1. The vehicle has experienced multiple safety-related defects and is available for inspection upon request: The Instrument Cluster Panel was subject to Safety Recall and required service. The radio system suffered an internal malfunction. The Electric Hydraulic Power Steering system was subject to a safety recall issued on June 11, 2026 and no remedy is currently available from the manufacturer.
... 2. The instrument cluster defect could prevent the driver from viewing critical safety information, like speed, odometer, and warning indicators. The Electric Hydraulic Power Steering defect poses an even greater risk, as a loss or reduction of steering assist could impair vehicle control and increase the likelihood of a crash. Additionally, the recalled steering system may overheat and cause a fire, whether the vehicle is being driven or the engine is off, creating an immediate life-threatening hazard to occupants, nearby persons, vehicles, and property. This is especially concerning as a Texas resident driving in the summer months with extreme temperatures. 3. The instrument cluster issue was addressed through recall service performed by an authorized Jeep dealership. The radio/internal failure was reported to the dealership, which acknowledged the malfunction. The power steering issue has also been recognized by the manufacturer through the issuance of a safety recall on 6/11/2026. 4. The vehicle has been inspected and serviced by authorized Jeep dealerships in connection with the instrument cluster recall and the reported radio malfunction. Additionally, the vehicle underwent multiple routine service inspections before the Power Steering recall was issued, and no steering-system defects or safety concerns were identified or disclosed. 5. No warnings or messages appeared before the failures. Radio failure caused infotainment screen to go blank while instrument cluster and power steering issues were identified by manufacturer recalls instead of vehicle warnings.Read more

It's a sunny day in Florida and approximately at [XXX] while traveling straight on a public roadway, the vehicle directly in front of me moved into the left-turn lane, completely clearing my lane of travel. As I actively accelerated to pass the turning vehicle, my Honda’s Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) inadvertently activated despite my lane being completely clear and unobstructed. T
... he emergency automatic braking engaged forcefully just after I passed the vehicle in the left-turn lane. This unexpected, false-positive braking event caused a severe, rapid deceleration that nearly resulted in a rear-end collision by the vehicle traveling behind me. This exact situation has occurred on 3 other separate occasions. I'm in fear of being rear-ended, especially with my kids in the car, because my vehicle body language prior to the forceful braking has been acceleration. The drivers behind me are likely to see my acceleration and proceed with their own acceleration just to be blind-sided with my vehicles sudden and hard braking. COMPONENTS THAT FAILED: Multiple systems failed in a connected chain. (1) The DPF aftertreatment differential pressure sensor — a CONFIRMED manufacturing defect per Cummins recall T7186/T7187 (Jan 2026). (2) The Allison automatic transmission — catastrophic internal failure: torque converter destroyed, flexplate warped and cracked, metal fragments throughout. (3) The transmission control unit
... wiring (circuits 143/123) reversed at the factory. The DEF sensor in the same aftertreatment system also failed back in Dec 2023, 14 months before the DPF symptoms — proving a system-wide defect. All failed components and repair invoices are available for inspection upon request. SAFETY RISK: After the dealer declared repairs complete, the truck was driven under 10 miles when the engine entered SEVERE DERATE (limp) mode WITHOUT WARNING, with four alerts firing at once including aftertreatment and transmission failures. Sudden, drastic power loss on a heavy commercial truck in live traffic is extremely dangerous — it can leave the vehicle unable to maintain highway speed, risking a collision with surrounding vehicles. The dealer released the truck in this hazardous state with no warning. CONFIRMED BY MULTIPLE SHOPS: Yes. The problem was reproduced and confirmed repeatedly — by the authorized dealer, by an independent transmission shop, and at final repair. The fault returned within 30 minutes on one visit and within 10 miles on another. INSPECTED BY: The authorized dealer and an independent service center inspected the vehicle and failed components. Documentation is available. WARNING SIGNS: Yes. Warning lamps appeared from the very first visit in Feb 2025 — transmission code P071A and high soot codes 1981/1922. They persisted for NINE MONTHS without proper repair, until the transmission catastrophically failed in Nov 2025. The vehicle was out of service over 45 days.Read more

