On start up (date 6/10/26) the dash warned "Check Driver Assistance System," but the car started. Turned off the car, restarted, and this warning was replaced by a yellow "check engine" light, and a remark that the hybrid controller had a fault; the Kia app on my phone indicated the trouble as well. Called for roadside assistance; just before the tow truck operator arrived the faults cleared. Deal

I am reporting a critical safety issue regarding the auto-start-stop system on my 2025 Honda Odyssey. On June 15, 2026, the vehicle's engine shut off at an intersection as designed but failed to restart, stranding the driver in active traffic and presenting a severe safety hazard. I previously brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership approximately two weeks prior to this incident afte

At that time, the dealership diagnosed the issue as low battery voltage and replaced the battery; however, this repair did not resolve the underlying fault. The vehicle continues to unexpectedly stall during traffic stops due to the auto-start-stop failure, representing an ongoing and significant danger to the vehicle occupants and other motorists.Read more

My F150 lost all power while driving as my wife was approaching a stop sign on XXX. Everything in the truck failed to work. When the power went out all safety devices: 4-way hazards, parking brake, brakes, airbags, steering etc... were inoperable. The truck was towed to a Ford Dealer Garage in Manteno, Illinois about 150 miles from my home. The ford garage replaced the RL3Z-14A068-G Ford Panel
... Assembly-Fuse Junction Panel. The truck was in the shop for 7 days. I was never informed of the reason this junction panel assemble failed. This same truck was in the shop from May 27 - July 3, 2025 for a wiring harness concern with only 1,200. At first, they were going to replace the entire wiring harness, but eventually they repaired a loose pin. My truck has been in the shop for 45 days since purchasing it on April 18, 2025. My outstanding questions: Are the wiring harness and the panel assembly issues connected? Is it safe to drive my truck? I drove it home from 150 miles away from the breakdown. Since then, I have only driven it a few miles locally. My wife is hesitant to ride in the truck after the experience. I contacted Ford on June 4/5 and they connected me with the Ford service manager at Dixon Ford, in [XXX]. I asked that a Ford Service Engineer inspect the truck to trace any ghost resistance. He indicated that they were unable to perform this task at his place of service. The main concern I have: Is my truck safe to drive? We had initially discussed taking the truck on our 10-day trip to the Rocky Mountains, but opted for my wife's Highlander. Imagine if this failure occurred in the Rocky Mountains? Issue is with the transmission as it harshly shifts into a low gear when on an incline. This causes me to lock up my breaks as it feels like the truck was rear ended by another vehicle. I’m concerned that this is going to cause an accident. This problem has not been reproduced by the dealer. I’ve taken it to the dealership several times. No warning lamps or messages.

Due to the failure, the contact was forced to remove the key from the ignition while the engine was running and used pliers to unhook the battery to turn off the vehicle. Additionally, while driving 20 MPH over a bump in the road, the key was knocked out of the ignition, causing the vehicle to abruptly shut off. The contact lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle veered off into the grass before coming to a complete stop. Despite the failure, the contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove to the residence and parked the vehicle. The contact alerted the dealer of the failure and that the recall was not properly serviced. The contact was given an estimate for a diagnostic test, and the contact refused to pay for the diagnostic test. Over the past year and a half I’ve had to deal with unknown reasons for at least 13 tire problems. And one of those problems was a complete blow out on the highway. When I went to get my spare tire and change it there wasn’t anything in the trunks spare compartment. I called the dealership and they said they don’t do that (meaning they don’t provide the car with a spare). I was very confus
... ed and stressed. I felt played and wasn’t made to feel confident in this purchase. That not the only thing. The electric system does pretty much whatever it wants. Changes my music, gives advice for things we didn’t ask and the volume is always highering itself and lowering just whenever it chooses. The airbag light has been on most of the time letting me know the passenger airbag isn’t on or working properly. The engine light has been on for at least four months now. I understand Warranty for regular checkups and maintenance but this feels a bit more serious than me making sure I’ve secured my warranty. I have called and taken the vehicle into both Toyota of Visalia and Toyota of Selma where I got financing for the vehicle. Toyota of Visalia wasn’t very much help at all and preceded to talk down to me. Toyota of Selma keeps giving me the run around and telling me different things about my warranty. This car isn’t worth the trouble my credit score goes through to secure it each month just to have something else fail me in it. At this point I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to replace the DC to DC because the car died a week ago and hasn’t turned back on since. And yes I’ve tried jumping the battery already. I’ve only had this car a year and a half. I wasn’t made aware of any issues with it when I drove it home that day. It was a nice ride home but less than a couple months I was already having questions about its performance. I really wish this complaint would even help but I’m just writing to probably waste my own time.Read more

