The vehicle has stalled in traffic multiple times, it sends emergency messages while operating that the vehicle must pull off of the road or shut down, it is constantly displaying "service stop/ start system" messages and service lights, it sometimes doesn't start after having gotten to a location but will start up without having the vehicle jump started later, it drains the batteries quickly, as
... well. I was on the highway with my son in the vehicle, not near any exit and in thick traffic, when it told me to pull off the road or it may shut down. On a separate occasion, I had my family in the car, we stopped for an event and the vehicle randomly didn't restart, stranding us until we could reach another ride. Another time I was driving to work and it the engine shut off and when I tried to go it randomly did not go and I had to shut the vehicle down while in traffic, restart the engine and put it back into drive before I could allow traffic to move again. I took it to an authorized Jeep/ Chrysler Dealership for these issues and no recalls were put out for my vehicle, despite these exact issues being a part of a recall of nearly 13,000 Fiat Chrysler vehicles under NHTSA 18V524000 (Chrysler recall U87).Read more

The individuals at Honda automotive corporate are very disrespectful and as a handicap woman who uses this vehicle as a family vehicle it was a great essence to get the taillight part repaired and purchased because I almost got into a couple accidents because the tail lights were not working. We have submitted all our reimbursement paper to them as well as the receipts and proof of payments and they still have not refunded us we ask for your help in this matter as it is greatly appreciated because this was a safety recall and they know that, and they still have disregarded reimbursing us for the parts that we purchased prior to the recall, if you need anything else from us, we have submitted our reimbursement form our payment proof, as well as the proof that it was purchased and done at the Acura certified dealership. Our car is a certified vehicle that we purchased from Acura and we always get our work for service done at certified Acura dealerships. Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated as this has been going on for a couple years and I tried to work with them, but they are very difficult in getting our money back every time they ask for something we send it and they say they need more. This sound happened about three more times that day. I took the vehicle back to a Honda dealer today and I was just notified that they are going to be replacing the front two control arms. The vehicle is still under warranty. I was told that this is a common issue by the honda dealer. And it should only take a few hours to fix panning my parts are received tomorrow morning. Vehicle is a 2019 Honda CR-V (1.5L Turbo) experiencing an active internal mechanical failure—suspected collapsing/sticking piston rings bypassing the combustion chamber, resulting in severe, unmeasured oil consumption. The dealership (Wesley Chapel Honda) filled the engine with new oil and refuses to perform an internal diagnostic teardown or provide a safe alternative vehicle. Instead, they ar
... e advising me to operate this vehicle for an additional 2,000 miles to complete a corporate "consumption test" to prove the defect for warranty authorization. Operating a vehicle with a known, rapid, and erratic oil depletion defect for thousands of miles presents a severe, immediate safety hazard to my family and others on the road. If the engine oil drops below critical operating levels unexpectedly between manual checks, the engine faces an immediate risk of catastrophic metal-on-metal friction, thermal expansion, and sudden engine seizure at highway speeds. This creates an extreme driving liability, including an instantaneous loss of all motive power, a sudden loss of vital power steering and power braking assist (making the vehicle incredibly heavy and difficult to control or maneuver safely to a shoulder), and a high risk of an engine bay fire due to intense friction and fluid ignition. This is a known issue that I presented to them in March. At that time the PCV valve was replaced along with new spark plugs. The problem continues to persist. This matter is actively documented with Honda Corporate under Case #16466779. A manufacturer protocol should not supersede passenger safety by forcing the prolonged operation of a defective vehicle. The dealership has advised that this is a known issue with the 2019 Honda CRV with piston rings failing. This needs to be made public and a recall for Honda to fix.Read more

Incident date: May 17, 2026
I am reporting two separate safety-related failures on this low-mileage vehicle. The first occurred at 2,431 miles while driving on the highway. The vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and coasted with no throttle response, and multiple warning lights and messages appeared simultaneously, including braking, electronic parking brake, and driver-assistance warnings. A sudden, unexpected loss of power a
... t highway speed creates a serious crash risk, including rear-end collision, particularly with faster or following traffic. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Kia dealer on 3/9/26 and returned on 3/19/26 after wiring/connector-related work. The second failure occurred at 4,658 miles when the panoramic sunroof glass suddenly shattered while the vehicle was in motion. A spontaneous glass failure while driving is a safety hazard: had the interior sunshade been open, falling glass could have struck rear-seat passengers, and shattering glass while driving can cause driver distraction and loss of vehicle control, as well as a road hazard to surrounding vehicles. The vehicle was taken to the same authorized Kia dealer on 4/1/26 and remained there until 5/21/26. The sunroof was not repaired. The dealer's repair order states that it "cannot identify a specific outside object or cause" and that "no damage was found clearly identifying an external object as the cause," which is consistent with a spontaneous glass failure rather than external impact. Despite this, warranty assistance was denied on the basis that an outside impact "could not be ruled out." I am concerned these represent defects involving the panoramic sunroof glass and/or the vehicle's electrical and safety systems. Both failures occurred well under 5,000 miles and within months of each other. Across the two repair visits, the vehicle was out of service for approximately 60 total calendar days, including roughly 50 days for the sunroof issue, which remains unrepaired.Read more

