The brake hydraulic control unit (HCU) has malfunctioned as described in recall campaign 24V-896/C4B, resulting in the ABS and Traction Control warning lights remaining illuminated on the dashboard for an extended period. This indicates an ongoing loss of ABS/Traction Control system function, which increases the risk of a crash during hard braking or slippery conditions, per the manufacturer's own
... description of this defect. I have not taken it to a dealer for a repair attempt because the manufacturer's own service bulletin confirms no remedy/parts are currently available for this vehicle's configuration. No crash has occurred to date, but the vehicle is being driven with a known, unaddressed active safety defect with no manufacturer timeline for correction.Read more

On July 7, 2026, my 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 experienced a serious engine malfunction. After stopping at a traffic light, the engine began shaking violently and idling roughly. When the traffic light turned green, the vehicle accelerated extremely slowly and had very little power, making it difficult to clear the intersection. The engine continued running roughly, and I was concerned the vehicle
... could stall in active traffic. At the same time, the ECO start/stop system automatically disabled itself and displayed "OFF" in white on the instrument cluster. Because the vehicle appeared unsafe to drive, I had the vehicle towed to Mercedes-Benz of San Jose on July 8, 2026. The dealer confirmed the rough-running engine condition and advised that the cylinder head ("engine top") must be replaced. This incident occurred after three repair attempts for recurring engine-related check engine light faults within approximately six months: 1.January 23–28, 2026: Check engine light illuminated. Dealer diagnosed fault in motor electronics for code P240200 (Actuation of the pump in the diagnostic module of the evaporative emission control system has a short circuit to positive). Separated diagnostic module from charcoal canister. Replaced. Cleared codes. System OK. 2.May 13–26, 2026: Check engine light illuminated again. Dealer diagnosed fault code P260F00 (monitoring of the evaporative emission control system has a malfunction). Multiple diagnostic tests were performed. All OK. Evap system OK. No replacements of parts before the vehicle was released. 3.July 4, 2026: Check engine light illuminated for a third time. On July 7, the engine began running extremely rough while stopped at a traffic light, causing a significant loss of power and severely limited acceleration. The vehicle was subsequently towed to the dealership. I am submitting this report because the recurring engine malfunction has progressed to a sudden loss of power in traffic, creating a potential safety hazard.Read more

The other weekend, we were unloading the back of the Lincoln when all of a sudden the liftgate came down on us. Fortunately, we were able to back away in time... The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while his fiancé was stopped at a stop sign, the vehicle accelerated violently after depressing the accelerator pedal, and the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle continued accelerating while depressing the brake pedal. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed through a yard, into a road sign, before crashing into the rear

Attached are pics of my failed 7 pole connector. The part number is (Hopkins #XXX). I took the RV to 24/7 Motorcoach and Victoria, Parts Manager, [XXX] Ext #5) filed claim #XXX on XXX. The claim was "Under Review" for almost a month. Now shows Approved Processing. I have a trip planned for tomorrow with my enclosed car trailer and did not have time to wait for the part. I purchased the replacemen
... t part myself from NAPA Auto Parts (Part #755-2621) and installed it myself. The same failure occurred. One of the pins pulled out and the lights/turn signals/brake/hazard/running lights/brake controller did not function properly or at all. I took the RV back to 24/7 Motorcoach and they removed the entire old back part of the connector which was connected directly to the 7 wires with spades, heat shrink tubing and silicone. They replaced the part with a different part (Hopkins #48474) which does not require a wiring harness. My Dynamax DX3 32KD did not come with a wiring harness. The original part #XXXrequires a harness to be installed properly and Hopkins sells an optional harness (part #40985) which MUST BE USED with part #40950. That is why the pin kept pulling out and the other pins were disconnected from the connector. In addition, the 20amp fuse in the engine compartment that provides power to the connector was blown. I have the blown fuse. I also have all of the part from the failed connector and all of the heat shrink and silicone pieces along with the failed connector. Clearly, Dynamax installed the connector incorrectly and this caused the failure. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My 2020 E450 has not been serviced on schedule due to Mercedes-Benz of Indianapolis and its service manger banning and blacklisting me for months. This service department would not allow my vehicle to be serviced under a prepaid maintenance and wheel and tire plan, and most importantly my vehicle's warranty. When I went there for an appointment, a flat tire, or help with my vehicle, they kicked me
... out, verbally harassed and threatened me because I did not pay the deductible on a loaner vehicle because my signature was forged to submit a false claim. I have had problems with my vehicle, but most recently, as I was driving on a roundabout in rush hour traffic, when my vehicle suddeny stopped and experienced lack of compulsion and would not drive. It had already had a check light engine, tires, batteries, and brakes. It was surprising because my 2020 E450 Mercedes-Benz had only 39,000 miles. I did not have anywhere to take it to. Mercedes-Benz Customer Care authorized it to be towed to the Mercedes-Benz of Fort Wayne because the service manager black listed me from surrounding MercedesBenz service departments. When my vehicle was towed to Fort Wayne, the service department would not allow me to use my warranty. It had expired before I had a chance to use my prepaid plans. I explained my issues, and in April and May, I told them about a recall. They ignored me, but saw problems and concerns of safety while I wad driving. They did find leaking and now what to charge me $26,000 to replace mt vehicle's engine, such as a leakage and symptoms of the exact signs of what the recall states. As of today, Mercedes-Benz of Fort Wayne has had my vehicle since April 1, 2026, (three months) in an unassembled state. Now, they are threatening to charge storage fees and sieze by vehicle even though it is unsafe to drive. Thank you for taking time to read this.Read more

