While driving about 70 mph in the express lanes, the vehicle suddenly lost power and drifted like it went into neutral. There were no warning symbols. The vehicle could not restart even while coasting. After stopping, it locked itself in park and would not shift out of park. My family and I were trapped on the express lanes for over an hour in a dangerous location. The vehicle stayed stuck in park
... even on the tow truck. The dealer confirmed metal in the oil filter, a blown main fuse, and knocking when starting. The recall inspection and remedy were already done, but the failure still happened. The vehicle is undriveable and the required recall repair cannot be completed because the replacement engine is on backorder with no ETA.Read more

I am submitting supplemental evidence regarding my 2021 GMC Sierra (VIN [XXX]) for Recall Query RQ26001, Campaign 25V-274. Despite multiple repair attempts, my vehicle remains unsafe and non-compliant with GM Service Bulletin N252494002. The recall remedy was performed deficiently. [XXX] Northeast Buick GMC installed a remanufactured short block instead of the required complete engine, reused the
... original seized-engine oil pan (which continues to leak), and failed to address critical electrical damage. Documentation proves they deleted Labor Operation 14BUZ (Engine Electrical) after their technician noted a blown mega fuse. A second dealer, Penske Chevrolet, subsequently deleted Labor Operation 77CVZ01 from my repair order, demonstrating a systemic pattern of ignoring recall-required repairs. Electrical damage has cascaded, resulting in a burnt fuse block and active faults P0615, P0617, P26E4, P26E6, U0623, and U0284. More critically, within 24 miles of my last service, the vehicle developed a new, severe safety failure: the "Service Brake Pad Monitor" system failed, accompanied by a red "Service System" dashboard alert and a noticeably spongy brake pedal. These brakes were recently serviced, yet this failure introduces a new risk of crash not present prior to the recall "remedy." GM Executive Resolution Case XXX has provided no resolution, reimbursement, or safety assurance, ignoring all deadlines since XXX. I possess extensive documentation, including service orders showing deleted labor operations and diagnostic logs. I request this update be integrated into the investigation of RQ26001, as the current remedy is demonstrably ineffective and has exacerbated safety hazards. The manufacturer’s refusal to remediate these issues, despite my compliance, leaves me with an unsafe vehicle and significant financial loss. I am prepared to provide all supporting records to substantiate this complaint. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

While traveling at the posted speed limit and approaching a signalized intersection, I attempted to brake for stopped traffic ahead. The vehicle did not decelerate as expected, and the automatic emergency braking/forward collision mitigation system did not activate or provide any braking assistance. Additionally, no forward collision warning or audible/visual alert was provided prior to impact. A
... red warning indicator illuminated immediately before the collision; however, there was insufficient time to take additional evasive action. As a result, my vehicle rear-ended the vehicle stopped in front of me. The apparent failure of the braking assistance and forward collision warning systems placed both myself and the occupants of the other vehicle at risk, resulting in a motor vehicle collision. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The cause of the malfunction has not yet been confirmed by a dealer or independent repair facility (UNKNOWN). The vehicle has been inspected by law enforcement and insurance representatives as part of the accident investigation. Prior to the incident, I had not observed any warning lamps, messages, or symptoms indicating a problem with the braking or forward collision systems. The only warning observed was the red indicator light that appeared immediately before the collision.Read more

... e turn signals or hazard lights. I turned the car on/off multiple times to get it to work. We were stuck in the middle of a busy road above a highway with cars exiting during rush hour. Cars moving fast around me with my whole family in the car. Could have caused major accident. Chrysler dealer could not help right away. Took to own mechanic. Recreated issue, replaced Aux Battery (which should NOT have all safety features tied to it), and re-flashed 3 modules that were ruined from this. Thought this was fixed but next time out, same things started happening, but now says to service airbags as well. I will not have my family in the car with an airbag malfunction. Now saying 2-4 thousand to fix, more modules fried and ONLY the beginning. Car has only been inspected by dealer to pull codes, then mechanic. Like I said the windshield wipers were going and couldn't be controlled but no other warning lights. This did not indicate a battery failure and EVERY safety feature to be turned off. This is not designed/wired correctly and I need Chrysler to take action on this situation. My whole family could have been seriously injured and any other Chrysler with this design needs to be fixed or taken off the road.Read more

When vehicles comes to a stop, sometimes there is a hesitation in vehicle acceleration. Vehicle will jerk, then accelerate 3-4 seconds after pressing down throttle. Car does not provide or show error codes. There is currently a Toyota Service Bulletin for the exact same issue for the Toyota highlander (TSB-0017-24) which address the issue "Hesitation felt while accelerating at low speeds." And the
... fix involves a software update for the engine control unit. Since there is no official documentation for the Toyota crown platinum which shares the same engine configuration, Toyota refuses to provide a resolution. This puts vehicles occupants at risk of a crash, as if you are expecting to accelerate and the vehicle refuses, another driver might not anticipate this and put you at risk of a crash due to the inability to accelerate properly and safely.Read more

The lower plastic trim/bezel piece at the base of the steering wheel repeatedly detaches from the steering wheel while the vehicle is in use. It has come loose [and fallen off] on multiple occasions. The component is still in my possession and is available for inspection upon request. I believe the retaining fastener securing this trim piece was overtightened during manufacturing, which stripped o
... r damaged the mounting boss/threads in the plastic so that the part can no longer be held securely. Reinstalling the piece does not resolve the issue; it works loose again during normal driving. This creates a safety risk. The trim is located on the steering wheel itself, directly adjacent to the driver airbag module. A piece that detaches during driving becomes a loose object in the driver's lap or footwell, which is a distraction and a potential interference with pedal operation. It also raises concern about the integrity of the surrounding steering wheel assembly and airbag cover in a deployment event, since the mounting point appears to be damaged. I have taken the vehicle to three separate franchised GM dealers. The condition was observed by dealer personnel; however, the repair was denied under the factory warranty by the manufacturer. To my knowledge no root-cause inspection or teardown of the mounting point has been performed, and the manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle directly. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. There were no warning lamps, chimes, or dashboard messages preceding or accompanying the failure — this is a mechanical/fastener failure with no associated electronic indicator. The first detachment occurred at approximately 8,000 miles, while the vehicle was under the original factory bumper-to-bumper warranty.Read more

In early XXX, I noticed that water was pooling in the spare tire well. I took it to a Chevrolet dealership and they concluded that the rear sunroof drains were clogged. After unclogging the drains and confirming adequate sealing of the tubes, rain water was still leaking into the spare tire well. This is causing mold on the carpet and rust. This same issue, with the same year/make/model, happened
... to somebody else around the same time, and they made a post on Reddit ([XXX]). I believe there is an issue with the drainage system, leading to auto parts potentially rusting and mold growth, both of which severely harm the driver and passengers.