I am filing this complaint because my 2019 Honda Pilot has developed a serious safety-related defect. When I started the vehicle, multiple warning lights remain on, including the LKAS, ACC, CMBS, and Brake System warnings. I haven't had it inspected by the dealer yet, as the closest dealer is 25 miles away down a curvy mountain road. I expect that it will be determined that the front-facing camera
... has failed. Because this camera supports several driver-assistance and warning systems, the failure has made those systems unreliable and prevents the vehicle from accurately alerting me to other potential problems. This creates a significant safety concern because, if another malfunction occurs, I may not be able to distinguish it from the existing warnings. The warning lights remain active unless the camera is replaced at an estimated cost of $2,600. I do not believe owners should be responsible for such an expensive repair when the failure affects critical safety and warning functions. This issue appears to be recurring among 2019 Honda Pilots, with similar complaints reported by other owners online and in social media forums. I respectfully request that Honda investigate this defect and provide an appropriate remedy, including repair assistance or coverage for the failed camera system.Read more

The passenger-side second-row bench seat (60 percent section of the 60/40 split) has a defective seat track/latch assembly that fails in both directions: it seizes completely when it should slide, and it failed to stay latched while the vehicle was in motion. The seat saw almost no use for the first 34 months of ownership (third row kept folded). Within two weeks of its first regular use (XXX, ap
... prox. 45,700 miles), it seized completely and could not be moved in either direction. An authorized Toyota dealership in Placerville, CA disassembled the seat and documented in writing that the seat track was twisted and rubbing against the seat frame. The dealer straightened the track rather than replacing it and stated on the invoice that if the seat stopped moving again, both seat tracks should be replaced and the seat frame itself may need replacement or adjustment. After that repair, in approximately mid-June 2026, the bench slid FORWARD on its own as my wife braked for a stoplight, the track failed to remain latched with the vehicle in motion. Two rear-facing infant car seats are installed on this bench, and our toddlers reach the third row through this seat. On XXX (approx. 46,416 miles, 33 days and about 700 miles after the repair), the seat seized again. The vehicle is currently at a second authorized Toyota dealership in [XXX] for diagnosis and is available for inspection upon request. Safety risk: a second-row seat that does not remain latched cannot properly restrain occupants or anchored child restraints during hard braking or a crash, and a seized seat blocks third-row access and egress for children, including in an emergency. There were no warning lamps or prior symptoms before either failure. Note: NHTSA recall 26V128 covers 2021-2024 Highlander second-row seats that fail to lock; this Grand Highlander is not included in that campaign but exhibits a similar failure to remain latched. I am submitting this complaint regarding the 10-speed automatic transmission in my 2020 Ford F-150 because I believe it presents a potential safety hazard. The transmission has exhibited harsh and unpredictable shifting, including hard upshifts, hard downshifts, delayed engagement when shifting into Drive or Reverse, and sudden jerking during acceleration and deceleration. The vehicle has also ex
... perienced hesitation followed by abrupt engagement, creating unsafe driving conditions, especially when entering traffic, making turns, or driving at highway speeds. These transmission problems have occurred repeatedly and have become more frequent over time. The unpredictable operation increases the risk of losing control of the vehicle or being involved in a crash due to delayed or unexpected acceleration. I have maintained the vehicle according to the manufacturer's recommended service schedule and have sought repairs. Despite these efforts, the transmission issues have persisted. The truck has 26k miles and I have only used it as daily transportation. I am aware that many owners of Ford vehicles equipped with the 10-speed automatic transmission have reported similar problems. Because these issues appear to be widespread and involve a critical safety-related component, I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate these transmission failures to determine whether a safety defect exists and whether additional action is warranted.
