1)The truck experiences an intermittent but complete failure of the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor circuit and multiple chaffing points of the vehicle wiring harness. This issue is a documented manufacturing and electrical defect covered under General Motors Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #24-NA-012. Yes, the truck is available for inspection. 2)This issue has happened to me on five occasions
... where I was traveling over 50 MPH and the vehicle violently jerked with my wife and children in the truck with me. This defect poses an immediate, severe safety hazard due to unpredictable, sudden engine/transmission jerk while operating at highway speeds. My main priority is my family! This failure compromises my ability to safely maneuver, accelerate, or steer the heavy-duty vehicle out of active lanes of traffic, dramatically increasing the risk of a high-speed rear-end collision or crash. 3) The problem has been reproduced by Rick Hendrick Chevrolet Norfolk and R.K. Chevrolet Virginia Beach. There are service invoices confirming these reproducible jerks and subsequent engine codes thrown. 4) No, I brought this up to General Motors as a safety issue but they have brushed off my concerns. 5) The second time I had the violent jerk I had a message appear on my DTC that stated "174 mi Until 65 MPH Max Speed and Service Emission System See Owner's Manual" that was on 2/21/2026. Extra Note: The vehicle sat disabled at a dealership service center for 21 cumulative days during the initial attempt to repair this specific defect under TSB #24-NA-012. Merely 58 days after the repair, the identical crankshaft position sensor circuit/wiring failure reoccurred while driving, resulting in secondary engine failure and requiring a visit to an independent service facility for diagnostic verification and wiring replacement. Internal vehicle history confirms that prior to my truck ownership the crankshaft position sensor was replaced in December 2025 weeks before I purchased the truck.Read more

Only the side window airbags deployed during a collision. There was no protection from the front impact. Insurance representatives have the vehicle and we are waiting to hear about the outcome. While in the car pool lane traveling approximately 65mph, a Honda civic left the lane to the right of us and veered directly into our lane. I applied the brakes as hard as I could, but did not swerve due to
... fear of rolling into the opposite direction of traffic. His back driver side came into my front passenger side at the immediate collision and then we flipped onto the driver side and slid for quite a few feet. Only the airbags on the doors/windows deployed. There was very little reaction time to apply the brakes due to the speed and closeness of the Honda coming into our lane. The airbags in the front console would have protected us from the whiplash we received.Read more

The vehicle experienced a coolant intrusion failure involving the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. While driving, the engine began to misfire and run rough, and the check engine light illuminated. Diagnostic testing confirmed a cylinder misfire. A dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that coolant was leaking internally into one or more cylinders due to engine coolant intrusion. The dealership advis
... ed that the manufacturer recommends replacing the engine short block rather than performing a head gasket repair because the underlying engine design is the cause of the failure. This condition creates a significant safety concern because the engine can suddenly lose power, run unpredictably, or stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. Continued operation also risks catastrophic engine failure. The condition has been confirmed by an authorized dealership and is available for inspection upon request. Prior to diagnosis, symptoms included rough engine operation, a check engine light, and a confirmed cylinder misfire. The coolant intrusion was verified during the dealer's inspection. Based on the dealership's findings, this appears to be an internal engine defect rather than normal wear or maintenance-related failure.Read more

My Explorer had Recall 21S32 completed at the dealership on April 1st. The remedy for recall 21S32 was insufficient. Within a month and a half I began hearing a metal clanking noise coming from the rear of the Explorer when I went over bumps. Very quickly the clanking became a lot of frequent loud squeaking. I brought it back to the dealership and they immediately heard the noise and were able to
... diagnose the problem as coming from the driver side rear wheel knuckle bushing. The service manager and the master technician both agreed that the suspension problem are a direct result of the recall work that was completed. While the Toe-link recall work was done correctly, the new torque placed on the knuckle bushing directly relating to the recall work has caused it to fail. It is obvious that the underlying defect caused the rear wheel knuckle to fail, leaving the vehicle unstable. Upon releasing my foot from the accelerator pedal in preparation for this maneuver, the vehicle unexpectedly and rapidly accelerated without any input from me. The rate and intensity of acceleration was unprecedented in my experience operating motor vehicles. I immediately applied pressure to the brake pedal in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the braking system was unresponsive and failed to slow or halt the vehicle's forward motion. As a result of this uncontrolled acceleration, the vehicle collided with the front porch of my residence. Upon impact, all airbags deployed. The collision caused extensive damage to my property, including a fractured and displaced porch support column. I sustained multiple serious injuries during this incident, including a severe laceration to my left leg, burn injuries across both hands, body, and legs, loss of mobility in my left arm and neck, and significant pain in my lower back region. Incident date: Jun 1, 2025
This vehicle became subject to a manufacturer safety recall requiring complete engine replacement. The engine failure has been confirmed by an authorized GMC dealer, and the vehicle has remained out of service for more than one month while awaiting the recall remedy. The dealer has advised that the repair has been escalated through GM's SPAC (Service Parts Assistance Center) process because a rep