On June 6, 2026, while driving home, the vehicle suddenly began smelling strongly of gasoline and burnt rubber. Within seconds, thick black smoke became visible in the side mirrors, followed immediately by white smoke pouring from the front hood and into the passenger cabin through the air vents. As I attempted to pull over to safety, the vehicle completely stopped responding. The brakes failed
... to operate, the engine stalled, and the steering wheel locked completely. We were barely able to bring the vehicle to a stop. Immediately upon exiting, visible flames erupted from underneath the driver's side of the vehicle and out of the front hood. The engine compartment and motor burnt completely. The safety of the driver and front passenger was put at extreme risk of death or severe injury. Because the brakes and steering locked up simultaneously while the cabin filled with smoke, we almost lost the ability to safely exit a moving vehicle that was actively catching fire. Furthermore, at no moment prior to or during the failure did any warning lamps, check engine lights, or diagnostic messages illuminate on the dashboard. There was absolutely zero advance warning from the vehicle's safety systems. The fire originated from a catastrophic fuel system failure, specifically matching the known issues of the high-pressure fuel pump leak. The vehicle is a total loss and is currently located at a tow yard. It is fully available for inspection upon request.Local police responded to the scene and generated an incident log number. A corporate claim has been opened directly with KIA but as of today, no inspector from the manufacturer or insurance has been sent out.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my concern regarding the windshield quality on my Honda CR-V. I recently purchased this vehicle and have already experienced three separate chips in the windshield caused by small rocks during normal driving conditions. I have owned several vehicles over the years including Honda SUV, and have encountered similar road conditions without experiencin
... g this level of damage. The frequency with which the windshield has chipped has led me to question the durability and quality of the glass used in my Honda CR-V. While I understand that windshields can be damaged by road debris, it is concerning that a vehicle has sustained multiple chips in such a short period of time. This has resulted in inconvenience, concern about the windshield's long-term integrity, and the potential for costly repairs or replacement. I am requesting that Honda review this matter and advise whether there are any known issues regarding windshield durability for my vehicle. I would also appreciate any assistance or goodwill consideration Honda may be able to provide. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. The 8-speed automatic transmission (Aisin UB80, the 4-cylinder variant of the UA80 family) failed at approximately 53,000 miles. Symptoms prior to failure: harsh shifting, RPM flare to 4,000 between gears before hard engagement ("thud"), loss of power in Reverse, and a metal-on-metal noise from inside the transmission when power was applied. No dashboard warning lights illuminated at any point. S
... afety risk: the vehicle would not shift normally and lost power in Reverse, with the engine revving to high RPM before abrupt gear engagement. This created a real risk of sudden loss of forward propulsion in traffic, abrupt unintended acceleration on engagement, and inability to safely reverse. The failure occurred without prior warning indicators. The problem was confirmed by both an independent service center and an authorized Toyota dealer. The Toyota dealer performed a road test and a transmission fluid sample analysis. The dealer documented, verbatim: "vehicle will rev up to 4k before shifting and will only shift if you let off the gas... took a transmission fluid sample and found fluid was burnt with clutch pack material suspended in fluid. Transmission will need to be replaced." Quoted repair: approximately $10,747. The failure mechanism — burnt fluid with suspended clutch pack material from heat-driven internal wear — matches the defect alleged in three active federal class-action lawsuits naming this transmission family (filed in U.S. District Courts in Texas, California, and New Jersey, late 2025 through early 2026). It also matches multiple Toyota Technical Service Bulletins (T-SB-0330-17, T-SB-0010-18, T-SB-0152-19) and the defect Toyota has acknowledged on the 2017-2018 Sienna and Highlander under Customer Support Program ZJC by extending warranty to 10 years/unlimited miles on the same transmission family. The failed transmission is no longer in my possession; the vehicle has been sold. Diagnostic documentation is available upon request.Read more

