The CEL flashed 2 days earlier, I immediately pulled to the side of the road and turned the vehicle off, suspecting it may be a misfire. Restarted the vehicle and all seemed fine. After arriving home i plugged in my scanner to check for a code. No codes were found. I decided to carry my scanner in the vehicle, and plugged it in before starting a 10 mile drive to a store. After 3 miles, the CE

When I restarted the engine, a heard a rattling sound and turned it off. I then called the dealer and asked me to have it towed in. The dealer diagnosed a cylinder #3 spun rod bearing. This occured at 68,517 odometer miles.Read more

In May 2022, the air conditioning condenser on my 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid was replaced due to AC failure. In April 2023, shortly after purchasing the vehicle following a lease buyout, I returned with the same AC issue and was told the condenser may have been defective and it was replaced again. I then took the vehicle to another authorized Honda dealership, where I was told the condenser may not
... have been replaced previously, and it was replaced again. Dye was added to the AC system at South Motors Honda to identify a leak. Despite this, Largo Honda later charged me again to add dye, stating they could not access the prior dealership’s diagnostic records, even though both are Honda-authorized dealerships. After continued AC failure, two authorized Honda dealerships have now diagnosed the issue as a leaking air conditioning evaporator and documented the failure with video evidence. Loss of air conditioning impacts driver safety by impairing windshield defogging and creating unsafe cabin temperatures, particularly in hot weather. This represents a premature failure of a non-wear component. This issue has persisted since 2022. The manufacturer declined repair assistance despite repeated repairs and dealer-confirmed diagnostics.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety defect involving my Honda Odyssey equipped with Honda Sensing technology. During normal operation and without any accident, impact, windshield damage, repair, or environmental event, all Honda Sensing safety systems suddenly and simultaneously stopped working. The disabled systems include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruis
... e Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Forward Collision Warning, and related camera- and radar-based features. Multiple warning messages appeared, and the vehicle effectively lost all advanced driver-assistance and collision-avoidance capabilities at once. This occurred without warning and without any action on my part. This failure is extremely concerning because Honda Sensing features are marketed and relied upon as critical active safety systems intended to help prevent or mitigate crashes. A sudden, total loss of these systems materially reduces vehicle safety and places occupants and other road users at increased risk. A safety system that can fail entirely and unexpectedly—absent any triggering event—indicates a potential systemic defect, not routine maintenance or wear. I am concerned this issue may affect other Honda vehicles equipped with Honda Sensing and may be related to a common failure in cameras, radar units, software, or vehicle electronics. I respectfully request that NHTSA review and log this complaint, investigate this failure pattern, and determine whether a defect investigation, service bulletin, or recall is warranted in the interest of public safety. Vehicle: 2025 Honda Prologue Location: Sacramento, California Date of Incident: [XXX] What failed or malfunctioned The vehicle experienced a sudden loss of directional stability involving the steering system, brake-by-wire system, and electronic stability control (ESC). Steering and braking inputs did not produce proportional vehicle response. What happened While driving under normal conditio
... ns, the vehicle began drifting to the left. I attempted to steer back to the right and applied braking; however, the vehicle did not respond as expected. Electronic stability control did not appear to engage or correct the loss of control. The vehicle then deviated from its intended path, overturned, and struck a fence. The vehicle was declared a total loss. No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries occurred. Safety risk This failure created an immediate and serious safety risk. The loss of steering and braking effectiveness could have resulted in severe injury or fatality. The rollover demonstrates a critical safety concern. Warning signs No warning lights, messages, or symptoms were present prior to the failure. The event occurred suddenly without notice. Inspections The vehicle was inspected by police and insurance representatives. The manufacturer has not yet inspected the vehicle. The vehicle remains available for inspection through the insurance provider. Dealer confirmation The issue has not yet been reproduced due to the vehicle being totaled. Additional concerns The vehicle’s behavior was inconsistent with normal operation of safety-critical systems designed to maintain vehicle control. I am concerned about system performance, calibration, or possible electronic control failure. Manufacturer contact I reported this issue to Honda Customer Care by phone and requested escalation to engineering review.