As a result, the recall remedy is effectively unavailable, and the vehicle remains unusable for an indefinite period. Although a temporary loaner vehicle has been provided, it is not functionally comparable to the recalled vehicle and does not provide the towing capability and utility required for its intended use. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized GMC dealer, who confirmed that engine replacement under the recall is required. The vehicle remains available for inspection. My concern is not only the original safety defect but also the inability to obtain the recall remedy within a reasonable timeframe. There has been no estimate of when replacement engines will become available, leaving the vehicle out of service indefinitely. I am submitting this complaint to document the delay in completing the safety recall and to request that NHTSA review whether the recall remedy is being provided in a timely and effective manner.Read more

Subject: Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2013 Ford F-150 Flex Fuel Transmission Failure I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2013 Ford F-150 Flex Fuel due to a serious and costly transmission failure that I believe warrants investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). I purchased this vehicle in 2020, and since that time it has experienced ongoing transmission
... problems. The transmission has progressively worsened and now slips during operation, creating a safety concern when accelerating, merging into traffic, or crossing intersections. The vehicle does not consistently respond as expected, increasing the risk of a crash. After having the vehicle inspected, I was informed that the transmission requires complete replacement at a cost of more than $7,000. This is an excessive repair expense for what appears to be a known issue affecting Ford F-150 trucks. I am aware that Ford has issued recalls and service actions involving transmission problems on other model-year Ford F-150s. Given the nature of the transmission failure in my 2013 F-150 and the widespread complaints from other owners, I believe the 2013 Ford F-150 should also be investigated for similar transmission defects. This failure is more than an inconvenience—it is a safety issue. A slipping transmission can result in unexpected loss of power, delayed acceleration, or failure to properly engage gears, placing drivers, passengers, and others on the roadway at risk. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate transmission failures in the 2013 Ford F-150 Flex Fuel and determine whether this model should be included in any existing or future safety recalls or other corrective actions. Owners should not be responsible for thousands of dollars in repairs when the failure may be the result of a widespread defect. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

... as an internal transmission failure. Symptoms included harsh engagement, delayed shifting, hesitation, slipping, and repeated powertrain malfunction messages. The vehicle was out of service for 26 consecutive days during the most recent repair. A NHTSA VIN lookup shows four active unrepaired recalls: a transmission rollaway hazard affecting the parking system (26S48), two seatbelt pretensioner recalls involving inadvertent deployment or failure to retract (25S31 and 26S34), and a chrome trim recall involving sharp edges (26S38). All four recalls currently have no remedy available, with estimated repair dates extending into late 2026 and 2027. These defects affect critical safety systems including the power train, seat belts, and parking system. The rollaway hazard recall indicates the vehicle may move unexpectedly even when shifted into Park, creating a serious risk of injury or collision. The seatbelt pretensioner recalls involve components that may deploy without warning or fail to retract, increasing the risk of injury in a crash. The chrome trim recall involves sharp edges that may injure occupants. Combined with repeated transmission failures, these issues create multiple simultaneous safety risks. This could have resulted in a catastrophic, tragic accident had I been out on the road but it happened as I was attempting to pull out of my driveway. I could have been killed. Other people potentially could have been injured or killed if this happened while driving on the road. I had the truck towed to a
... local repair shop, who looked at the truck and indicated that due to the type of problem it had to be serviced by a Ram certified repair shop. We then had to truck towed to Quirk, a certified repair service center. Upon their inspection they discovered that the POWER STEERING RACK broke in half! They said that this is unusual for a vehicle with such low mileage of 29,779 miles and that this is very dangerous. The cost to repair my truck is $4,500 and there is a long wait time for the part because of a back order. Why, I wonder is there a back order? Is this a very serious safety issue that other Ram truck owners are dealing with as well?Read more

The reporting citizen was driving legally on [XXX] going forward towards the parking lot next to the round about when an uncrewed, autonomous commercial vehicle operated by Waymo suffered a catastrophic software/hardware failure. The 6,000-pound driverless robot taxi aggressively pursued and chased the citizen’s vehicle in reverse for that full city block despite honking the horn and then holdin
... g it down the entire time as the killing 6,000 lbs robot car kept reversing towards the citizens car instead of going forward, forcing the citizen out into a perpendicular intersecting road onto [XXX] The citizen safely evaded a severe collision solely through high-speed defensive driving, reversing, and holding down the horn to warn surrounding motorists of the out-of-control vehicle. The autonomous system failed to stop, recognize the citizen's vehicle, or register the horn. Upon reviewing the internal vehicle data and footage, Waymo’s corporate office confirmed to the citizen on several calls after the [XXX] reporting that this specific vehicle "went rogue." Waymo admitted the failure was severe enough that they immediately pulled the specific vehicle out of operational service. I have several case #s from Waymo of each call admitting fault. These 6000 lbs killing car robots are NOT SAFE and should not be allowed on public roads where real humans are driving! I can’t sleep since [XXX] due to the nightmares of these killing car robots trying to kill me. I must factor in extra time to go anywhere as I cannot have these killing car robots near me and they are everywhere in my area. I visibly shake and sweat involuntarily whenever I see one of these even from very far away or even think about them—which is pretty much always now since [XXX]. Because Waymo deployed a malfunctioning 6,000-pound autonomous vehicle that aggressively chased a resident on public streets, this is an immediate Public Safety Hazard and Reckless Endangerment issue caused by Waymo.
