ford 26C10 (Trailer Module loss of communication at startup) issued 3/18/2026, status Recall Incomplete. The recall describes the same general failure mode (module communication loss at startup) the customer has been experiencing. Power steering loss while driving is a serious safety concern, particularly given the vehicle's hybrid drivetrain and CAN-bus-dependent safety systems.Read more

Truck fails to accelerate when transmission is in second gear, travelling at low speed (typically under 10 MPH) and at low RPMs (typically ~1,500). Regardless of amount of pressure applied to accelerator, the truck will remain at low RPM and speed for up to 10 seconds. This problem occurs frequently and has been reproduced by a Ford dealer. Ford TSB 25-2302 describes this problem, but in my case

Because a DTC is not present, the Ford dealer refuses to proceed with corrective actions as outlined in TSB without charging me for diagnostics and labor, although the truck is still under warranty. This truck was parked on a job site, on a flat parking lot over blacktop, doing a regen for the 5th time in just a few days. The truck had 4,000 miles on it. When it completed the regen, we shut the truck off. Within 15 minutes the truck was fully engulfed in flames. The business property is covering the tool loss, and said it isnt worth going after GM as they make it impossible. I know this isnt the only vehicle this has happened to, and they simply refuse to even answer. I want to file a formal complaint against GM, and want them to cover the loss, the loss of use. I own a 2017 Ford Escape SE with approximately 96,665 miles. The vehicle developed coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders, resulting in coolant loss, misfires, rough running, and risk of engine failure. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle as requiring a full engine replacement. Ford has acknowledged similar coolant intrusion defects in certain 2017 Ford Escape vehicles through Customer Sati
... sfaction Program 21N12 and related technical service bulletins, but my VIN was excluded despite experiencing the same failure symptoms. This issue creates a serious safety concern because coolant intrusion can lead to sudden loss of power, stalling, overheating, or complete engine failure while driving. The defect occurred despite regular maintenance and without warning beyond coolant loss and drivability symptoms. In addition, the vehicle experienced transmission failure around the same timeframe, significantly affecting the safety and reliability of the vehicle for family transportation. I believe Ford should investigate and expand coverage for this known engine defect to include similarly affected vehicles outside the current VIN range.Read more

I am reporting a recurring safety issue following the Acura rod bearing recall repair on my 2019 Acura MDX SH-AWD. I regularly transport children in this vehicle and no longer have confidence in the safety or reliability of the recall repair. I am submitting this complaint regarding Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. and my 2023 Toyota Tundra, which is currently subject to Safety Recall 25V767 involving catastrophic engine failure risk due to crankshaft bearing contamination within the V35A engine. Toyota has acknowledged that my vehicle is included in the recall and has further acknowledged that the engine will require replacement. However, d
... espite confirming the seriousness of the defect, Toyota has refused to repurchase the vehicle and has failed to provide any timeline whatsoever regarding when the engine replacement remedy will become available. Toyota’s position has simply been that the engine will be repaired “once a remedy is available,” without any estimated repair date or meaningful resolution for affected consumers. The recall itself states that the defect may result in engine knocking, rough running, engine no-start, and/or sudden engine stall. Toyota further acknowledges in its recall documentation that engine stall while driving can lead to loss of motive power and increase the risk of a crash. This is a major safety issue, not a minor inconvenience. I live and drive in [XXX] , where highway driving and high-speed traffic are unavoidable. Due to the risk of sudden engine failure or loss of power, my family and I no longer feel safe operating the vehicle under normal driving conditions. As a result, we have drastically limited use of the truck despite continuing to make monthly loan payments, insurance payments, and registration expenses. Additionally, the truck has experienced multiple other recall and repair-related issues since purchase. Several recalls have already required service visits, and additional unresolved recalls remain pending. While passing at highway speeds under heavy acceleration, the transmission system on my 2026 Honda Passport with approximately 7,000 miles malfunctioned. Multiple warning messages appeared, including “Transmission system problem. Reverse gear not available. See your dealer,” “Transmission system problem. Avoid heavy acceleration and high speed. See your dealer,” “Transmission system prob

See your dealer.” The vehicle then shifted into a middle gear and remained there, reducing normal drivability during a passing maneuver. I was able to pull over safely. After turning the vehicle off and back on, the warnings cleared temporarily, but the failure repeated multiple times. The safety concern is that the malfunction occurred during highway-speed passing and affected propulsion/gear availability. No crash or injury occurred. A Honda dealer pulled diagnostic codes P097F-17 and U3500-16 and stated that the TCM inside the transmission needed replacement. A second Honda dealer later reproduced the problem, consulted Honda technical support, and Honda approved replacement of the full transmission under warranty. I have experienced a persistent steering and suspension-related issue with my 2019 Toyota 4Runner since early ownership, beginning at approximately 6,800 miles. I have also experienced steering wheel vibration and instability, particularly at speeds above approximately 50–60 MPH. Over s
... everal years, the vehicle has undergone multiple alignments, tire rotations, balancing procedures, and dealership inspections; however, the condition has never been resolved. Toyota dealership records document abnormal tire wear including feathering and cupping. Recent service documentation states the alignment could only be adjusted “to best ability.” A prior independent inspection identified possible lower control arm bushing concerns. Despite this, the vehicle was reportedly operating “within factory specifications.” The condition has persisted through multiple sets of tires and repeated service visits. The ongoing steering pull, vibration, and instability create a safety concern during highway driving because the vehicle does not consistently track straight and requires repeated steering correction. The issue has been reproducible over multiple years and has not been permanently corrected despite repeated repair attempts and inspections. No warning lights were present at the time of the condition.Read more

Incident date: Feb 1, 2026
I received this recall notice in October 2025. I contacted [XXX] in Marion, Ohio to take care of the recall. I was told at that time that they did not have the parts to do the recall. So, I called back January 28, 2026 and was told the part was not available. I then called in March and inquired and was told the same thing. So, I phoned again on April 27 and was told that I would have to make
... an appointment for the recall. Since my husband was going to be taking care of it, he called the next day to schedule an appointment. An appointment was made of April 29 and they said they could come to our house to do the recall. No one showed up on that date. So, we called on April 30 to see why. They said the tech called in sick and would contact us when he was back. We waited until today, May 6 and called them back as no one had called. TODAY, they tell us that there is no active recall on our car.... INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