I am reporting a severe, intermittent loss of Electronic Power Steering (EPS) assist on a 2022 Ram ProMaster cargo van at ~21,000 miles. The defect causes sudden drops in steering assistance and erratic wheel-jerking under heavy electrical loads during rapid, low-speed turns while parking.A professional dealer teardown and inspection at Dutch Miller Ram confirmed that environmental rainwater from
... the windshield cowl completely breached the factory weatherproofing seals. Standing liquid was found pooling inside the bottom floor of the connector housing, causing severe copper oxidation (galvanic corrosion) and visible electrical arcing on a constantly energized 12V male pin inside the EPS gear cylinder. This high-current bottleneck drops voltage under load, causing the internal ECU to cut assist as a safety fail-safe.Critically, this design defect created an immediate, progressive cascading failure dating back to the very first month of ownership. Because this 12V power line remains constantly "hot" while parked, the pooling water established an un-metered short-circuit bridge directly to the frame ground. This forced an aggressive parasitic electrical drain that repeatedly flattened the battery after sitting for short two-week intervals throughout its lifespan, destroying the original factory battery. The dealer's safety protocol requires a complete steering rack replacement. However, because Ram recognized this vulnerability, they completely superseded the part with a redesigned assembly that forces consumers to purchase new, non-faulty tie rod assemblies just to make it compatible, inflating costs to over $6,000. This data directly supports the active NHTSA investigation into 2022-2023 ProMaster steering modules. Furthermore I imagine that since some people may continue to drive the vehicle under this particular condition of "barely being affected" until there is sudden failure on the highway or zero signs prior to catastrophic failure. In the past 18 months the vehicle has experienced phantom breaking while driving 3 times. Each time there were no vehicles within 30 or more feet from the vehicle. All 3 times occurred while driving the vehicle and going between 20-40 mph. The vehicle engaged in an emergency break and stopped the car in the road. All three times could have resulted in a major accident as it occurred on busy
... roadways. This last time it happened in the middle of an intersection with no vehicles around me or behind me. This is a major safety concern and put my family and I in a potentially dangerous situation that could have caused major injuries to myself, my family and others around us. The vehicle is currently with Cadillac being inspected. During conversations with Cadillac they said this is a known issue and suggested that I turn the mechanism off and bypass the safety feature to avoid it from happening again. This is not a systematic fix. This is a bypass. We purchased the car for the safety and security and how sophisticated the safety mechanisms are and we have now been told as a suggestion to simply bypass it. This is very concerning on a national level of That the vehicle is known for doing this. We no longer feel safe in this vehicle The dealer has not confirmed if they have gotten it to duplicate. I am the original owner of a 2020 Honda Odyssey Elite. On July 7, 2026, at approximately 76,127 miles, five safety-system warning messages suddenly appeared simultaneously upon startup: Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Auto High Beam Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, and Lane Keeping Assist System Problem. Restarting the vehicle several times d
... id not clear the warnings. After the vehicle sat for approximately 30 minutes, the warnings disappeared. On July 8, after driving approximately 400 miles home, I parked the vehicle outside in approximately 110-degree heat. About two hours later, upon startup, the same five warnings reappeared simultaneously, along with the Brake System warning light. An authorized Honda dealer confirmed the multiple warnings and performed a DTC scan. Code U3000-49 was stored, indicating an internal failure of the multipurpose camera located behind the rearview mirror. Further testing confirmed that camera replacement was required. The dealer replaced and recalibrated the multipurpose camera at 76,567 miles. The repair cost was $1,631.80 for parts and $717.50 for labor, totaling $2,349.30. I am concerned that failure of a single internal camera component simultaneously disabled multiple driver-assistance and collision-avoidance safety systems. I believe NHTSA should investigate whether multipurpose camera failures associated with DTC U3000-49 represent a recurring safety defect in 2020 Honda Odyssey vehicles.Read more