Shortly after purchasing my 2022 Ford Escape, I began experiencing hesitation during acceleration, loss of power, RPM fluctuations, loud howling and whining noises, grinding noises, exhaust-related rattling, coolant bubbling, and a strong sulfur/rotten egg odor. The problems were reported repeatedly to the selling dealer and Ford service departments. Despite multiple complaints, I was repeatedly t
... old nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The vehicle continued to deteriorate and now struggles to accelerate and produces extremely loud noises during operation. The condition creates a safety concern because the vehicle does not respond normally when accelerating and may not be able to maintain speed safely in traffic. I also discovered an open safety recall involving a potentially cracked fuel injector that could allow fuel or fuel vapor to accumulate on the engine and create a fire risk. The recall remains incomplete because a remedy is not currently available. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership service departments and an independent transmission specialist. The problems have been ongoing since shortly after purchase and continue to worsen.Read more

I was barely able to get the vehicle off the interstate before it died. I had my family in the vehicle, and losing power on the interstate with no warning created a serious risk of a crash. Disgusted & deeply disappointed in my first (& last) experience owning a Toyota is an understatement. I confidently purchased a brand new Camry in 2019, based on their reputation for reliability. But, as soon as the warranty expired, the problems began. First, the electronic water pump failed, costing me $1200. The thermostat failed while I was on vacation last year, costing $300ish. Multiple
... battery issues. Then, a few months pass, check engine light pops up. Says it needs an O2 sensor. Replace it, light goes off, only to come back a few days later. Take to dealership where they charge me $200 to diagnose. They inform me the car will not accept after market parts & I'll need to purchase one from them instead for around $600. Yes. $600 for an O2 sensor. At only 129k miles, the transmission failed. The car stopped in the middle of an intersection & would not move forward, nearly causing me & my child to be hit. Mechanic informs me that it can be upwards of $7k to replace with a used transmission, $11k for new, & that's only WHEN they can get the part, which is on back order for MONTHS. This is because the supply can't keep up with the demand, as this model has widespread transmission issues. It was explicitly stated it is a "manufacturer defect." Yet, no recall. My online research absolutely supports that this is a large & very common problem that should warrant some responsibility from Toyota. It was on a rollback 4 times in 1 year. So, I was put in a position where I was forced to buy another car, since obviously I can't go without one for months. My 6 year old car (at time of breakdown) is now basically junk. It sits in my driveway, worthless, just 7 months after payoff.Read more

Hyundai diagnosed and internal Transmission failure and approved transmission replacement. I’m concerned about the sudden loss of proportion and the safety risk this creates. Hyundai proposed repair is to
... replace the transmission with a rebuild remanufacture transmission rather than a new transmission. I am concerned about the reliability of the repair following a complete transmission failure.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The braking system failed, preventing the vehicle from stopping properly. The vehicle is currently at a tow yard and is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Because the brakes failed, I was unable to stop at a traffic light. The vehicle en
... tered oncoming traffic and was involved in a collision, placing my safety and the safety of other motorists at risk. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. I previously took the vehicle to the dealership several times for misfire and powertrain-related issues. The dealership was unable to identify the underlying problem and advised that the spark plugs were not tightened properly. Similar issues have occurred multiple times over the past few years. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle is currently at a tow yard and is awaiting inspection by the insurance company. Additional inspections may be conducted as part of the claim investigation. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. Warning lights appeared earlier this week, and I brought the vehicle to the dealership for diagnosis. The dealership was unable to determine the cause of the warnings. I picked up the vehicle on June 11, 2026. On June 12, 2026, the brakes failed, resulting in the accident.Read more

Water leaks into and pools in the tail lights causing the tail light to go out. Other drivers can't see the back of the car at night thus increasing risk of rear end collision. The problem was confirmed by the dealer and I was told that it is a very common problem on this model and that the manufacturer refuses to cover the $1600.00 repair cost. There were no warnings that the light had gone out,
... so this is very dangerous because it's possible that you drive around for many months without realizing that your tail light is not working.Read more

Driving towards direct light/sunlight is damn near impossible with this vehicle die to the extreme amount of glare from the dashboard. It makes me worried especially now that summer is approaching, feels like it can be catastrophic. Rear brake assist is horrible on more than one occasion the car will stop as if it has just been hit by a semi. Leaving the vehicle unable to proceed in reverse(one
... has to shift to drive or put in park before continuing to reverse). This is not only a nuisance but can lead to an accident especially during the mad rush of drop off at the elementary.Read more