With no warning my truck lost all anti-lock braking, traction control, stability control, trailer brakes, and 4x4 capability (computer will not allow 4x4 to engage). This is due to an "abs module" failure. Ram/Dodge has no new units available to repair this faulty part and no ETA on if/when they will be available. There was thankfully no accident with this failure but obviously, it could lead to o
... ne. Especially since the part cannot be fixed. Owners are left with scavenging used parts that are still operational. As in my case, my vehicle will have to be "fixed" with an abs module from a wrecked truck! Also, the electronic steering can fail with no warnings. Leading to complete loss of power steering, traction control, and stability control. This failed on my truck as I was driving as well. Thankfully again, no accident with this failure. There is no new factory part to replace this unit either. I had this repaired with a remanufactured unit that failed in one month, then it was replaced again and seems to be fixed for now. These are keystone components to an automobile and it is unacceptable for them to just stop working and have no available parts to the responsible consumer. This leads to owners having a useless worthless vehicle rotting in the driveway or a highly unsafe vehicle on the road to those irresponsible. I want to also shed light to the fact that these issues encompass model years from 2009 to brand new 2026 Ram trucks. There are people with 2025-2026 Ram trucks dealing with this same issue, my vehicles age isn't an iota to molten issues under the surface to Ram owners! **Vehicle Safety Complaint** I am experiencing a serious safety issue with my 2016 Chevrolet vehicle involving the power steering system. On a somewhat regular basis, I receive dashboard warnings including "StabiliTrak Not Working," and "Service Power Steering." Shortly after these warnings appear, the power steering fails while I am driving. When this occurs, I must use significant force to tur
... n the steering wheel in order to maintain control of the vehicle and make turns. When I pull over, turn off engine and wait a few minutes, the restart the engine, it appears to be resolved and works fine. This creates an extremely dangerous driving condition. I am concerned that I may not be able to turn quickly or forcefully enough to avoid an accident, potentially resulting in a collision, injury, or death. I am aware that certain 2015 model year vehicles were recalled for similar power steering issues. However, despite experiencing what appears to be the same defect in my 2016 vehicle, no recall has been issued. The issue remains uncorrected and continues to pose a significant safety risk. GM Customer Care (1-800-462-8782) states I am not eligible for any cost assistance because it is a 2016 model and not 2015. Given the serious safety implications of sudden power steering loss while driving, I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue and determine whether a recall is warranted for affected 2016 vehicles. The sudden loss of power steering while the vehicle is in motion presents a substantial safety hazard and should be addressed before it leads to serious accidents or injuries.Read more

The vehicle has a steering issue where the steering wheel sticks and requires extra force to correct or adjust while driving. The issue occurs during normal driving at low speeds and highway speeds, and when turning left or right. The condition is present whether Lane Keeping Assist is turned on or off. There is also noise when turning the steering wheel side to side. The symptoms were first noti
... ced around July 7, 2025. The vehicle was later brought to an authorized Honda dealership for steering rack inspection on or around November 28, 2025. The issue continued and the vehicle was inspected again by the authorized Honda dealership on May 18, 2026. The failed component appears to be the EPS steering rack / steering gearbox. The component should be available for inspection upon request. The issue creates a safety concern because the steering can stick while driving and requires additional effort to make steering corrections. This could affect the driver’s ability to maintain lane position or respond quickly during normal driving, highway driving, turning, or evasive maneuvers. The issue was confirmed by an authorized Honda dealership during the May 18, 2026 inspection. The dealership test drove the vehicle, verified the steering concern, and documented that the steering rack is binding and sticking and requires replacement. The vehicle had approximately 50,137 miles at the time of that inspection. The vehicle was also reviewed through the manufacturer’s goodwill process, and the manufacturer offered only partial goodwill assistance toward the steering rack replacement.
