The recall for the 2025 accord hybrids should be extended to more models. I have the se trim and I'm having the same issues. Also when I use air condition or heat there's a grinding noise. I brought to the dealer multiple times and showed them videos of it making the sound with no resolution. The grinding noise problem has been ever since I got the car and was always told there is no problem.

The car stalls upon acceleration while driving. At times it will stall in the middle of the road; skipping repeatedly or simply not accelerating at all. There are often no warning signs at all, though when it skips repeatedly upon acceleration, the engine check light will appear. The car can be available for inspection upon request.

I wanted to register a complaint on an issue we have experienced in our 2024 Honda Prologue EX Elite with the "CV axles." Symptoms of the problem were knocking sounds heard from the lower, front section of the car when accelerating from a stop and turning at the same time. It was first noticed around 4

Based on many blog postings about consumer experiences with this issue, I believe it would have been difficult for Honda to unknowingly sell this car with this as a design defect, and it does not have a fix other than replacing with the same part which is prone to failure. Again, this claim can be backed up by many other consumer postings which reference defective CV axles being replaced multiple times. We would have made a wiser decision on purchase selection and are now concerned about resale value of the car. We are asking for your help in a recall mandate after evaluating the problem for Honda Prologues and GM vehicles using the same platform.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to formally report a serious and widespread safety defect involving the front-facing camera system on my 2021 Honda Pilot. These systems are not optional or convenience features. They are advertised and sold as essential safety technology intended to reduce accidents, mitigate driver error, and protect human life. Their failure substantially impairs the vehicle’s safety performance and creates a foreseeable risk of serious accidents, injuries, or fatalities, particularly during highway driving or emergency situations. When I sought assistance from the dealership, I was informed that Honda would not cover the repair because the vehicle exceeded a mileage threshold. This rationale is unreasonable and misleading. A front-facing camera is not a wear-and-tear component and has no logical connection to mileage accumulation. It is an electronic safety system whose premature failure suggests a defect in design, materials, or manufacturing. I then contacted Honda directly, and the manufacturer again refused to provide assistance, citing mileage alone while failing to address the safety implications or defect characteristics. This refusal appears to be an attempt to avoid responsibility for a known safety-related failure rather than a legitimate warranty determination. Further research reveals that this issue is not isolated. Numerous Honda owners have experienced identical front camera failures resulting in the same loss of safety systems. The error message “Power Tailgate Problem” appeared on the dash. Following the error message, the power tailgate stopped working. It would not open or close with the remote, the button on the dash, or the button on the tailgate itself. I discovered water had been leaking in the tailgate and the trunk area of my vehicle as well as the back seat that was folded down in storage had gotten soaked.
... I took my van to the service center and they told me it was the seal above the door and that the leak had ruined the power module controlling the door. They repaired the issues. That was in April 2025. The same thing happened last week (January 2026). After looking into the error message and the tailgate problem, I’m finding that the door may open or close at any time on its own. The water in the electrical module may also start a fire. I have two small children and this van is our primary vehicle. I’ve reached out to the dealership from which I purchased the van, I reached out to a local Honda dealer and I contacted Honda customer service and no one is willing to fix this issue. I will be required to pay out of pocket again. I’m requesting a recall on this defect in design.Read more

The vehicle at speed from 40mph and upwards has sticky steering issues that require potential overcorrection from the driver to maintain the vehicle on a straight path. When the driver attempts to make subtle in-lane corrections to keep the vehicle on a straight path, the driver is unable to make small adjustments without the steering making larger adjustments and having to over-correct (ex. if th
... e driver wanted to move the steering wheel 0.5mm, the steering wheel only moves in 1mm increments). Additionally, on following curves that require the driver to adjust the steering wheel about 3-10 degrees in either direction, the steering wheel will stick and not naturally straighten out. The Honda Dealership of Chantilly, VA was able to replicate the issue and was not able to give any reason or develop a path to a solution for the owner to safely operate this Honda. There are also no warning lights or signals, I have also attempted most driving conditions (hot and cold temperatures, all speeds, and different highways), with and without driver assistance programs activated, heated steering wheel on and off, and different steering wheel adjustment positions to attempt to solve the issue at hand. These issues appeared shortly after purchase of the vehicle in late October 2025 and this issue happens on a daily basis. This steering issue presents as a safety issue due to the driver not being able to smoothly steer and having to over-correct for the steering malfunction. In any driving environment, the driver should expect to have a smooth driving experience to promote safety among all drivers on the roads. Additionally, this steering issue may be related to the already diagnosed issue of Honda gearboxes malfunctioning in previous model years. I have uploaded a service record from the Honda of Chantilly Dealership that includes the mileage and complaint from owner.Read more

At about 2:30pm Oct 14, 2025 I had a catastrophic engine failure (called the “Connecting Rod Bearings Failure”) while driving my 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck back home from shopping (a 30 minute ride). I was driving on route 95 in Massachusetts about 8 minutes from home when suddenly, out of nowhere, a noise from the front of the truck started making a knocking sound getting progressively louder
... while the truck was also slowing/ hesitating/seizing-up/jerking while its speed was slowing down. (I could not accelerate, and simultaneously ALL the lights/icons/warnings on the dashboard began blinking on and off). I struggled to get the Honda Ridgeline off the highway onto the ascending exit, and then off the exit, across the bridge to a large parking lot. I was concerned with my safety, worried I might be rear-ended while on RT95 and while ascending the exit I worried about barely making it to the end of the exit. Also, I was relieved and especially grateful to not have my 2 little grandchildren in the truck with me! I usually have 1 or both of them with me in the truck once or twice a week! Later that same afternoon I had AAA come with a flat-bed truck and brought the truck to the nearby Honda dealer. The dealer inspected and confirmed the vehicle and advised that the engine was destroyed,!! ... caused by the “Connecting Rod Bearings Failures" !! My truck only had 96,200 miles on it on October 14, 2025 and it was always serviced regularly by Honda. I've learned there are many Honda 2017 & 2019 Ridgelines that have been re-called for that defect, but for some reason my VIN number was not included by NHSTA. My truck should be included in the re-call category. It has experienced the same engine disaster as other Ridgelines that were included in the re-call. Please help. I hope the new August 25, 2025 probe will include my truck. Thank you.Read more

January 18, 2025 Subject: Request for Review – Windshield Crack on 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Dear Honda Customer Relations Team, I am writing to respectfully request a review of a windshield issue on my wife’s Subject 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which we purchased new in the summer of 2025. The vehicle currently has approximately 16,000 miles. Recently, a crack developed in the windshield measu
... ring roughly four inches in length. The crack originates at the driver-side edge near the frame and began with a very small divot. There is no visible impact crater or evidence of damage from a foreign object. Based on its location and appearance, I believe this may be consistent with an stress-related edge crack rather than road debris. Our local dealership has declined coverage, which I understand may be standard procedure at the dealership level. However, given the vehicle’s age, mileage, and the nature of the crack, I am respectfully requesting that Honda Corporate review this matter for possible warranty consideration or goodwill assistance. My wife and I have been Honda owners for over 20 years. We have consistently chosen Honda vehicles for their quality and reliability, and we have also purchased Honda vehicles for our children, who continue to drive them today. Our loyalty to the Honda brand has always been rooted in trust—trust in engineering, and trust in standing behind the product. I am not seeking special treatment, only a fair review of the circumstances. We value Honda and hope to continue that relationship for many years to come. I have attached four photographs of the windshield, including both full-view and close-up images of the crack for your review. Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate your review and look forward to your response. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX]