This is a followup to a complaint that I submitted on July 10, 2026 at 10:19:37 AM, tracking #11749522. The incident that I am reporting today occurred on July 7, 2026 when my son was driving my 2025 Ridgeline alone. I was not aware of this incident until I happened to mention to him what I had experienced with the auto stop re-start failure (no restart after auto start/stop engages). He then r
... eported to me that on July 7th while he was driving the Ridgeline he experienced a similar incident. When he pulled up to a busy intersection the vehicle failed to re-start after shutting off at the intersection. He said he did not know what was happening and panicked a bit. Until I brought up my incident to him he said that he thought he had done something wrong when operating the Ridgeline because he does not drive the vehicle very often. He said that he placed the vehicle in park and opened the door, similar to what I had done. He said that after he did this the vehicle did re-start which is exactly what I experienced. This is two failures with same vehicle within the same week. I called the Honda Service Department on Friday, July 10, 2026 and have scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, July 14, 2026. When I mentioned NHTSA ODI had launched new Investigation on March 26, 2026 and mentioned Service Bulletins 23-008 and 23-099 to the Service Advisor he told me that they did not apply to my model year including 10-year extended warranty with unlimited mileage also did not apply. He said that my vehicle was still under factory warranty and to bring it in so that they can complete an analysis and order parts if needed. The Service Advisor said "full disclosure, Honda has not developed or provided the updated part needed to fix the problem." Those were his words. I have read that SB 23-008 and 23-099 do not fix this problem and if not completed correctly can create additional problems making me very concerned with what the dealer will propose to fix this problem.Read more

Tesla's FSD system has ZERO opportunity for the driver to adjust what the car believes is the speed limit. My car often has no idea what the speed limit is. More often than not, it believes the speed limit is lower than it actually is, by as much as 30 MPH. This causes the car to impede traffic if I do not intervene. I can press and hold the accelerator to force the car to drive the speed limi
... t, however I am then faced with a warning that the car will not automatically brake in an emergency. I run my car in "Sloth" or "Chill" 99% of the time to prevent speeding (something you should actually enforce), and this is really where the issue becomes somewhat problematic. If I'm on a 55 MPH road driving 55-57 and the car suddenly decides the speed limit is 30, in sloth, it will decelerate aggressively, making people behind me think I'm nuts... could potentially be dangerous. Recently I was on a "new" road into a campground, a couple days after school ended and there were children around, the speed limit on the road is posted at 20... the car said [XXX], and proceeded to accelerate aggressively of course I terminated the FSD session and just drove the car myself. But no matter which way it is, it's insane that I cannot adjust the speed limit to whatever the speed limit actually is. I own this car, and I pay for FSD for one reason, I'm getting older [XXX], and my driving skills and reflexes are not what they used to be. I'm spending my money to increase safety... please insist that Tesla allow us to adjust the speed limit, or provide a way to get them to do it in a timely manner. I report these situations to Tesla often... not once have they adjusted whatever they use in the background... same problems on the same roads over and over and over, day after day. Please force them to do the right thing! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

This concern is related to the widespread failure of exterior paint / clear coat with Ford vehicles. What is known as "crows feet" - that is, the cracking of the clear coat - is becoming increasingly apparent on my black 2017 Ford Explorer Sport, which has been carefully maintained and garage kept for at least 50% of its life. The cracks look like sharp edges in the shape of a crow's foot left ind
... entations in the paint. The appearance of the cracking on a metallic paint is difficult to capture with photos, but very apparent to the naked eye. The crows feet started showing-up approximately four years ago, and it was only recently that I learned what it was and that it is a "known" problem with Ford's paint. This problem is endemic of an issue with the paint, primer or hardener used by Ford during the manufacturing process. In other words, the issue is the result of poor materials and workmanship. Furthermore, the issue is widespread and known to have affected countless owners across multiple models and year models.Read more
